The property has a decent size of parking lot with room for larger vehicles or trailers. Renovation was done couple years ago. You can tell that the building is aged because the elevator is slow. But the water pressure is good. The sinks and tub don't have draining issue. Here comes a list of discrepancies: 1. The towels were slightly moist, not sure if they cared. 2. A piece of hair was charismatically stuck in the middle of the bathtub wall. 3. Nonchalantly a clipped toenail was resting on the entryway floor. 4. A half used water bottle was left on the desk. Do they want me to taste somebody's body fluid? Or they are double daring me to drink it? The message was ambiguous to determine. 5. The nightstand accommodation was dated. There was no power outlet or USB ports to be found around the nightstand. It's pretty standard nowadays to have such on the nightstand. read more

There's a special place in my heart for Doubletree due to the times I recall my mom going on trips and bringing back their cookies. That's the sole reason why I booked this spot for my work trip. The good: - The fitness center is excellent - The rooms are semi bright and comfy - Front Concierge pleasant - Bartenders great, especially the lady ... she was a delight - East access to everything locally - The gentleman handling breakfast was pleasant and so was the other lady - Loved the origami towels and wash cloths - Sink outside the bathroom was very useful The bad: - The breakfast is not worth $21. Do NOT add it into your room rate. - They mistakenly billed me for the breakfast that I had already pre-purchased in my room package (I noticed on my second breakfast and it kept happening), cleared it up at checkout - Their billing made it difficult for my expense report - Noise: 6 of the 10 nights there were loud people in the hallways past 10:30PM and loud music thumping in the rooms near me until 12AM. I did not get really good sleep. Honestly, I was going to book here again recently but they were full. I'm unsure if I'd stay at this location again. The pricing of $185/Night was not worth it, even on the companies dime. The cookies were legit and so 3 stars for par. read more

Lovely hotel! Clean, large rooms, easy check in/out process, and delicious warm chocolate chip cookies. Location is good and plenty of parking available. Good working AC in the room. Onsite restaurant and bar available as well as a gym and pool. This is a great option to stay for this area as far as price and facilities. read more

Not sure why this hotel doesn't have better reviews, maybe because they are a bit older date wise and oh yes one person gave them 1 star because of hard cookies... :/ I didn't try the cookies because I don't like sweets - Either way, I had an amazing time at this hotel!!. I came down for a Friend's birthday and went on several websites to compare ratings and for the price this seemed like a great option that was close to the spot we were going to all meet up at. The app was very helpful as far as check in and I used my phone as my key card as well so I was able to do contact free check in and check out. I also checked in the morning of my reservation with one tap and that was very easy as well, no issues! They texted me when my room was ready which was about 1 hour before I was to arrive to my room, I appreciated that as well. One thing I forgot is that they do the $25 additional charge hold for incidentals, so I called customer service, they answered all of my questions and everything was handled and they have already reversed the charge. I got to my room kind of late, around 5pm but was easily able to find parking, free and there were plenty of spots. There was a sign stating to take your valuables with you, which I suppose is standard but it had me a little concerned but this seemed to be in a nicer area for Raleigh, mind you my 1 night stay was about $125 so not bad at all for a Saturday night downtown! The hotel was extremely clean, looked really nice inside and my room was as well, smelled good, everything was clean, TV worked great and I liked the fact they had Netflix, YT, Tubi and a few other channels that you can watch without having to sign into your own personal accounts. The bathroom was well stocked, clean and ready to go. I really cannot complain about not one thing, just I wish they would have had some water in the rooms complementary. For me the elevators and everything worked fine, the staff didn't speak but I prefer that especially if I'm doing no contact check in and check out because I like to just stay to myself. I did go to the mini store they had, super late and they had someone on staff to help me and she was super nice, even though the chips were like $4 for a small bag but that's to be expected! Honestly I will definitely be staying here again if I'm in the area, it was quiet as well too, one other thing however I did not like is there are doors that connect to each other to each room but I'm not sure if that's standard, but both the doors are locked unless you open yours and there is a safety closure addition that made me feel much safer. Overall it was a great experience, the bed was super comfortable and the pillows and chairs, everything you need they have it for you! I didn't need to call for anything which I also appreciated very much! There was one other thing, housekeeping came to my room about 10:50am when I had an 11:00 check out time, knocked on the door but I came to the door and she stated she would come back. I checked out on my app right at 11am and she waited for me to leave to go clean the room, but she was already in the area so I guess she just wanted to make sure. Overall again it was lovely! For the price in Raleigh, you really CAN NOT beat it IMO! read more

