It's really roomy and they offer some really nice options. One great thing is you are able to purchase Green Chile once you come through TSA. That is so awesome because I love the green chile. Literally every time I come through here I purchase some. The Southwest side of the airport is coming along. They are really making things easily accessible Overall the experience is great. And I am looking forward to everything once the improvements are done.

My home airport in Greensboro is the little airport that could, where it's possible to arrive 30 minutes before your flight, get through security, and to your gate before they shut you out pretty much any day... but I gotta be honest, ABQ's "Sunport" probably has it beat. All the prior things being true, at least as far as I can tell, you can get to the airport without much worry of a long security line or wait at any juncture. I was easily through in under 10 minutes. After passing through security, you'll find yourself in a food court with about five options to get something in your before your trip. Also in this area is a plethora of comfy seating to lounge or even nap in, clean restrooms, table space with plenty of charging points, and nice wide walkways headed wherever you are. Probably the most impressive thing, is just how comfortable all the seating is. Even the chairs outside the gate are wide and comfortable. This airport wins on comfort above any other one that I have ever visited.

Second time this happened to me at this rinkydink TSA operation. First they nailed an elderly lady in front of me in a wheelchair, made her take off her plastic boot cast. Wow. Then the guy in front of me got bounced from metal detector about his sneakers, had him go through the scanner. Then I get nailed "randomly" and need to get scanned. Scanner rejected me for a Velcro tactical belt specially made for airport travel. Get the pat down, frisked. While all this is going on my backpack gets rejected. Deodorant 0.2 ounces over the limit. These people specifically look for this stuff - deodorant and toothpaste - they get so excited it's a real trip for them at ABQ. In Kansas City I saw one TSA lady jumping up and down finding a tiny nail file in someone's nail clippers - she's yelling "...told you, told you, I knew it!" Instead of focusing on real security breaches like loaded firearms and knives or daggers, the TSA focuses on nonsense. If you don't believe me go online and look at all the loaded firearms that get through on random testing. Focusing on the wrong things folks. Have a nice day !!!

Such a cheerful flight attendant that took care of us on the 2 hour flight. We joked that Southwest should add New Year's Day to the free drink schedule. She said she would take it up with management. We like to travel on holidays as the flights are not packed. And the upgrades to the 737-800 MAX are nice. Future reviews may not be as kind because I really enjoyed the open seating policy they have maintained for decades.

If you are seated in the front you should be called dead last? If you are somewhere in the middle you are allowed to board first in early groups? I just don't get it. The delays after delays force you to shop, walk, eat at the most expensive and the least tasteful and nutritionally depleted fast food. I thank you for delivering me in one piece but next time do try to SHUT UP about packed flights, keep your carryons under your seats and buckle up the belt and put on your vests. If you are landing on water, most likely you will not have the need for the damn Orange vests with beacon. You will probably be dead. And I feel like the dead sardine when I get bombarded with the loud speaker audible that are same gibberish and too old and not funny delays and poorest unprofessional people trying to make your long domestic journey in this modern way of traveling in declining empire once looked up as the most amazing nation on earth with TWA, Braniff, etc. I am doomed.

You can get to the deck via stairs or an elevator. The deck has a neat lounge area with tables and chairs, sofas, loungers and workstations with power outlets and seating along a huge bay window that overlooks the runway. Another feature up on teh deck that you may miss is that there is a flight status board up there to help you keep track of your flight. I really like this spot and I have been to and through many airports and have not seen anything like this spot. If you are going through ABQ and have some time to kill, this is a nice spot to consider passing some time at. It is very chill, comfortable and picturesque. It is definitely worth a peak.

It has plenty of seating and comfy couches where we can kick back before heading to our gate. There is also a desk/charging station to use and plug smart phones and laptops. Plenty of round tables, coffee tables and some wall plugs. I see some flight crew personnel hanging out here, passengers having breakfast/lunch. It is clean and nicely decorated with plants/planters. There are chairs and round tables right by the huge windows where incoming planes can be seen taxiing and watch planes get ready for takeoff. There are no restrooms in this area but there is an elevator and flight schedule monitors to check your flight status. This beats waiting at the gate for our boarding time. Wished we had something like this in SMF. Review #0533
