Spinner & Spinner did not offer any help to fix my stolen identity. Spinner & Spinner did not offer to pay for LifeLock or any other monitoring services. Spinner & Spinner never told me if any information was taken (SSN, birth date, bank account numbers, financial numbers, etc.) Spinner & Spinner left me to fix the problem by myself, and my own expense.

Initial session only took a couple of hours. Review of the return and finalization took 3 -4 more business days. The value of the service was well worth it. I have spent much more at other accountants. The only recommendation would be for a secure portal to submit documentation electronically and electronic PDF version of the final return. However, for the price it was worth the inconvenience of printing out paper copies. Plan to use service again and would highly recommend.

I received a notice in 2024 from the NY State Tax Board regarding a penalty from 2021 that unbeknownst to me, I owed them. I reached out to R&M 8 times over the course of 3 months via email and phone to inquire about the notice. I finally received a call back from Raisa Fishman herself who had a terrible attitude right off the bat. She told me that per the contract I signed with her to prepare my taxes in 2022, that any future correspondence was not their problem and something they charge for. I told her that she at least could have given me the courtesy of a response, stating this. She must've felt badly because she went on to explain that the notice I received was something that had nothing to do with incorrectly preparing my tax returns. She prattled on about how she tells her clients that they may receive notices of penalty from the IRS but "no one ever pays attention to me." Never in my 27 years of tax filing have I ever received a penalty notice, nor is a warning such as that something I would disregard. She then flat out told me that the reason she hadn't responded to my numerous attempts to contact her was because I am not a current client. I was floored. I am honestly shocked at the unprofessionalism and disrespect I received. I cannot imagine why anyone would want to do business with this company.
