The hotel was located in a convenient area next a lot of shopping, staff was extremely helpful (and made great food), and the place was clean. No, it's not a Ritz Carlton, but they also don't charge Ritz rates. I definitely recommend it if you're looking for a hotel in the area. read more

As a frequent business and personal traveler, I have stayed at many Hilton properties. The staff definitely made the difference at this location. When I entered the hotel, the front desk staff immediately greeted me (after being ignored another Hilton Garden Inn location in the past). They were also able to accommodate my request for a different room and checked in, throughout my stay, to make sure that everything was fine. Although previous reviewers (old reviews) may not have had the same experience, great service goes a long way! I look forward to staying there during my next visit to the area. read more

I was welcome as I came in. I was irritated that the digital key on the app didn't let us in the side door by our room. So had to walk around with all my stuff. But the gentleman did welcome with a smile even tho his mask was on I can tell by his cheeks and his eyes squint like my kids when they smile. To get in the room was a struggle. The bathroom door was open and the knobs got caught. I was thinking why wouldn't the maid close the bathroom door so guest can get in easily. Drop everything go to the bathroom and go to wash my hands..... there's a straw with bite marks on the sink. Grossssssss. So how did they miss that?????? I question the cleaning. Getting my own Lysol wipes gonna clean room myself. To tires to complain and we have a workshop in meeting room downstairs at 7. Which is the only reason I paid $150 for the convenience of walking down to the meeting tonight and tomorrow. The maid was in room next to us and came an got the straw and sprayed the sink and ask if that was all but I really wanted her to clean the whole bathroom. Normally Hilton's are clean but this was not cool after long drive. Update: maid service cleaning rooms on our floor never used vacuum. Never heard it been used. Two times pasted by never saw them using one. read more

The HGI, as we affectionately refer to these... Cookie cutter consistency which I like...rooms, beds, food, service are all on par...I suspect this is an older facility but everything seems nice. The only downside is that it is buried back behind a shopping center and Google maps can't figure out how to get you in there efficiently...when you exit off the 540 make your first left which is Old Wake Forest Rd and then another left at the first light...there is a small sign on the right to guide you in... We have a favorable rate and appreciate the comfortable feel. read more

Stayed here this week when the Hampton Inn down the road was overbooked and "walked" me here. It was a pleasant upgrade. As a Hilton Honors elite member I can be pretty picky about my Hiltons. This experience was pretty good. The staff at the desk and in the restaurant where I dined twice were all friendly and accommodating. The room was mostly clean. Cons: Mostly clean means it was dirty behind the night stand. Which I moved because the Clock was mounted so you couldn't move it or see it from the bed. Finally management should train all desk staff on policy of walked HH members. All in all, I'd go back if it was a convenient location. read more

Upscale type hotel above a Hampton but not quite a Hilton. The service is on part with a Hilton and the price is reasonable. The location is odd to get to which is odd. Rooms are quiet and comfortable and only downside is Internet is a bit slow and no complimentary breakfast for those that partake but they do have a chef for breakfast and dinner. read more

Super Nice Hotel from the time we entered the lobby until we checked out. Room 425, a 2 bedroom suite at $129. Spacious and Extremely clean suite. Beautifully decorated with a Keurig Mini Plus Brewing Machine. Microwave and good size mini fridge. There is a ceiling fan in the sitting area. Exceptionally cozy beds. We kept the air conditioner fan on all night and did not hear any noise and slept soundly. Friendly staff and fast check in and out. Check out the photos. read more

