If I could give 0 stars, I absolutely would. My experience with Daniel, the owner of Double Up Bartending, was a complete nightmare from start to finish. From the very beginning, I explained the uniqueness of our venue and how we wanted the cocktail hour and reception bars set up. Daniel was fully aware of our plans, and I even showed him videos before his visit. Initially, he provided a quote based on our guest count and assured us that additional barbacks weren't necessary. After I paid the deposit and he visited the venue, one he had worked at before, he suddenly upcharged us more than double the original quote. There was no explanation for the change in hourly rates or additional charges, other than him claiming it would be "a lot of work" and that he wouldn't be able to take on any other events that day because he'd need to be at our wedding all day. To make matters worse, while the quote included juices and syrups, Daniel insisted I purchase my own ginger beer for Moscow Mules because it was considered a "premium soda", something never mentioned in the original description. He also refused to make lychee drinks because he couldn't get his usual syrup from Costco. He even stated that his bartenders couldn't serve sodas to our guests because that would be additional work and told us to hire other people to handle it. He was completely unwilling to accommodate even the simplest requests, and instead, became the biggest stressor of my wedding planning. On the day of the event, Daniel was nowhere to be found until the last hour, when he showed up just to collect the final payment. Worse, he pulled his bartenders when he arrived and told us that he could not put the bottles back in storage, leaving them at the bar instead of helping with clean-up. As the bride during my reception, I had to move the bottles myself. Worst of all, he was disrespectful to me, my husband, and our guests, making inappropriate comments and even trying to "meet them at the basketball court" instead of doing his job. When we told him about his behavior, he didn't acknowledge it and continued to act inappropriately. His unprofessionalism and lack of respect for our event were heartbreaking, especially on one of the most important days of our lives. I would never recommend Double Up Bartending to anyone. If you're looking for reliability, professionalism, and respect for your special occasion, look elsewhere. read more
