INTRO: Vita-Vite is a refined lounge-style wine bar doubling as an art gallery. If you want a spot for date, then this it. Merlot: One of fine merlot I have ever drink. Not too dry, fruity and smooth. Menu are priced decently considering that this is downtown Raleigh. Expect $24-$30 check for couple of glasses. Parking/ Location: This will be located right in Hargett street, so street parking is available. However, there is a paid parking lot right down the street at walking distance. Ambience and Service: This place is epic. Lounge style sofa, outdoor seating, seating at bar, freaking art gallery! One of the best ambiences ever. The art gallery consists of art from local artist. They have a book shelf and I mean what this place doesn't have!

I enjoyed my own company today but felt great about it! The service was great and everyone is very friendly! I recommend the Kings Ridge if you are into red wine. If not the bartenders were so pleasant that they will point you in the right direction based off of what you like!

Vita Vite Downtown Raleigh is a must visit! The ala cart cheese board was definitely a hit! I'm not much of a beer drinker so I opted for the cider which has now became my favorite! There's an extensive option of wine and beer! They also have ample parking in the back which is a good bonus!

My wife and I have gone here on and off for years and I didn't used to be a fan. Place was fine but nothing special. Over the last year, my opinion has changed greatly. We love this place. Service is always great, wine selection is very solid, as is their small but well curated beer selection. What makes this place different is the ambience and food. Great selection of food that pairs well with wine, and a great interior with local art, and seating outside to people watch. I highly recommend.

Such a cute, trendy wine bar! This spot is fantastic for charcuterie and drinks. I highly recommend for a date night or catching up with friends.

Perfect date spot. Took my girlfriend there while walking around downtown and we really enjoyed ourselves. The art is amazing, but what is more amazing is the creative sitting areas they have for conversation. We only went for a couple drinks, but we talked for hours and really enjoyed ourselves.

I really like Vita Vite for when you want to get a drink with a few friends or at the end of a date but don't want anything too crazy. They have a good wine selection and the bartenders are friendly. They have a few snack-like foods, also. There's also a selection of games. Another cool feature is that they have art from local artists on the walls (for sale).

I always come in for a beer or glass of wine while my daughter is in a class across the street. Feels like home with comfy furniture and lovely art on the walls for sale.

Anytime I have a visitor in town, I always bring them to Vita Vite because the art is captivating and the wine is delicious! Vita Vite is perfect for all ages. My favorite wine there is the Honky Dory - semi-sweet and smooth. They have the coolest outdoor patio in town with a porch swing/couch. The atmosphere reminds me of Barcelona. Their bar snacks are reasonably affordable and pair perfectly with wine. Although the prices are reasonable, the restaurant is still high class. All the bartenders are knowledgeable about the wine and they even have beer for those who aren't into wine! There are all kinds of seats within the restaurant to make yourself comfortable. My favorite is a couch that faces both ways. It's always a clean environment too.

    Sneak peak inside!

Yay I've been patiently waiting (not so patiently actually) for Vita Vite to open. As a big wino I was so excited to hear about a new wine bar opening in the downtown area. This isn't just your typical wine bar it's also an art gallery. Owner Lindsay Rice is passionate about art and wine and was able to bring both or her loves together in one amazing space. All the artwork is from southern artists and you can walk around and check out all the artwork hanging on the walls throughout the space. They did such an incredible job with this old building in the warehouse district. They still incorporated some of the old wood that was originally in the space and added so much rustic and modern charm. What's awesome about this space is that it also hosts an event space in the back with a full catering kitchen. The event space is beautiful with amazing chandeliers hanging from the ceiling, it would be great for a small reception, dinner party, corporate meetings and so much more. Don't miss the pretty bathrooms, yes they are worth a mention! The wine list isn't huge but it is quality! You will not be disappointed no matter what price point you pick and what kind of wine you enjoy. Don't like wine? No problem they have a great list of craft brews on tap. Soon to come is cheese plates, I can't wait. If you are looking for some unique gifts they also carry some pretty cool foodie and southern gifts to purchase. The outdoor area is perfect for an afternoon of wine tasting. Large comfy couches and chairs make you feel like you are drinking wine in your own living room. The indoor area gives you the same feel, with all the beautiful artwork and fireplaces. Let's just say I think I found one of my new favorite spots in DTR!