Coming off of a redeye with a major cough, and slated to go to a wedding later in the day, I requested an early check-in. A front desk associate named Tyler came through and did me a favor. Thanks to him, I was able to get about three hours of sleep before the ceremony so I was not a hacking, coughing nuisance to the bride and groom. Thank you, Tyler, it was a huge help. All other things about the hotel were nice- convenient location to major highways, cleanliness, breakfast, parking, quietness (even in a room next to the elevator). But service really stood out. I was unfortunate that other hotels were sold out so I had to book a room for my trip to Raleigh at this hotel. As soon as I checked in I was advised that I had booked through hotels.com I wasn't eligible to receive my full points. The fact was that I used American Express travel services to book my hotel but somehow the hotel clerk seemed unhappy that I had not booked directly with Hilton. Although I have a gold status, I was given one of the first floor rooms... You know the ones that they give to walk ins that don't have a reservation. The room was clean and pleasant except that both beds in the room had mattresses that had no support they felt like they had been crushed by a wrecking ball and had a big crater right in the middle. After spending the first miserable sleepless night and waking up with a backache, as I left for work in the morning I asked to be moved to a new room. The mornings clerk told me that the hotel was sold out but they would leave a note so that someone would try to accommodate me and find me a different room. That evening I inquired about moving and was told that it was impossible because the hotel was sold out. No apology are even a slight effort to see if there was a way that they could help. I guess that my punishment for not booking through Hilton.com is to endure another night on a crushed mattress with my back aching. Beware of having too high of expectations that someone at this hotel knows the meaning of hospitality. read more

This hotel is clean, looks new, and I like the way that Patrick S put it in 2011 - it's cookie cutter, and I like it. I like knowing what to expect, and I like the standard that Hilton Garden Inns are held to, it makes for more comfortable travel. We were greeted warmly by the staff, simple and quick check in without any issue. The room was clean and fresh and well stocked with soaps, towels and everything that you would need - including in room Keurig. The only thing that I didn't like about this location was the construction going on out front. I understand that this may not be in the hotel's control, but its a little bit of a bear to find, and your car will get dirty from the dirt and gravel - and you need to book your Uber well in advance, because they won't be able to find it. We booked an Uber set to arrive in 8 mins. 15 mins later, still no Uber, but we could see him driving around the shopping plaza parking lot, just out of reach. So, actually arriving to this hotel is a little frustrating, but once you're there - its great. read more

Desk clerk acknowledged the mistake and said she would get the manager to correct as soon as he got in. This has yet to happen. Been fighting with this hotel for 6mo to correct. Rita is the reason to stay here. Weather behind the bar or serving breakfast, she is the reason to stay at this hilton garden. I would stay here again just for her service, companionship, and fun. The morning breakfast (gentlemen) were not very nice. Seemed to argue rather than serve. I had to get my own coffee and almost write my own ticket for food. I did not like coming down for breakfast because I was unsure what kind of service I would get that morning. The rest if the hotel was standard HGI. We thought staying at this Hilton Garden would be the same as the one at Crabtree. Unfortunately, we were wrong. The hallways smell like the hotel flooded and not cleaned properly. The sink had this dirty plug and it was on the cabinet. The shower did not drain and it looks like we ran bath water. They need to get it together because they are rather new. read more

I wish I could give this place zero stars. We were there for a hockey tournament this past weekend. The customer service was AWFUL. They were the most unaccommodating hotel in existence. Stay far, far away. Too many terrible events to list them all. I'm still waiting on a call from the manager to talk about it. I'm not holding my breath for them to call me. read more

