Whereas the response time to my request was very good, and the friendliness and work quality was good, communication was lacking. I was charged $395 for a replacement shower valve. The same Moen valve was less than $175 anywhere else online or in hardware stores. I was told that what I received was a higher quality than available elsewhere. Further checking with Moen told me that they only made one quality level. I requested more info from Doug Clark but was told that I was being a nuisance and that if I registered for the warranty with Moen, then Doug Clark Plumbing would not be responsible for any more support. Needless to say, I am not happy with their response. I should have requested a quote beforehand. I strongly advise anyone dealing with Doug Clark Plumbing to do so. read more

Doug Clark and his sons performed a service call within 5 hours of my calling them. I had never dealt with them before, so I was impressed with the fast turnaround. The problem, whcih they fixed, was part of a larger issue, which meant replacing our entire filtration system. Our well is 400 feet deep, so you can imagine the issues we have with water. Doug priced out a system and, after shopping around, decided it was the best choice. It took about 10 days and three people, all licensed plumbers, spent an entire day installing the new system. The water was relatively clean immediately and after a few days of tweaking was crystal clear and totally drinkable. We were very impressed with the service, attitude and cleanliness of the experience and would not hesitate to recommend or use them again. read more

"24 hour service" yet ive been trying to get a hold of them for weeks now. Called their call center, called ben and doug, texted ben and doug, and still nothing.. after weeks. How can i rely on this company for "24 hour service" when its been weeks since they even replied to anything? Terrible. read more

Don't waste your time with Doug Clark Plumbing. This morning was the fourth occasion in which we either took a morning off, an afternoon off or rushed home from work (we work in Toronto, so it's a trek); to be stood up from Doug without a phone call. The only reason we called him this time - was the issue was in relation to something he installed a few years back. Doesn't have the decency to make other arrangements? Ignores an appointment even when it's in direct relationship to his workmanship? Should probably find another contractor folks; small towns don't need this kind of nonsense. read more

Unreliable. Mr. Clark installed faulty clawfoot bath faucets that leaked from the day he installed them. After several phone calls and messages that were unreturned for weeks he showed up and disassembled the faucets and said he needed to order a part. That was six months ago. He has never returned to fix the faucets which I paid $1100.00 to him to install. I have no idea who the manufacturer of the faucets is because Doug provided them himself. I am out of pocket $1100 and all I have is a clawfoot tub without faucets. Would not recommend him to anybody. Disgraceful service. read more
