If I could give 10 stars I would! This was for a very short experience but impactful to my mom and I. We were in Lafayette meeting family for birthday celebrations. On the way to the restaurant we spotted DoubleTree. So on the way home my mom asked to make a stop there to get their famous cookies! She called ahead and spoke to Adam. He was very kind on the phone and said absolutely we can stop in just for cookies. In person he gave us extra cookies and we left very happy and giddy! Lol This used to be something my Mom did with my Dad. Stop into a Doubletree for special occasions and pick up a couple cookies. My Dad is not well enough to travel any more, so it was so nice for my mom to still experience their tradition. Thanks Adam! You may have thought it was no big deal, but made a big difference for my mom. read more

I was in town for a graduation at Purdue University and selected this hotel for the close proximity to Highway 65 and the University was about 6 miles away. Located in area with stores and eateries. Longhorn & Panera is right next door and of course the warm Cookies!! Hotel staff were friendly, the room was comfortable and clean however the water pressure and temperature is just horrible. Barely and water pressure and warm water at best. Stayed in 601 with views of the highway. Around the corner from 601 is an elevator which I'm not sure guest were aware of as it seems we were the only ones to use it. Breakfast is available for a fee but there is an IHOP and Denny's within walking distance. No extra towels and bedding in the room but the staff was accommodating when asked for extra. While I would stay here again the water issues could deter me to a different hotel in the area. read more

We came here during the Purdue University move-in week to move my son into his college dorm. When I tried to book a hotel in West Lafayette area, most hotels were sold out or only had $600/night rooms, so I looked into Lafayette, a town right next to West Lafayette. Even in Lafayette, most hotels were sold out or charging a ridiculous price, I was lucky to find this Double Tree that was charging reasonably. I used online check in and received my digital key via the Hilton App. While it allowed me to share the key with others, it's required to join Hilton membership to activate the key, so we still ended up to get the keys from the front desk for my husband and my son. There was a big balloon celebration sign with Purdue color in the lobby to welcome Purdue families and students. We really liked it. Many other families also took photos there with students. We got a two queen beds room, which was quite spacious. It was very clean. I also noticed that they had a plug-in type of scent diffuser in the room, which made the room smell so pleasantly. The bathroom was also very clean and nice. I liked that there were shelves for us to put our own belongings in the bathroom. The mirror was a lighted mirror that came with a magnifying mirror that really helped with my makeup needs. The staff was very friendly and helpful. When my son realized that he had to print out a move in pass to move in, he asked the front desk for help. The front desk was able to help him print out a pass right away. The gym was a bit small, but very tidy and well equipped. The breakfast was also very nice. It was about only $13 each person for the breakfast buffet. For the location, it was not far from Purdue, about 15 minutes drive. There were also many shopping places around the area. We were able to shop for the dorm when we were there. We had a good time here. We would love choose this hotel to stay again. read more

I stayed at this DoubleTree by Hilton (Lafayette, Indiana) in June of 2024. Upon approaching this hotel, I was pleased to see how well kept the premises was and how inviting the entrance was. My check-in was smooth. The young lady checking me in was professional, but I thought it was strange that she did not want to make eye contact with me during my check-in. The young man standing next to her was more pleasant, and he made sure I got some free cookies before I completed my check-in. The furniture and decorations at this hotel are incredibly classy, warm and pleasing to the eye. I had two queen-sized beds in my room, along with all the typical items one would expect to find in any hotel. The one exception was that my room, and I suspect all rooms here, did not have a microwave. I almost always use the microwave whenever I stay at all my hotels, so I found this strange not to have one. My room was incredibly clean, and it was quiet during my stay. My bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was clean and enjoyable as well. I had a nice stay here; However, I do wish this hotel had free coffee available in the lobby like they do at some other Hilton brands. Overall, my stay here was enjoyable. My check-out was smooth and easy with a young lady who was professional and pleasant. More than anything, I was happy to stay here completely for free because I have a ton of Hilton Honors membership points to use up from all my business trips. I'd be happy to stay here once again the next time I'm in the area. read more

I know to travel with earplugs now, because room air conditioners are much too loud for me to be able to sleep and there was lots of road noise from the freeway. This was a nice hotel, newer with a nice entry with a blazing fireplace. The room was comfortable and the bathroom was adequate with a nice walk in shower. Breakfast was available for purchase. I can't eat $20 worth of breakfast, but there was coffee available in the room and a warm, welcoming chocolate chip cookie was delightful! Beware of the Keurig, it made one cup of coffee, and then completely died. I had to go down stairs for a cup of tea. read more

