Someone bodily fluid on my neatly folded bed....thanks double tree for the treatment.
Liem N.

As A Hilton Honors members I find this hotel lacks the customer service. It's very disappointing knowing that a brand this big treats their hotel guest poorly. The situation occurred around 7am after a very long shift working I had checked into the hotel room trying to go to bed but instead of crashing my face into the pillows I had to call the manger on duty to come up and see why is there blood stains on my bed. Luckily it had two but the thought of someone's bodily fluid is on there is disgusting. The worst part is that the beds sheets were nicely folded and had the comforter covering up the blood stains.

I was rather concerned about what our experience at this hotel would be as the recent reviews have not been very favorable. Fortunately, I am glad to report that our stay was exceptional! We came in on a Tuesday afternoon and our room was ready for us. The hotel is located in "downtown" Evansville - a very small city compared to what I'm used to. However, the lack of traffic and people made it nice (and safe during the pandemic). The staff all wore masks and were generally very nice and respectful - the breakfast staff very friendly. We got a cart and were quickly moved into our room. Parking was included in the group's package and the garage was conveniently located adjacent to the hotel. The room was very nice - double beds, fridge, Directv, and enough outlets and free space to meet our needs. We were told upfront that the hotel would not provide any room service cleaning during our 5 day stay. However, we could get fresh towels or other needs at the front desk. Putting your trash can in the hallway would get it emptied during the day. The only issue we had was running out of TP - and then having to wait at the front desk for them to find extra rolls for us. I would have preferred they bring it to the room and/or set it inside the room. Breakfast was included with the team's package - a served buffet of potatoes, meats, eggs and fresh fruit - the same thing every day. By the last day my hubby would eat another round - so we went to Donut Bank - which I highly recommend. They did have coffee and cut up fruit - but I would have liked more whole fruit options. Also flavored creamer??? But overall, nice to something at all. The only suggestion during the pandemic - have the carts out somewhere so we can get more shampoo/conditioner, towels, coffee, etc for the room. I barely saw a cart the whole time I was there. WHen I did, I got more coffee to make in the room. Check out was easy although we couldn't get a cart. Fortunately, we could pull the car up to the door and manage to carry everything down in 1 load. Highly recommend you stay here. It was also within walking distance of many restaurants and a short drive from other. A very good location.

Are there refrigerators in the rooms?

Are there microwaves in the hotel rooms?

No but I was told they could bring one to your room for you to use.

The location of the hotel is also nice - just a couple blocks from great downtown restaurants and the riverfront.

DO NOT STAY HERE! LONG READ BUT ALL FACTS…read more Hi All, Diamond level frequent traveler with IHG. The room was average, city view is looking at the side of a brick building on level 4. Room cleanliness was mediocre, shower and shower curtain had filthy hand prints on and no Kleenex in the room. Those items I could get over. On the night of November 18 2025 I had just showered and laying on the bed around 7pm and all of a sudden someone walks in, they had checked them into my room. I yelled at them to get out(sorry to whoever that was). I had a long day so I got up locked the door and went to bed thinking I will talk to the front desk in the morning. Around 1:45 am on November 19 I woke up in absolute panic to my door slamming against the door stop. I yelled to get the F@$k out of my room. There was no verbal communication from them, them being the night shift desk person. Wide awake after I calmed down I called down to the front desk and they justified this by saying they need to find out who was in my room. The lady was extremely rude like I did something wrong. Fast forward to morning. I went to the front desk to figure out what was going on and was getting lies and excuses. First I was told that I had requested a room change and I didn't move rooms. That didn't happen. Then they said they tried to call my room all night, I was in the room all night and the phone didn't ring. Then I was told they knocked on my door multiple times...I'm a light sleeper, that didn't happen either. I asked for a manager but was told they are not in yet. I had asked to be contacted as soon as possible and didn't hear anything. I came back at lunch to confront the manager and was told they don't actually have a manager because they were fired, but the regional manager was here but at lunch. When I finally received a call from the regional manager he was not sincere or kind, couldn't tell me what had happened to cause the events that I experienced. He offered 20000 points which doesn't even cover one nights stay at this dump. I declined. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! I'm a 43 ye old fat dude, nobody wants to mess with me. But can you imagine how a single mom with kids or a solo woman traveling would have felt. They do not care about your privacy.

