Terrible. The front desk worker is confrontational. They threaten my wife and upset my daughter on check in for no reason. She was triggered before check in was even attempted and berated my wife for having an expired credit card on file. The front desk worker stated multiple times "we have you on camera" For what? Checking in...... This is the worse Hilton experience my wife has ever had. The Diamond desk was contacted while she was there, by my wife and was able to book a different hotel. DO NOT STAY HERE. This review is based purely on the booking process. If I wasn't staying here for a wedding, the booking process alone would have been enough send me to any other hotel. I've needed to call the hotel three times. Once to book a reservation. The call took close to 30 minutes, just because I needed to spell my name at a snails pace, over and over, and every detail repeated back to me was incorrect time after time. Once I was fairly confident they had all my information correct, they claimed they needed me to confirm with their manager. This turned out to be them pawning me off on their sales team, to try and sign up for Hilton Honors program. After politely waiting for another 5 minutes, I declined and hung up. A Second time to inquire why I hadn't received my email confirmation, (turns out despite repeating my name and information 15 times, they still butchered it all beyond recognition). I only know this because the Groom of the wedding I was booking for, had a list of names for his group, and mine was nowhere to be found. For a second time, they tried to transfer me to the Hilton Honors sales team, saying I needed to talk to one more person to confirm my reservation. I hung up a bit quicker this time. A Third time to add a night to the reservation. (Lord knows if they even have my CC info correct, here's to hoping they don't) They couldn't locate my reservation again because alas, my name was still spelled incorrectly, and when they asked if I had a confirmation number, I politely explained to them that to have a confirmation number, I'd need a confirmation email first, which still had not arrived. Once again, after a lengthy robotic conversation, I was sent to the Hilton Honors Sales team. *click* Guess I'm just more of Marriott guy now. *shrug* read more

I chose to stay at this hotel because it was listed as pet Friendly and I am traveling with my dog. Upon arrival, I was informed that there is a $75 nonrefundable pet fee that was not listed anywhere on the online booking, nor was I given the option to state whether or not I would be traveling with a pet. This is extremely misleading. On top of that, the hotel is extremely basic in every possible way. I could hear every step that every person on the floor above me took all night. I'm not sure how it got such rave reviews. read more

Wonderful experience. There was limited available the weekend we visited Lafayette due to the start of the school year at Perdue, so we took what we could get. Absolutely loved the hotel. I wish I had a dorm room like this in college. It's more like a furnished efficiency apartment than a hotel room, but with all the amenities of a hotel. Would wholeheartedly recommend this to anyone looking for a place to stay in Lafayette. read more

Fantastic hotel. Stayed here when my family was visiting for graduation and stayed here again when I was recently in the Lafayette area. The rooms are huge, beautiful and clean. Breakfast is always great. There's always tea and coffee in the lobby area. The kitchenette is stocked well with utensils and other items. Haven't had a chance to try out the pool but I hear it's great. The staff is always friendly and helpful too. If you need a place to stay either for a short time or for a long time- this is it. Loved staying here and will be back again if I'm ever in town! read more

First time I stayed at home2suites and it was a great experience. Location convenient to interstate and about 10-15 min from Purdue depending on traffic. The area around hotel has a bunch of restaurants and shopping. My home2suites room was large and had a pull out couch, and sink dishwasher and full size fridge. There was lots of storage with cabinets and small closet for hang up stuff. Beds were comfortable. What I really liked was a curtain that could be pulled between couch and bed area which kept tv light from keeping up those who wanted to sleep. Breakfast was really nice. It was a different concept to me. There was a nice assortment of egg dishes, egg sandwiches that were prepackaged and you warmed up yourself. I had the egg, bacon gouda cheese on panini and it was really good. Also was standard cereal, oatmeal, toast and make yourself waffles. read more

This was a very modern hotel, I think it's been built recently. I liked the decor and ambiance. The room was spacious and the lobby was pretty nice. 2 issues: - Wi-fi in my room was very spotty. If you're wanting coffee in the morning I would stay somewhere else! For two days I went to the lobby 5:30-5:45 no coffee out. This is the only hotel I have ever been to with no coffee. I ask the big guy behind the counter about it he says 6:00 sir. Really? And then at 6:00 it's not out . You have to beg for it and get to watch the expression on his face because he will actually have to get off his ass and get it! This is my second stay at Home2 Suites by Hilton. Overall experience was awesome! I highly recommend staying at a Home2 Suite!! The staff was very nice and rooms were clean. They were accommodating with any requests. Free parking, complimentary breakfast, fitness center, washer and dryer, and a swimming pool. Clean but sparse at best. They claim to do a light clean everyday but that didn't happen. We asked for extra towels, that didn't happen. Walls are thin and it's noisy. Breakfast is also very basic and filled with processed food. This Home2 Suites won't be on my list in the future. read more

Can't say enough about this hotel and the staff!!!! Was a little unsure at first with the strong smell in the room, which I discovered was the cleaning chemicals. Don't worry about that when you check in, if you experience it. It just means they have given your room good TLC! Never managed to have breakfast there, but anyone staying here should definitely engage the desk people, managers, housekeeping staff, the whole 9 yards. Talk to them. These are REAL PEOPLE who will go out of their way to take care of you, they honestly care, which is more than I can say for a lot of places I've stayed. I would argue that, without having stayed next door at Residence Inn for a week, that this hotel is right there with Homewood Suites for best in Lafayette, Indiana. Samantha, Kimberly, Charlene, Amber, everyone I ran into on homekeeping staff, they are real folks. They will have conversations with you and make sure you are happy!!! read more

Worst experience in our life . We were visiting Perdue University and picked the hotel because it allows pets . We confirmed this when making reservations . Upon check in we walked into the from entrance , checked in and went to our room with our pet . We went to supper and upon returning the lady at the next confronted my family angrily and said hey you will be charged extra for the dog . After explaining I will pay what was quoted upon my confirmation the desk person became angry and confrontational. I went to my room and contacted Hilton Honors . They were excellent and even tried to call the hotel to resolve this issue to no avail . I then went down again to request to talk to the manager and was once again talked to very angrily and abusive and threatening . She wasn't going to let me speak to the manager but after additional request she finally called her . During the call the desk person started the convey to her manager stating my family tried to "sneak " in our pet which was untrue . We were then threatened to be thrown out of the hotel if we didn't pay . My family was extremely upset , my kids were crying and we didn't sleep because of the threat of being thrown out . This is horrible and unacceptable . I will never visit the hotel again nor will I advise anyone else to put your family at risk . So much for customer satisfaction . read more

We used to love staying at Home2 Suites .. ever since they first started, we found the rooms to be very comfortable and the breakfast very, very healthy! Unfortunately, their branding has significantly changed! The rooms are now okay, beds still comfortable but breakfast pretty awful! They now serve what they refer to as "The Inspired Table Breakfast" .. not sure who would be inspired by an assortment of pre-packaged egg sandwiches in a bag that you have to microwave yourself. No healthy oatmeal .. instead their "oatmeal warmer" was full of "gravy" for biscuits! If you wanted oatmeal, you could select a paper pouch and microwave it yourself .. yuck! No hard boiled eggs (despite their advertisement on their list for "The Inspired Table Breakfast"). Fresh fruit was limited, bananas overripe. With this type of "Uninspired Breakfast", they should lower their room rates. Until then, we will not be back .. they have lost a customer who still prefers to eat a healthy breakfast in the morning! read more
