Daniel's brother helped service a slow draining kitchen sink issue. Previously we tried a bunch of…read moredraino and hot water but still had an issue later on. So we called a professional. Given his stellar 5-star reviews we felt comfortable hiring F1. His quote was reasonable and though he wasn't available to come immediately, only a few days later. We originally agreed for him to visit on Friday but somehow he or his bro made a mistake and visited on Thursday, when no one was home at that time he came. He did come back on Friday at our scheduled time and fix the issue with the electric power snake. I wasn't present when he did it but someone else was in my place. He also didn't send a follow up text to tell me it's fixed, diagnoses, photos or how to prevent it. But at the same time, he's also patient and didn't ask me to pay until I prompted him several hours later asking about the status of the job. I suppose he's a busy man! Communication could be better, just keep in mind you may have to prompt him again to get your receipt later. What's important is that it's fixed and working properly.

He offered fast, friendly, and affordable service! Some things I learned: I noticed he didn't caulk the new toilet and after asking, he advised that high rise don't allow that in the gta. He also advised that the kitchen sink was incorrectly installed by the former condo owner. He did a great job replacing it and removing as much of the incorrect caulk/glue as he could. We had to get rid of the old toilet ourselves but I think that's built into the cost since I was quoted at least $40 more by other plumbers who offered that service. Overall, I recommend Daniel's plumbing services. The sink and toilet are still working great.

Brian Hayes Plumbing performed service at our residence on two occasions this past spring…read more Specifically, a diverter was replaced including the tightening of a bathtub drain - simple service work. A hole had to be cut in our stucco ceiling to diagnose the problem. Following this $200 service call not to mention the cost of repairing the ceiling, the tub's leak worsened to the point of flooding the washroom, the new diverter ceased working and yet again on the follow up service call. After a discussion with an unprofessional serviceman with huckster-like phone skills named Jeff (also responsible for the faulty work) and several calls placed and delayed callbacks, Mr. Hayes visited in an attempt to smooth things over and repair the faulty work. His remedy: a washroom reno (even after indicating we were contemplating selling the house). He dropped off a $4500 quote in the midst of a still leaking tub and a sour taste in our mouths from money and time wasted to that point. So instead, we googled 'reputable plumbers durham' and I was linked to one online ad in particular: an independent, semi-retired plumber that not only fixed the problem by replacing a simple drain pipe clamp - $80 including labour - but referred me to a semi-retired drywaller that fixed our ceiling for $100. All in, $180 vs potential costs of nearly $5500 had we went ahead with the suggested reno and ceiling repair (incl money already spent for headaches and ineffective repairs). Speaking of 'googling', the irony here is I sourced Brian Hayes Plumbing by searching "best plumbers oshawa". It seems 'good and honest' plumbers are as plentiful as good and honest car repairmen.

Hi, I want to thank…read moreGiulian for coming to my house yesterday. He is a very pleasant young man, and he had a camera and explained to me what's causing the blockage (roots) and gave me a quote for replacing the old pipe. I will definitely keep it in mind and hire Sewer Squad when I decide to go ahead with the work. I highly recommend their services. Emma

I had Sewer Squad come to my property on March 4, 2026, for a **Drain Clear and Scope Special**,…read morefor which I paid $88. During the visit, the plumber diagnosed a compromised sewer line and recommended a Bronze (Orangeburg) pipe replacement costing over $4,000. At the time, I asked about the camera footage, and the plumber told me there was no need to record it immediately. He assured me that if I ever needed it for insurance purposes, they could come back and do it. Months later, when my insurance company requested the camera footage along with the repair estimate, I contacted Sewer Squad. To my surprise, I was told that: * They no longer service the Waterloo region, despite previously servicing my property. * No camera footage had been recorded during my original appointment. * If I wanted the camera inspection now, I would have to pay another $88. What made the experience even more disappointing was the customer service. Instead of trying to understand the situation, the representative argued with me, interrupted me repeatedly and blamed me for not requesting the footage sooner - even though I had relied on the plumber's advice during the original visit. I don't believe customers should be charged twice because a service wasn't completed as promised or because they followed the technician's recommendation. I hope Sewer Squad reviews its customer service practices and ensures that services advertised and paid for are actually completed. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I cannot recommend them.
