We stay at Enchanted Trails several times a year, usually enroute home as we live only 120 miles away. It is a restful stop after a long drive from elsewhere and we're glad to have it available for us. The bathrooms are clean, the hook-ups are good, and the sites are reasonably level. Its a cool place to stop, get your Passport stamped and see an RV park maintaining its traditional Route 66 look. This RV park is nothing fancy, but they provide full hookups and the price was right. The WiFi is spotty but we were able to watch some local channels. If u need to rely on WiFi for work, this is not the place for you. Staff were friendly and the park was clean. We did not use laundry or restroom facilities. Loved that they were close to the freeway. read more

During our Route 66 roadtrip, we stopped here to get our Route 66 Passport stamp. The gift shop was great and we also got to tour 5 vintage RV's from the 50's and 60's. It was so fun to see the RV's decorated as they were back then. We really enjoyed this stop along the way! read more

Enchanted Trails has some of the nicest staff you'll ever meet- I mean, wow. Everyone I spoke with was above and beyond nice. The bathrooms and showers were exceptionally clean too, which is huge. The park itself is basically a parking lot (we're new to RV-ing, so maybe this is normal ?!?). Their pool was closed for renovations a few they don't have any play equipment so our son was pretty much hot and bored during our stay. However, they were working on getting the pool going again, and if you don't have kids and your RV has quality AC this would be a good place to stay. This is a good spot to stop for an overnight when traveling to CO and The Black Hills. Friendly service and easy late arrival procedures. I stayed at this campground for four nights, is the only campground in Albuquerque I feel very safe at. It's also very easy to get to because it's right off I 40. You can hear the noise a little bit but it doesn't bother me. This is the coziest campground, and the vintage RVs are amazing. This is in fact not just a campground it's a whole experience it's like walking into 1950. I had to laugh at the groundskeeper cruising around on his golf cart! Hard-working guy! But it shows the grass up by the building is green and so plush and beautiful. If you want a cozy camp ground feeling outside of Albuquerque where you feel very safe and comfortable this is where you wanna stay! read more

We stopped in on our way out of town from the Balloon Fiesta to dump our holding tanks. It only cost $8.52 to dump. While cruising through the park, to the dump station, we found that the park was very well kept up. Clean and definitely a place that we would stay. Most of the spaces are pull throughs, so that makes life easier with a large rig. Restroom and showers looked very clean as well. They have swimming pool. Don't see many RV parks with a pool While everything was emptying we looked under the rig and found that we had a brake line chaffed and leaking. Went back in the office, and explained our situation and asked if we would be able to park the RV so that we could go back into town and get a brake line. They were very accommodating and said to park where they could keep an eye from the office on our rig. This office staff were super nice!!! While trying to get the problem, figured out initially two separate people that were staying in the park offered to help in anyway they could. One gentleman even offered us a ride back into town. It seems like this park attracts very neighborly people. When we come back through Albuquerque we will definitely call for a reservation!! read more

This place is super cute and easy to find. The spots are close but not horrible. Dog area is small but works for the purpose. Staff were nice. My only real gripe is that the WIFI absolutely did not work which was particularly why I chose this place so I could work remotely. I had to use my phone which helped until the office opened to ask about the problem. However, when I called, I was told they would call to reset it but it still did not work. I could see their WiFi signals (had different names depending on which side you were staying ) but the password never worked for any of them. Oh well... read more

This is a great place probably 10 miles west of Albuquerque. Seems to be very popular also so reservations are tough to get. The people who run this are super nice and helpful. This is basically a parking spot, it doesn't have fire rings and many spots share a picnic table between them, guess first one there gets the table! Lol. Some sites are very uneven which causes you to really stretch your jacks to their limits but many are fairly flat. Many spots barely have room for you to put out chairs. Still it is nice, clean and very conveniently located to visit Albuquerque. Have a several old trailers on site which are cool (which I believe you can rent a stay in) and lots of antique memorabilia all around the main building. Will be back read more

This park had a fun feel with the retro trailers for rent and the decor around the main building. We stayed a week so we were designated to park toward the back of the park. There were more long-term residents in that back area, but we didn't really have any immediate neighbors. We didn't have any trees near our spot so it was very sun exposed. The site was not very level and we had to move our RV around to get our auto levelers to work. The entire park is gravel surface. The temps were in the 90s while we were there, but the pool was closed the entire time. We checked in on Tuesday and they said the pool inspector would be coming on Friday. However, we checked out the next Tuesday and the pool never did open. It would have been great to have that amenity to use on the hot days. I forgot to mention that they sell propane on site near the front gate, and there is a Camping World located right next door to the park so if you need anything, you can walk through a shared gate to check them out. read more

