Had a lovely experience at this hotel! The front desk attendant was super nice and helpful, as was the entire staff -- from getting me settled into my room to ordering the best menu options for dinner. My room was spacious, modern and cozy. I had access to the M Lounge, which was a nice experience. There are usually light bites for lunch/dinner I believe but that wasn't an option that weekend. The breakfast however was good and I loved the snack options, though I'll admit, all the chips we grabbed were stale. The hotel was overall quite quiet and near lots of walkable restaurants and shopping areas. Next time I'm in Richmond, I will stay here.

I stayed at this Marriott in Short Pump for a little weekend getaway. I arrived a couple hours before check-in so I asked if early check-in was available. Luckily, it was and I was given a key to my room. I got a king bed and the room was nice and clean. The bed was comfortable and I love that Marriott hotels have the ability to allow you to sign in to Netflix. One thing that was a little out of the hotel's control is the noise in the hallways. There was a sports team staying in the hotel at the time so there was a bit a noise from time to time. Overall, I would stay here again. It's in a great location not far from a shopping mall and plenty of places to eat. It's about 20 minutes from downtown Richmond but there is also plenty to do in this area as well.

What a beautiful hotel! The lobby is spacious and the front desk staff were welcoming. There was a cozy fire going and a few comfy chairs upon entering and I immediately got a inviting vibe. A tv in another larger area with couches and chairs made a relaxing space to catch up on the latest news. The dining room was roomy and pristine. We stopped at the stylish bar for a drink while we waited for our party. The White Russian was refreshing and the bar tender was very pleasant. I was pleasantly surprised at the many nooks and seating areas around the first floor of the hotel. I can see many patrons grabbing a table at a small alcove while having a conference or catching up on work. There were charging stations for convenience. My friend was staying there for her honeymoon and her room was bright, clean and spacious! The restrooms were impeccably clean and well stocked. I'd definitely recommend staying here and/or hosting an event at this modern, cool hotel!

Room appropriately darkened so you don't notice how clean.

Wow, this was disappointing. I stayed here for most of a week and was amazed at how tired and unmaintained this place was. I slept well and staff was nice, but wow - not up to standards. Certainly not my room. The paint on the ceiling was coming off in big chunks. Especially near the bathroom. Likely because there was no fan or if there was, it didn't turn on. The toilet was so close to the bathtub that your thigh will get an extra washing. Maybe it was some weird bidet that didn't quite work out. That would be why the toilet seat was off center by about two inches. The USB outlets were so used that they wouldn't stay in. I had to move furniture to find an outlet that I could use. I hope whoever checks these things doesn't mind that they had plugged this ginormous six way outlet into one of the outlets. That was strange on top of a strange stay.

    Food in fridge...smh

H E to the double hockey sticks no.. stayed in Short Pump...geez...They always have dirty duvets. The towels, sheets, and pillowcases always have hair and makeup on it. Look closely in the bed I swear the sheets are not being changed. Food was in the fridge. There is always BIG MOLD in the rooms. The front desk is ratchet. You ask for a manager some tall goofy guy that starts with a "W" shows up and he never knows anything. The GM is no better. He acts a little touched in the brain too. The bathrooms are filthy. The rooms look like a guest just checked out before you. Just throw the whole darn hotel away. These people are not running this place correctly. When you walk in you are like WOW. Then you go upstairs. I give 1 star because I had no choice.

I really enjoyed my stay here, even if it was for just one night. It was very convenient to restaurants and other businesses that I visited, there were walking trails not too far away (one that you could walk to and a couple urban parks that I drove to), their exercise room was great for this size hotel (although I did not use the aerobic equipment because I was outside walking), the front desk folks were especially helpful and pleasant, the room was very comfortable, and the restaurant/ bar area looked nice (I did not eat there because i had dinner plans with a fried in the area and I wanted to try out a breakfast place close by). I would definitely come back here again if I needed to be in the area. My only real knock on this property was that the access to the exercise room and pool area was not especially convenient. You have to walk down a long-ish hallway and down a set of stairs. The reason for the appears clear: the exercise room and pool are situated on the side of the building that can only be accessed otherwise by walking through the restaurant; I would not want sweaty people traipsing through the restaurant when people are trying to eat. But a solution to encourage people (not discourage) people to exercise would be desirable.