Their roast beef panini is on par with Portillo's a long standing Chicago beef restaurant (IYKYK). I've NEVER had a beef sandwich that was better than Portillo's but Postino you managed to take a hometown classic and elevate it to a point beyond my expectations - if you get this sandwich I recommend getting it on the ciabatta bread versus focaccia. Let's not overlook the tomato soup - it's so rich and flavorful. For a lighter lunch my go to is the tuna panini with broccoli salad. They are known for their boards, I've not had the bruschetta yet but it looks delicious. My favorite board is the hummus. One thing I hate is when a restaurant gives you a big bowl of hummus and not enough pita. That is not the case here, you'll get pita, toasted bread, and a variety of vegetables to scoop up the velvety humus covered in cherry tomatoes, red onion and feta. For date night enjoy a Violet Femme a gin cocktail that tastes as lovely as it looks. The service here is top notch! Everyone is fantastic. I'll have to come back to this review to note the serves names we've had because they have all been exceptional. Now let's talk about the vibe! Postino's nailed the indoor/outdoor feel. Plenty of windows that are open on nice days, plants galore and the decor gives you a cool like rockstar but classy feel. 5 stars doesn't feel like enough.

The space is cozy, not too big, and lovely. Everyone we interacted with was incredibly friendly & attentive. We even got to meet the Chef and let him know how amazing his curated and creative dishes were! We sat at the bar and were able to be seated right away. We each opted for a glass of Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon (or two). On to the food! The menu is extensive but not overwhelming. Plenty of delicious and appealing options of small plates to share, but also a few larger ones. We started with the Goat Cheese Stuffed Piquillo Peppers & Truffled Deviled Eggs. Both of these were amazing. The Peppers melt in your mouth and had so much flavor. The Deviled Eggs had the perfect amount of truffle flavor and were perfectly cooked. Next we opted for the Baguette of the day - this one was served with Salami, Burrata, and Arugula. The bread was perfectly crispy and all of the toppings fresh and delicious; this was a perfect combination! Lastly, it was between the Lamb Sliders Trio and the Paella! I really wanted to try the Paella, but my sister and I decided that we would try something a bit lighter and the Sliders looked so elevated, unique, and delicious. They sure did deliver! Served with fresh Goat Cheese, Guacamole, Fresh Jalapeño, Caramelized Onions, and Sriracha, which we got on the side. This dish was absolutely amazing! So different. You wouldn't think to put those flavors together, but it was so great and we would hands-down get it again! All of the food at Vinos Finos was delicious, fun, and fresh. I love how the Chef puts together various flavors that you wouldn't expect. We cannot wait to go back!

Already off to a good start. From the name, I initially expected more of a wine bar, but the menu caught my attention immediately. It's small and focused, which I like, and seeing Basque cheesecake on the dessert menu certainly didn't hurt. The star of my meal--and I mean STAR--was the fried broccoli Caesar. This was kick-ass delicious. Crispy, beautifully seasoned broccoli with Caesar dressing, Parmesan and croutons. I would order this again in a heartbeat. Add a protein and I could happily make an entire meal out of it. I'm now determined to figure out how to make something similar at home. For my entrée, I ordered the filet mignon medium rare. It came with local greens and fingerling potatoes. Those potatoes were fantastic--shatteringly crisp outside and fluffy inside. Whatever magic happened to them in that kitchen, keep doing it. The filet had great flavor and was tender, but as I worked toward the center, it went from medium rare to essentially raw. The lighting is fairly dim, so I didn't notice immediately. By the time I did, I was nearly finished and simply left that portion on the plate. Next time I'd cut into the center early and, if necessary, ask them to give it another minute or two on the heat. The accompanying greens were fine, but the broccoli and potatoes were far more memorable. This feels like a true little independent neighborhood restaurant. I met the owners, Dave and Molly, and Molly steered me toward the broccoli Caesar when I was debating between that and the Basque cheesecake. She made the right call. I'd already been a little greedy with dessert the night before, so perhaps the universe was looking out for me. My only slightly odd moment came at the end. When I declined a box for the remaining steak because I was staying in a hotel, I was told their dogs would enjoy it. Harmless, certainly, but probably more information than I needed about the future of my filet. Overall, I enjoyed Stellar. It's comfortable and unpretentious, with an open kitchen, a nice bar, outdoor seating and a menu with enough personality to make me want to return. And that broccoli Caesar alone deserves another visit. Life is too short not to eat well. Get out there and find your next meal.
