I had a great experience with Ralph and my Honda VTX 1300. I broke down on I-5 and they towed me to the shop. Ralph spent a good 45 minutes troubleshooting to see if he could get me back on the road immediately. Fuel delivery was intermittent and I left the bike for service. Received a call a few days later that it was fixed with 2 hours of labor and no parts required. The $150 towing fee was waved since I had them do the work. Ralph is awesome excellent mechanic takes pride in his work. You must be patient he's the only one there basically and he has a lot of repeat business which says a lot. You won't get your bike back in one day it may take a week or so but when you get it back it's done right and that's what is most important to me. He's also honest he saved me money by not charging me for work he didn't have to do once he opened the bike up and found out there had been modifications to my bike that allowed him to take care of my problem with out total tear down. took over four weeks to get a simple service done (four hours the harley dealer says)i had to call the police to get my bike released. Its at the harley dealer now, over $1000 to fix what he worked on, on top of it he sabataged my brakes, lights took on plug off line and unscrewed shit, he padded my $399 bill into almost $1500 . and after it was paid for and didnt work he had it for another eight days and was adding more stuff for price, i only wanted a 10k service, but then after he was paid and i still had to call the police and tow it. dont let him scam you too. the lic # on his forms doesnt exist as well. its just not worth getting killled when your on a bike. read more

lets start by,he took parts from the bike that he charged me parts and labor for after i said no way i don't want that on my bike, then SUED me to get paid for the same parts (power tuner) and labor, i call it stealing. In court under oath he said "i spent five years at MMI to get a certificate". If you call them they say its a 240 hour course.(this is why you should not let him work on your bike). you could have gone to grad school in that time. well first credit card investigation said he over charged for unauthorized parts and labor, THEN second one said the same thing. THEN, small claims said he over charged $1400 and damaged almost $1000 to electrical and other stuff for over $3000 damages. that's not the damaged to the engine or scratched the one week old custom paint. THEN at last he hired lawyer and took me to me to superior court and still they said he over charged me.And he says customer service is his goal hahaha. there you have four times, they all say the same thing. He says he has "over 30 years experience", well in court we find out that most of that was in retail sales. so if you want some one to sell you stuff hes your man. he will put a bunch of stuff on your bike that you never asked for or wanted then then when you go back because it doesn't run anymore he will take the stuff, then sue you to get paid for it, then sell it to the next guy i guess. I've put about 40 hours into cleaning up the electical and other stuff but still the heads for f'd up and so is the paint. I guess thats how they do work in your home town in Columbia. well THANK GOD FOR THE BIG "C" there will be justice. cant wait. read more

We have had such bullshit dealings with these people. After spending$500 to get an oil leaked fixed, less than 200 miles later, it went all bad. Took it back to them. Needed ton of work done, was all jacked up. Quoted us $1500, was told he was pricing it high so there was cushion room, better that way than to go over the quote. Husband asked how much for new engine, over $2000. We paid the $1500 since that was best, cheapest option. Well, weeks and weeks go by, still not fixed or started on. We called months later to let them know we would be down the following day. I clearly stated to them, we both were going to be taking the day off from our jobs, driving 3 1/2 hours to get there, the girl told us it was ready. Next day we walk in, guy is still working in it, said he couldn't get brakes to work. WTH? We had the brakes, done by them, few months before we took it in there! So we both took day off our jobs, wasted 7 hours driving, plus gas, just to leave bike still there. 2 weeks later my husband drives back down to pick it up, he's told the balance due is $900+. He was so pissed he just walked out. Now few months later, they are kind enough to knock it down to bit over $700. How freaking kind. I'm pretty sure this was caused by something done the first time they worked on it. Having spent $500 for work they did fixing oil leak, rocker box, if there was an issue bad enough to break pistons, ruin the engine 2 weeks later, they should've seen it I would think. So, to us, it really looks like the major issue was likely caused by them 2 weeks earlier. This entire situation has been a total nightmare and extreme B.S.. I wouldn't recommend going into that place. issue after issue, excuses, lies, inconvenience, waste of time & $. My husband told me to keep my mouth shut as we pulled in today. I walked in, after 30 seconds I had to walk out before I exploded. If it has any more issues, i'd be better off watching a YouTube video and trying to fix it myself, probably would have less screw ups, definitely less hassle n less $. ( I'd give zero stars,but it won't let me) I forgot to give an update on this nightmare back then. After we paid more, drove bike back to Carson City from Lodi, less than 3 days later bam! We decided to take it for a ride up to Virginia City, about 13 miles from our house. We get there, park the bike, as we're taking our helmets off my husband notices OIL DRIPPING, A lot of oil. I see on my leg there's oil splatters too. WTF? AFTER ALL THAT MONEY WE HAD TO PAY THEM FOR ISSUES I'M SURE THEY CAUSED, IT'S STILL GOT AN OIL LEAK??? I didn't bother calling them, we refuse to let them near the bike ever again. We probably wouldn't have had to pay them to fix this issue ( actually, they probably would've charged us), but we don't trust them or their work. We took it elsewhere, guess what, 3 years later, NO ISSUES! I a few people that go there and have no issues & say they are great. I think it's a huge gamble, a risk I wouldn't want to take, it could be a very costly risk. read more

