When your foot hits the front stone step, it rests in a groove worn over the course of 80 years. That is a detail so interesting but no one would care about except me... Never had a better bratwurst, and i've had dozens of different ones over the years. Grilled over indirect heat, they are perfect. English bangers are also very good as a mild breakfast sausage. They have a modest variety of grocery options, dry goods and necessities. Also of note are the dozen or so BBQ sauce varieties. Service is so helpful and friendly. I loved talking with the guy at the meat counter, who explained the history of the place, and it's growing popularity with foodie travelers abroad.