I, my husband, and three kids stayed at DoubleTree by Hilton Raleigh Midtown at 2805 Highwoods Blvd. The toilet in my room on third floor didn't flush or fill with water. I reported this immediately to the front desk, but they refused to resolve it or move me to another room. I also asked if other rooms were like this and was told "no". We spent that afternoon and next morning of- pouring water into the top of the toilet to be able to flush it down. One elevator works and some floors didn't have AC, our key card declined us to getting in when we went swimming. read more

Here's the thing about this hotel, the staff is friendly and the hotel is clean to the degree that it should be...it's the other patrons and the location that cause me to raise concerns. There was a man on my floor when I stayed here that decided his best course of action was gagging and coughing in the hallway starting from 7:30 am and not ending until the evening, it was extremely uncomfortable. As for location, this place gets scary at night, there was a man standing at the corner staring at every woman walking in and out of the hotel, a man begged me for a ride right outside. A pretty good option for a centrally located and affordable option. I have stayed here several times during my business visits to Raleigh. Lobby, rooms and facilities are clean and updated. Breakfast is pretty typical and staff is friendly and respectful. So far, so good, Double Tree! I'll see you next time I'm in town. read more

Probably one of the worst stays at a DoubleTree we've ever stayed at. We were suppose to check in at 3PM but the room wasn't ready until 7PM which was an absolute inconvenience. After settling into our room, we find out the TV wasn't working. We called down to the front desk and they were nice enough to move us to another room. However, the second room we had was worse. Stained sofa, bathroom door didn't lock or latch, no shampoo or a body wash, and the remote wasn't working in this room. We called down to the front desk again to ask for another remote. The lady at the front desk said someone would bring up another one for us. This was around 10PM. No one brought up a remote that night. We had to go downstairs the next morning to ask face to face. If we were to visit again, we'll look for another hotel. read more

Pascal was amazing! He took care of all of our concerns and needs while I was there. Abdi took care of my food needs since I have severe allergies. I enjoyed my cookies upon arrival! I would probably give this Double Tree a lower rating, but the staff were just super friendly and helpful whether it as the restaurant or in check in. Parking is also free. Parts of the hotel feel very 1980s and the elevator had some issues. My bed sagged. So it is in need of capital investment, but the atmosphere was welcoming. read more

Rooms were clean and very warm, especially after a night out on the town - it was great to come into a cozy room. Staff was very monotone and didn't speak unless spoken too. Breakfast buffet looked delicious. Warm cookies upon check in were delicious! read more

Freshly remodeled and rebranded from the old Holiday Inn. Reception area is beautiful and welcoming. Plus; how could you go wrong with a fresh and warm cookie when they greet you. I came here while on business and decided to give the new hotel a chance. The staff was super accommodating and welcoming, the room was very clean and the location is very convenient to local highways. I would recommend to anybody that's looking to stay in the Raleigh Durham area. read more

I booked a double queen room after a music concert at Walnut Creek. The hotel was clean, quiet, and perfectly acceptable for accommodations. The annoying issue I found was with service and booking. When we em got our room, keys did not work. Personnel stated that sometimes it just happens, so he let us in the room (6th floor). The room had one bed, and after endless waiting, clerk staring at computer, he finally called a supervisor. They stated they were booked, had no more rooms, yet the parking lot was not nearly full. We did finally get the conveniently vacant adjoins room next to our room with another bed. Usually when something seems shady, it is. Nice hotel though. read more

We have stayed at a lot of Hilton properties but this one is the worst property in which I've stayed. The lobby is remodeled but the rooms are every bit old Holiday Inn. We even found a used magnum wrapper on the floor at the foot of our bed. Not even close to the Hilton standard. Really disappointed. The staff is superb but the rooms are pretty yuck. read more