The room was very clean and had small details that were noticeable. Neighbors were a little loud at first... Location is ideal, the other clientele are pleasant and the atmosphere is peaceful. Enjoy the stay at the nice hotel and with great hospitality and furnishing in the rooms. Be ready to pay for the quality that you get. It's a bit further away from our intended visit for our daughter although it's worth while. We have become a regular visit through our corporate card. I had a wonderful stay at DoubleTree from Sep 21 to 24. The staff was absolutely wonderful and extremely helpful. The evening bartenders (I forget the two women's names) were so much fun. Also, the hotel gives you a nice warm cookie (an oatmeal raisin in my case) upon check-in. The hotel was really clean, and I did not have any negative issues with my room. If I ever return Lafayette, I definitely will stay here. The hotel is about a 20-min Uber ride to Purdue University's main campus. If you have an early morning appointment or event at Purdue, you may want to schedule your Uber the night before or give yourself an extra 45 minutes. Although the hotel has its own restaurant, you have plenty of dining options (a couple of steakhouses, fast food places, IHoP, Denny's, etc.) within walking distance of the hotel. One small thing. If you have an option to select your room's floor, I would go for a room that is on the first or second floor. I say this because the hotel has only one elevator and it moves pretty slowly. read more

I still want to love this hotel. It's clean and comfortable. I have stayed four times now for my duaghter who is in graduate school at Purdue. I live in queens NY and these kids working at the desk and at the bar....the dreds and the tats and the piercings. Cool. Awesome. We see you. But don't be an absolute jerkoff. Don't make it obvious that you think everyone is beneath you. You have such an attitude. And dred lock girl put me in a room with sopping lwet rugs my first night. Just... management should take a hard look at this place. It's a really good hotel but they have the inmates running the asylum. House keeping walked into our room multiple times without even knocking at 9am in the morning. We requested a late checkout when booking and we were told rather rudely the morning of checkout it couldn't happen because of a computer issue they were having. The outside part of the restaurant allows smoking at the tables??? I thought there was a law against this in Indiana. I've never had such a bad experience at a Hilton. read more

I stayed here for 3 nights in July following a terrible night's stay in a nearby hotel. I was visiting from Virginia and here for a family emergency. I called the front desk the night before and the worker calmly set me up with everything I needed, including allowing me to drop my things off early so that I could get dressed and traveling to where I needed the next day (she was an absolute blessing). The breakfast situation was super crappy, I'll admit, but they are trying. I also should have asked for a free water at the front desk instead of drinking the overpriced one in my room, but I was thirsty and it was totally worth it. The hotel was clean and welcoming. The pool was closed when I was there due to COVID regulations and cleaning, but I'm not one for swimming anyway. The bed was warm and cozy. The room was cool and not too humid at all, and smelled clean. Very very reasonable prices and I shamelessly walked to Panera to grab dinner. I would come back in a heartbeat. read more

This place provided our family with a very comfortable and clean overnight stay. Our room was great and our kids really enjoyed it. The front desk lady, Ms. Kia, was a joy! Such a sweet lady and she went above and beyond to make us feel home. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because the breakfast was horrible! 14 dollars for tbd breakfast was not worth it. The bacon was hard and rubbery, the sausage was gray and not very appealing. The biscuits and gravy were subpar and the potatoes were hard. I would suggest you save your money for other food. I am a Hilton brand fan. I have been an Hilton Honors member for years and although I don't do much business travel anymore, I still prefer Hilton brands. I stayed at this hotel for 6 nights. It was very nice, clean and the front desk folks were very accommodating. I would have liked to be there when the restaurant was open but due to Covid, all was shut down. I was very surprised that this DoubleTree did not offer a free bottle of water and a breakfast option. I learned that for a water, you need to be a Diamond member now (it used to be for "all members"). There were 2 bottles of water to be had in the room if you wanted to spend $2.25 for each bottle. I went to Walmart behind the property and got a 6-pack for $2.50. As for breakfast, just a banana or coffee past 9am would be nice. Since I was on "vacation," each morning, I had to set my alarm to try to rush downstairs to get a cup of coffee before they carted it away at 9am. For business, I mostly stayed at Hampton Inn or Home2 Suites. Those Hilton properties always have a coffee/hot water station open 24/7 (even during Covid times). I hope the DoubleTree will take this minor offering into consideration in the near future. Although the room was nice and clean, I am not a fan of "sliding barn doors" for the bathroom. I prefer a door that you can swing open and close. The sliding door that I had was so heavy and difficult to open/close with my arthritic hands. Keep this in mind if you suffer from hand/wrist arthritis. If you like a very soft bed and pillows, this room is for you. But if you like or need a firmer mattress (more like a Hampton Inn), then I suggest you take that into consideration if you are staying here more than a few nights. One final notice. Not a biggie but in these Covid times, it caught my attention. At both elevators on the ground floor, there is a hand cleanser wipe dispenser next to the elevator. I liked that since I took a wipe and used it to press the elevator buttons. When I took the "last wipe," I told the front desk. They thanked me. Well, that was Day 3 of my 6-day stay. On Day 4, the other elevator wipe dispenser was empty (I did not take that "last one"). Neither wipe dispenser was ever filled again during the rest of my stay. It's a good thing I bought my own wipes at the nearby Walmart when I had to purchase my own water bottles for the week. All in all, it was a very nice, clean room for a good rate, near the highway, and has very nice people working there. I also felt safe on and around the property so for all those aspects, I would recommend this hotel in Lafayette. read more