This is my second time staying at a Hilton Garden Inn. I had previously stayed at one in Evansville, Indiana earlier this year and had a different experience. The hotel aspect was average. If I was rating just the hotel they would have received a three. The room was clean and quite, standard Hilton cleanliness with predictably. The bar / restaurant area on the other hand gets a one. My group arrive back to the hotel late after going out to dinner, right around ~9:50ish. We stopped by the bar to get a night cap, but all the drinks we're made incorrectly. I got a vodka tonic, what he made was a vodka and club soda, yuk! I didn't notice till I got back to my room and by the time I did notice the bar was closed. The morning breakfast was very awkward. My group sat down at the table and after fifteen minutes still hadn't been served. Another one of the guest noticed our confusion, leaned over and informed us that we had to go up to the kitchen window to order. So we do, we walk up to the counter and the wait staff person takes our order and then disappeared? I am pretty sure that we were supposed to get table side service, but we never did besides when the bill was brought. We noticed other people had coffee in their coffee cups but we were never offered any. We all walked over to the self serve to go coffee and filled up our cups. Equally difficult was finding a cup for orange juice. There were no cups up at the self serve area, one of used a coffee cup, I came up with the clever idea of using a to go coffee cup. The food did come out quickly, it was brought by someone other then the guy that I believe was supposed to be working as a waiter. I am very confused as to why there was a tip line on the bill, they did not do anything that would have warranted a tip or even the consideration for a tip. The food was editable, everyone had an omelet and no one complained. Being travelers our HHonors benefits entities us to free breakfast. This is the only reason we ate breakfast here. One of the very few hotels I've stayed in where the amenities where far better than the room itself. The shower preasure was comparable to one of those coffee table fountains you see in Chinese restaurants. Although I did appreciate the down pillows the bed itself was almost unusable do to its we'll call it firmness. Perhaps the worst nights sleep I've ever had and thats being polite. The mini fridge also was not working which seemed to be par for the course. Now to be fair this hotel does have some great points as well. The staff from the guys at the front desk all the way to the dude who made my waffle for me when I was to lazy to make it myself are absolute super champions!! In this day and age to find exceptional customer service at this level is like seeing a dinosaur or hearing the Beatles for the first time, you just cant put a word or value to it. The breakfast setup and meal plans have very good value and are made to order which was a nice surprise as well. Overall for $145.00 a night this establishment did not meet my expectations from a rooming standpoint, but the staff completely saved the day for the business as a whole. To put it plainly the next time im in Raleigh ill stay next door and come to this hotel for breakfast. read more

Terrible experience- Stay away! I'm a Hilton Diamond Member and was treated so poorly by management. Our room was only cleaned one time in SEVEN days and only because we complained about it. The staff at the front desk tried to accommodate us and even came to our room one night to pick up garbage but the room was just not getting cleaned. I called the Diamond Desk and they contacted the hotel who later contacted me to offer me less points than what it costs to stay there one day after I was promised all the points I used for my stay. They kept telling me that they clean the room when it's requested only due to Covid, we asked for it to be cleaned EVERY day we were there, but the manager doesn't care. I was SO insulted by his offer. It's clear that he doesn't care and because of it, I'm so ticked off I might just switch to another brand. I can't stay with a company who doesn't value it's loyal customers. read more

I arrived at 6 a.m. Tuesday morning to this hotel as a Hilton Honors member! I wanted to checkout Wednesday morning! When I walked up to the front desk there was no one there. A man walked out of the back office and looked like he was sleeping! I then checked in for one night! He charged me $286.00 after checking the receipt later on that day I saw that he double charged me for everything! I went to the front desk and spoke with Brian the assistant manager! He fixed it and charged me $93.80 for the (1) night! After leaving the hotel the next morning and headed out to Charlotte for thanksgiving the next day, I checked my account only to find out that I was charged again another $143.00 by the General manager John ( who is by the way very rude and unprofessional!) he claims we were still in the room that night, when of course we weren't! So he took it upon himself to charge my card again because he said he went by housekeeping records! We did not stay that night! And he never reached out to me about the charges! This doves that you can't trust these hotels with your credit card! When reaching out to the manager he refused to reverse the charges and hung up on me! We've stayed in this property once a year over the past five years because of the convenience to a meeting we are in. This is the second time a manager has received a minor complaint with a pitiful / hateful attitude. Two major issues: we would leave the room by 10:00am and not return until around 4:00pm only to find our room still not serviced; one of the male workers entered our room twice without knocking - once while I was not dressed. When I mentioned it to the manager, she quickly informed me I should have had the latch across the door.... Decent property; pitiful attitude of the management. First time stay. Very disappointed for being rated as a 4 star . Hotel seems to be more concerned about first impression than customer services. The pool area was biggest let down. The indoor pool/Jacuzzi-- COLD pool, cold "hot" tub ,COLD in whole pool area. Also pool is NOT full size as found in other hotels, Hot breakfast WAS NOT included. Breakfast that was offered was limited and would go elsewhere than pay their price. Advised staff of these items and they did not even attempt to compensate in any way. there are better hotels with whole package out there. read more