We stayed here one night on our way home in mid-November. We called that morning and got a site for later in the day, no problem. Low 30's at night, 60's during the day. It is conveniently located right next to I-40, so it is loud - which was expected. Clean and tidy place with cute vintage trailers and cars that were fun to look at, as well as other vintage touches throughout. The wifi sucked, but we are finding that that is pretty normal for RV parks. Friendly and helpful staff. Very level sites. Full hookups. Loved the solar lights posted by each hookup area. We arrived at night, b/c we got caught in a traffic jam due to road construction, so the light was helpful as we hooked everything up in the dark. Dusty and dry - which is to be expected b/c it's the desert. They had trees for shade, but not a lot - which is to be expected b/c it's the desert. They provide showers, bathrooms, and laundry for guests, although we couldn't get the door code to work for us to get into the showers. We tried the wrong door? Not sure, so we showered in our RV, b/c we just needed to get going. Would stay here again as a quick one-nighter right next to the highway. read more

It was a beautiful establishment. I loved our over all stay and appreciate the professionalism from the start. This is a cute and small RV lot. They greet you warmly and hvas a cute gift shop. The park's theme is memorabilia of the old types of rv back in the 30's or about that time. They have 5 trailers that you can enter and walk back in time. They have a great laundry room area that allows you to play some pool while you wait. A small, but nice size swimming pool. It is all gravel, which is not a problem for us. it's about a 30 minute drive into Alburqurque, but itq's one of the easiest drive. I highly recommend this rv Park. read more

(We were tucked between a utility trailer with someone living in it and a monthly with a recliner next to his picnic table). This place has been a wonderful surprise. Inexpensive, clean bathrooms and showers, outdoor pool and spa, park wide open and easy to maneuver even the biggest rig and the people were top shelf. I used the laundry room and again clean, no broken machines and everything in its place. The 1950's and 1960's antiques spread round the park give it a nostalgic flavor being situated on old historic Route 66. If you travel in an RV of any type, THIS is a place not to miss. read more

What a great little place off the beat and path. Had a vehicle issue so called in and they fit me into a space even though they were pretty well booked. Being right off the freeway and not able to do research on the place, I was very pleasantly surprised at how cute and clean the park is. The lady who checked me in was super friendly and very accommodating since I didn't know how long I would be staying. The park is kinda tight but clean. All gravel and an area for your pups to go with poop bags available. WiFi kinda spotty but so what, that's what hotspots are for. I couldn't have been more wrong about this location. I thought I was only quickly stopping in for a rte 66 passport stamp, but ended up spending almost an hour there. The staff at this location is so friendly and it is fun to see the classic cars and trailers in the back. They also have the most reasonably priced souvenirs I found across all of rte 66 read more

This is a quaint, quiet little RV park with amenities. Not as many as others in the area but, some. Enchanted Hills is located just of the interstate and within a stones throw next to some convenient and desirable locations. Route 66 Casino, Camping World and a Loves Truck stop are just down the road. There's a pool, a laundry, showers and a reasonably priced gift shop. Their nightly rates are also cheaper than most parks in Albuquerque. On Summer holiday occasions, they'll have a fantastic BBQ food truck you'll definitely want to hit up. They'll also show movies in their park intermittantly. The staff is friendly and helpful as well. All in all, IMHO, it's a safe, clean park and worth the money paid. read more

We have never come to stay in New Mexico, but we use this campsite as our stopping point from San Diego. The owners/staff are friendly and easy going. This camp doesn't have intense rules and you can arrive at anytime of night or morning and check yourself in. It is very easy to navigate. During the summer months they have a nice pool area and I LOVE the vintage decor, inside/outside of this park. You will see some of the most beautiful vintage trailers on site, they look like they just came off the assembly line. Inside they have great laundry facilities, a rec room (with even a organ) and tons of puzzles and games for everyone to enjoy. The office/store has a nice selection of gifts to take home to all the people you didn't bring on this trip. Stop in to the office and say hi to Winston, he is the official greeter and a real sweet Scotty. read more

This cool little place has it all except for gorgeous views and trees. Not much different from most southwestern area campgrounds. Too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter to grow anything but cactus! But they do have plenty of wide pull-thru spaces, full hookups, propane, decent prices, a swimming pool, beautiful gift shop, friendly people and a geocache onsite which is what brought us here in the first place. The centerpiece to this little campground is a group of vintage campers and automobiles circled around a picnic bench as if four families were out in the desert camping in the 50's. On our way across country, we try to stay at different RV Parks. This time, we only needed to dump and shower. We called Enchanted Trails because it was 10 miles from our location on the highway. Even though it is a weekend leading to a holiday and the park was full the night before we were told to come on in and they would make room. The first thing I noticed were the antique cars and the swimming pool. They have Wi-Fi and are in close proximity to a Camping World! The grounds were clean and quiet. The office staff was very nice and provided us a great space for our 29 Footer for a couple of hours. We would like to say thank you for your kindness and the courtesy you showed to our family. We will have to visit again but next time...to stay. Thanks again! PS - For the pet lovers...please be aware that the sand and rocks are hot on your four-legged friends paws. read more