Overall, a nice experience. We got there very late (11 pm) and the front desk staff was very friendly and chipper despite being so late. We stopped in the M Lounge before heading up to our room and grabbed complimentary sodas and granola bars. The room was very nice and clean. Decor was updated and very modern. Only complaint was the rather bizarre bathroom door - it's a frosted sliding door. No lock and a bit of a gap on either side of the door where it slides...if you are a private person, this will not be a comfortable situation. I traveled with my teenage daughter and she was quite uncomfortable with the non-locking, sliding door - she's modest and it made her very wary of the bathroom. A real disappointment in the room as we both had to shower, etc and the frosted style of the door was just way outside of our comfort zone. Service and friendliness of staff was A+, though! The M Lounge breakfast was average - eggs and sausage links (no bacon! Who leaves out bacon?!). Despite lovely staff and cleanliness, not sure I'd stay again ONLY because of the weird, privacy issues with bathroom door!

The decision to book there was largely based on the excellent YELP reviews I had read.... Other than being a little hard to find off of the highway, (because of the difficulty of viewing the sign only at the very top of the building, and the entrance being 1/4 mile away through a corporate office complex), I agree with the high ratings. I spent four very comfortable nights there. The rooms were relatively quiet, no carousing in the hallways, etc. I can't speak to the quality of the food, as I have a very restricted diet. But the rest of our party were pleased with the breakfasts and afternoon refreshments. The fruited water urns were a very nice touch. Our party of twenty plus used the communal lobby area to meet, with access to a bar. Even the discounted group-rate rooms were a little pricey, but everything was clean, quiet, and spacious.

We actually chose Drury because a new location recently opened near us in Brandon, Florida. We hadn't had the chance to stay there yet because it's been incredibly popular since opening, so when I saw the Richmond location on Expedia with a great rate and an additional discount, it was an easy decision. Before traveling, I called to ask about early check in, but unfortunately it wasn't available at the time. However, once we landed and stopped by the hotel before heading to our event, Kim at the front desk completely turned things around. She was warm, accommodating, understanding, and was able to get us into our room so we could get ready for the anniversary celebration. Her customer service was exceptional and truly set the tone for our stay. Thank you, Kim! The hotel itself was spotless. The room and common areas were very clean, and every staff member we encountered greeted us with a smile and made us feel welcome. Although we were in and out most of the weekend, every interaction was pleasant. One thing that really stood out was the value. Complimentary breakfast each morning, the evening Kickback with food and drinks, drink tickets for adult beverages, and even fresh popcorn made this stay feel like you were getting so much more than just a room. Whether you're traveling with family, as a couple, or on business, these amenities are a huge bonus and can really help stretch your travel budget. We also noticed how family friendly the atmosphere was. It was welcoming without feeling overwhelming, and the amenities make it easy to see why so many families choose Drury. We genuinely enjoyed our stay and are already looking forward to staying at another Drury during our upcoming trip to the San Antonio area. If this experience is any indication of what we can expect from the brand, we're excited to become repeat guests. Thank you to Kim and the entire team for making our visit so enjoyable. Wishing Drury continued success! (5/5)