There was a time the Hilton name meant luxury. While the room and hotel was clean, our experience started in the middle of a snow storm, the host gave us our keys and told us door 3. No explanation of where door 3 might be, no explanation of where the elevators were. Now the room, it was smallish but clean. The bed was very soft, to soft actually. Lying on the bed looking up the drywall on the ceiling wasn't finished. Next a sliding barn type door for the bathroom. This hotel is one of the best I've stayed in. It's only 2-3 years old. Everything is modern new and that includes the room. Stayed here 3 separate times my room has been on point every time. Somewhat decent beds. Staff is very friendly. Full bar until 11. The cookies are THE BOMB. My only complaint would be the pool and hot tub closes for everyone at 10, which is silly if your a grown adult you should be able to use it anytime. Other than that this place is amazing. Double Tree is a real standard for living quarters when traveling I have to commend the Hilton's for making this an amazing stay! read more

Excellent location right off the interstate with plenty of eating options in the immediate vicinity. Walmart is directly behind it and a very yummy Mexican restaurant just down the road. I really wanted to like this place. Picked this spot based on online reviews and photos. It's a beautiful, clean and modern hotel. We were warmly greeted by staff (Julian) and a cookie. *Here's what went wrong:* * Toilet broken and remained so until check-out * Coffee maker broken * "Hot" tub same temperature of pool in evening and morning * Told front desk staff and was assured that the manager would be briefed and would call me the next morning. Nothing. Nada. Manager had no clue and I had to re-explain story. We arrived in the evening (2 parents, 2 young kids, 1 grandma) and had reserved 2 rooms. We didn't realize the toilet was broken until the early morning (it was broken before we arrived). As soon as we knew it was, we called to have someone fix it. We were told it would be "a few minutes". A few hours had gone by and it was time to check out, no one arrived to fix the toilet. We were lucky enough to have another room (grandma's) to use the bathroom in but it wasn't the most convenient. Grandma's coffeemaker was broken. Hot tub was lukewarm--like bathwater. TV in the workout room had several remotes and 1 channel came in. All these little things started to add up. This is the first hotel we've stayed in since my husband's cancer recovery/bone marrow transplant. We really wanted it to be special for the whole family--but lots of things seemed to not be going right. He is not even allowed in public swimming areas but we were so convinced that this place looked clean--so he entered the hot tub, disappointing. I spoke to the manager and she said that the place was still very new. She was able to refund one room (the front desk staff had mentioned possibly both) and the front desk staff had not informed her of anything. This looked like a gem considering what was around it--for us it wasn't. read more

Stayed here the past week for four days. Brittany and Jackie are all-star receptionists. They were so kind and helpful. April who works the morning shift at the breakfast buffet was so friendly, energetic, and attentive. The hot breakfast buffet was excellent; the area was always clean, the food was hot, and they had turkey sausage. The hotel is new and my room was very comfortable and clean. It was a nice hotel but unfortunately when we were there the elevator was broken and we had to use staircase. Luckily, for us we were on the second floor. Kinda surprised as a Gold member we were not offered bottles of water like all the other Hilton properties we have stayed at over the years. We were told that we had to make an appointment to use the pool, which we did as our grandchildren wanted to swim but found out the next day that was not true. All you had to do was ask at the front desk and they would let you right in. No limit to the number permitted in the pool area during the pandemic. As a family of 7, after they let in a family of 4 and another of 8 making almost 19 people in the pool we felt uncomfortable and left. We were so surprised as every public place in the country we went, we were told there was a limit. Probably the next time we visit our grandchildren this will not be the first hotel we think to book. read more

My favorite hotel in Lafayette IN ... due to work had to come every other week to Lafayette IN for almost whole 2018. Initially tried two other hotels but after staying once in this Double Tree the choice was obvious for the remaining stays.
