The bed was comfortable, too! The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful with anything we needed. Complimentary breakfast, but the hours are a little short in my opinion. Overall we had a great experience and I will return the next time we come to visit.

Located by the airport, I was given a room with a comfy bed, a working desk, tv, and clean bathroom. Hotel has typical amenities of a workout room, indoor pool, and lounge area. No complimentary breakfast FYI. If you're gonna get the shuttle to the airport, make sure you call and be where you're supposed to be which is down further on the right when you exit. I though they had forgot about me when I called until they showed up 30 minutes later. It was early afternoon so didn't miss too much time but had it been at night, I'd probably give a weaker review.

For example, the soap/shampoo holder in the shower was rusty as was the rail to the closet door. But the furniture was newer and nice. I tried to get a cup of coffee for breakfast, but the lady who seemed to be managing the bistro seemed to be spending most of her time in the back room. When she finally surfaced, I attempted to get coffee, but she was not able to look up from the cash register to acknowledge me. No coffee for me. Day 2, I talked to the bistro dominatrix today, but no coffee for me. She had to grind beans and forgot about me. The beds are comfy, and great pillows. The hot water for the shower isn't hot.

When traveling you always have an expectation for a Hampton Inn, usually paying more because you can trust the brand. This is more like a forgotten Sleep Inn or tired Best Western. Not dirty. The bed is comfortable but the pillows are a bit lumpy. Furniture in the room is damaged. Outlets by the bed don't even hold a plug. Bathroom toilet not bolted down and a seal must be broken based on the string odor. We thought the neighboring room had a loud white noise machine. Turns out it is the fridge. The freezer portion is so full of ice nothing can fit into that section. Shelves broke or missing in the fridge. I'm not one to photo every bit and bump but as a for instance, but here's a photo of the bathroom mirror in a state of repair since? Some doors not soft closing so at the mercy of other guest's courtesy. Not at all what you may expect from a Hilton family of properties or a bright and modern Hampton Inn. Hope you get a good rate. That said, if this hotel is being managed by the likes of individuals such as "Ms. Mary", it is no wonder the reviews are so questionable! Upon arrival I called and had a shuttle at the airport in about 15 minutes. Mrs. Carrie (not sure on spelling) picked me up and was an amazingly kind lady. She made me feel like I was family and you can tell it is who she is, a kind and caring person. Ben helped me get checked in, and I was setup for my stay. He provided info that I asked for about the area and was also very kind. My first night I walked across the street to "Mexico Restaurant" and food was pretty good. The next morning I made a typical hotel breakfast shown in the photo. Aside from this - the room was nice and most of my time was working away. I had breakfast and used the treadmill and finished the night in my room. Room felt clean, noise level was better than some of my stays, food was good, service was great. I believe you get the energy you put out and this was a positive week. If you're flying to the Richmond airport and need a place to stay nearby, this is a great spot (or the other Marriott in the same parking lot, that also looked nice). It's about 5 minutes from the airport and they pick you up and return you when needed to fly out. Recommend.

The room was in fantastic shape -- I couldn't believe the quality for the price, as some of these Richmond rooms were well over $200/night. As a sufferer of chronic back pain, I feel extra inclined to highlight the bed. I had the refreshing sleep I needed (especially as I faced another plethora of additional delays the next day). The next morning, I had a super smooth check-out process and a lovely shuttle transfer to the airport. The driver was absolutely fantastic -- I cannot remember her name for the life of me (I'm so sorry), but I am beyond grateful for her cheerful demeanor and sense of humor. I highly recommend this Fairfield, especially if you need a place to stay during a delay!

Ugh. At least the noisy air conditioning unit kept the stuffy room cool. However, since it wasn't clean, the air was filled with who knows what. The staining on the walls and what ever was growing along the tub walls will only add to our nightmares. There was mold or mildew where the ceiling met the wall. The tiny full size bed was uncomfortable. I kept feeling like I'd roll off the side. Our night's sleep was continuously disturbed by our neighbors' coming and goings all night long. Stay here if you don't mind germs and splatter on the walls. We did not eat at the breakfast buffet, even on a dare. The husband failed with this one and has learned a lesson. We never could have stayed for more than the 1 night needed!