From the outside, the hotel looked brand new and had lots of parking. As you stepped inside, you entered into a large lobby area with lots of seating and dining tables. At the front was a small check-in desk and at the back was the complimentary tea, coffee, and hot chocolate, microwave, as well as where the 'grab'n'go' breakfast is located. The room itself is basic but room enough and has all the basic amenities. As you opened the door, on the left was the entrance to the bathroom and after that was a storage rack with a place to store you luggage on top as well as hooks with hangers to hang your stuff on. Next to that was a small section which contained a small ironing board, and underneath the luggage rack was a fridge as well as cubby hotels with additional storage and the iron. The bathroom was also a decent size and contained a sink with counter space, a toilet, and a small stand-in shower. The shower was the only thing that looked small and prefabricated (and thus a bit cheap) but overall the bathroom was decent and had Dove toiletries next to the sink (hand wash and lotion) as well as in the shower (body wash, shampoo and conditioner). The bed was located along the left side of the wall and I had a king-size room which the bed size and comfort were decent and provided a good nights sleep. On either side of the bed were two small nightstands with plugs as well as USB ports on either side. Across from the bed, along the right side of the wall, contained additional hooks to hang your jacket/clothes, a TV mounted along the wall, and a long desk underneath that along with a TV-tray/mini table underneath the big table. The big table was great to do work as well as eat and the mini-table provided extra storage for the work and food. Overall, the room was a decent size, comfortable, had the basic amenities that a guests need, and provided a good nights sleep. The hotel does provide additional amenities for the guests including complimentary parking, complimentary wifi, tea, coffee, and hot chocolate available all the time, grab'n'go breakfast, pool as well as a gym. I was only there for a little while so only experienced the complimentary parking (lots of spaces) and the complimentary wifi which was strong and was able to connect multiple devices. Had I stayed longer I would've enjoyed the complimentary tea/coffee/hot chocolate, the fitness facility as well as the breakfast. Overall, it was a nice hotel with lots of amenities and services for the guest. The room was comfortable, provided a good nights sleep, and the wifi was strong.

I was in Richmond for a funeral, and as you can imagine, my family and I were in mourning. To add to this difficult time, the city was dealing with a water crisis due to a pipe break, making the water undrinkable. This meant we had to buy bottled water just to wash our faces and brush our teeth. When we arrived at the hotel, the night attendant, Mark, seemed out of it--whether from sleepiness or something else, I'm not sure. He asked for the last name on the reservation, and my sister, who has two last names, had to repeat herself 2-3 times before he finally found the booking. That was the extent of the communication. Despite the hotel knowing about the water situation, Mark didn't offer us any bottled water, which would have been a thoughtful gesture under the circumstances. When we got to our room, it felt old and not very clean. My family and I always sanitize hotel rooms as a personal preference, especially since COVID. While I understand that housekeeping staff are on tight schedules, this room clearly needed more attention. The chair in the room was broken--it sank when you sat on it and was leaning. The bed was extremely squeaky, and since the headboard was attached to the wall, it was clearly the mattress or frame causing the noise. On the plus side, the room had a microwave and fridge. The real issue, however, came the next day. After leaving the room and returning late at night (the day of the funeral), we discovered that our room hadn't been cleaned. We'd seen housekeeping around 3 p.m. and assumed they'd get to our room, but they never did. Exhausted from an emotional day, this was the last thing we wanted to deal with. When I went to the front desk, the agent told me, "We clean rooms every other day. I don't know any hotels that clean them daily, actually." I explained that I'd just come back from Las Vegas, where my room was cleaned daily. She shrugged and said, "Okay." I also mentioned that Mark had failed to inform us of this policy, which would have been important to know. If we'd known, we might not have stayed here in the first place. Unfortunately, our original hotel had canceled our reservation because we hadn't checked in on time, leaving us with no choice but to stay here. This hotel is the Hilton sister partner. Which it was the Hilton that cancelled our reservation. This experience left us deeply disappointed and frustrated. While the water crisis wasn't the hotel's fault, they could have made a small effort to improve the guest experience, such as cleaning rooms daily during this time. Instead, they did nothing to accommodate guests under already stressful circumstances. As a Marriott Bonvoy member, I expected better. This hotel did not meet the standard I associate with the brand--it felt run-down and neglected. If you're considering staying here, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere. The low ratings for this location are accurate, and based on our experience, I wouldn't recommend it. The hotel also didn't have WiFi. Smh how do you operate a business like this.