I've known Danny for about 6 years ago since I started to ride. I would stop at his shop just to ask questions about problems I had with the bike. Occasionally, he would do very minor repairs for me and did not charge me anything. With me being deaf, I appreciate his patience to communicate with me by writing. He would take the time to explain what the problem is or whatsoever. Danny tells me to come to see him for repairs but I always end up going to Harley Davidson for service. Two months ago, the bike sprung a leak from the oil pan. Harley Davidson told me I had to get a new oil line (the whole thing from the pan to the bottom). That it would cost around $400. They didn't have the part so they had to order it. Then, they called and told me I had to pay $25 to have it shipped from Los Angeles. I was like, what the fuck? I pay for shipping??? Fuck it!!! Told them to put my bike back together, went straight to Double D Customs. Danny immediately stopped doing whatever he was doing and gave me his full attention. That I appreciate very much... Know what the problem was? It was only a broken "o" ring that was causing the leak. Problem solved! And, best of all, the whole thing cost me only $30. Danny could have ripped me off by telling me I had more problems than I did like Harley Davidson does. Most of all, I appreciate his honesty! You don't get too much of that now days! read more

So let me start by saying this I have read all the reviews and I'm a bit puzzled....Danny ,Danielle, and mike bend over backwards to help me with parts for my shop....Danny has given me his cell phone number and said don't hesitate to use it....Danielle the counter girl helps me all the time and has a pretty good knowledge of what's what....good job girl!....Mike is one of the mechanics there, and as well he helps me to know end....even going as far to look for used parts if I'm pressed for time...basically what ever it takes...these guys are really good to me and my shop and even my employees....so to hear some of the negative things in these reviews is baffling. ...motorcycle shops are all about safety. If danny and mike think u need to replace a worn out part that could endanger your safety ,you shld thank them..my customers do....so to the team at double D my shop and I would like to thank u for treating us like we matter.....and bending over backwards to solve our problems . My husband and I bought a brand new Harley last week from Eagle's Nest. When the seat, sissy bar, footpegs, etc came in today we picked them up and were excited to go on our first ride together. As we started to assemble everything it became evident they gave us the wrong back rest. We drove all the way out there and got the correct one. Then we got home and discovered the mounting bolts were the wrong size. At this point (4PM) we were flustered and wanted to just get it all installed by a professional. Eagle's Nest and several other places said it would take several hours so it couldn't be picked up till tomorrow. We called Double D and Danny said to come on over to the shop and they would get it going for us today. When we arrived all of the guys there were very nice and friendly. They had the bolts we needed and got everything finished in an hour. I was very impressed! They also charged half of what other places quoted us so I can honestly say it was a 5 star experience!