Staying with my mom over the 4th as we visit family. Got the double bed "Riverview" suite which was…read morethe top price point. I thought the suite might offer more privacy and we might watch fireworks on the river if they happen to have any. The room looks directly out at the parking lot. I told the girl at the desk, I think we got the wrong room. She said oh, you're in a double bed suite? I said yes. She said it you look out the window to the right you can see the river. I told her I felt that wasn't exactly what was advertised. She said well all the "riverview" double bed suites are like that. Aside from the the view, privacy is also an issue. It's an open floorplan and the bathroom door is frosted and has no lock. Are you kidding? The facility itself was nice enough. Feel they did a bait and switch. Wildly disappointed after having a long string of bad stays at IHG properties on this trip.

I made my reservation online and check-in was easy and thorough! Staff were very friendly. Overall the hotel was clean and appears to have been recently updated. Free breakfast available in the morning and they have a nice sized pantry if you've forgotten anything, need a snack, etc. The room itself was spacious and had everything we needed. Bed was comfortable. A/C kept up. There was some obvious wear and tear in certain spots in our room. One being that a wall plate was completely missing from the outlet under our desk. I noticed this because I went to use the outlet. Would be a safety issue if curious little kids found it. The hotel looked to be sold-out the second night of our visit, but we didn't hear anything from our neighbors. Our room was very quiet. We could see the airport from our window. Massive, free parking lot. We will definitely stay here again next time we visit Evansville.

However, we were disappointed with how the food service was handled. We received many compliments from our guests about how good the food tasted, but we also received several complaints that it was put away far too quickly. Multiple guests told us they never even got a chance to eat because the buffet was closed before everyone had been served. One of my husband's friends went to get food and was told, "No, man, we're getting ready to put this up," while employees were serving themselves from the buffet. We were never told that we would essentially be paying for staff meals from the food we purchased. As the bride and groom, we were told we would be able to get to-go plates since we would be busy greeting and mingling with our guests. Unfortunately, that never happened, and neither my husband nor I got to eat our own reception meal. Another disappointment involved our wedding cake. As soon as we cut the cake and fed each other the first bite, it was immediately taken to the back to be cut and served. We were never offered a slice of our own cake. We were told the top tier would be placed in the walk-in cooler for us to pick up the next day. When we returned, we had issues retrieving it. Security was rude, and one employee even used inappropriate language toward us. We were told we could go into the walk-in freezer and get it ourselves, despite signs clearly stating that employees only were allowed beyond that point. Eventually, someone did retrieve it for us, but the entire situation was unnecessary and frustrating. Overall, our reception was beautiful, and we're grateful for the memories we made. However, the issues with the food service, the lack of communication, and the way we were treated afterward left us very disappointed. This may not be everyone's experience, but I wanted to share ours so future couples know to communicate expectations clearly and ensure they're able to enjoy the meal and cake they paid for on their special day.

Bally's Evansville was absolutely terrible. Upon arrival, the walk from the garage to the hotel…read morecheck-in was long. Being a people with disabilities, after having had a long day, with bags in hand, it was rough. When we got to the check-in counter, the woman changed the room we were in. We paid the extra fees to be in a room that had either a view of the city or the river view. We ended up with a room that had the maintenance road & rooftop machinery right outside our window. The shower door wouldn't open and we had to use the shower gel to lube the bottom of the door to open and close it. The water knobs were crusted to the point that they wouldn't turn. We had to fight with them for several minutes before finally working. The shower leaked badly and when I finally tried to get out, I had to relube the floor to open the door again. I was told upon check-in that we would receive $50 free play and upon reaching the game floor and asking, I was told that it was a promotion for members who stayed and we would have had to be members prior to booking. The absolute most ridiculous thing we experienced was the location of the hotel check-in counter. After the long walk from the garage to the check-in counter, we were informed that the actual hotel was on the opposite side of the property! So basically, we would have to go back the way we came, walk all the way through the casino and then we'd find the hotel entrance. The other option was to go back to the garage and drive to the hotel entrance. But when you looked at the parking on that side of the building, it was creepy and there wasn't parking near the entrance. We weren't prepared to put our new vehicle in a lot that was dark and basically open. So we had to lug our bags clear across the whole property. The hotel area actually had an unused check-in area. It was actually really nice. The reason we were given that they didn't use it... COVID. Ya. It's 2026 and Bally's is still using COVID as an excuse for customer discomfort and their convenience. So they get money savings and convenience at the expense of people who thought that they would experience what Bally's advertises. I would NEVER recommend Bally's and we will never stay at another. It was shameful.
