I love the level of care that I receive from Dr. Anders! Dr. Anders is very knowledgeable, patient, and extremely pleasant. I'm always doing my research and every time I come in with a stack of questions for him to answer he knocks each and every one of them out of the park or gives me new information to work with. I never feel like I'm out of the loop as he's always informing me of what's going on and actively including me in my treatment. The receptionists are well informed and really accommodating. He offers a patient portal where you can message him, see the notes of your appointments and read your test results, which I've found extremely useful. I have to drive 40-50 minutes to see him, and I could definitely switch doctors, but It's worth it to continue receiving care here. read more

Dr. Anders was a Godsend for my mother. He was her doctor for the last 9 years of her life and was always very professional, responsive, and compassionate toward her. She trusted his judgement and felt secure in his care. Whenever I had a question about her care, I emailed him and he responded quickly, sometimes within an hour or two.When mom had to be put into memory care, he filled out the paperwork within 10 minutes when I walked in without notice. I had to jump through three months worth of insurance hoops and drop Kaiser, but Dr. Anders is now my doctor as well. Between the severe shortage of physicians and the insurance and government requirements doctors have to deal with, they shouldn't have to deal with our "traffic problems" as well. Traffic in this area is only going to get worse. Don't be on time. Be 20 minutes early and plan accordingly. read more

Run from this place! It's not the doctor. It's his office staff. They're a total mess. You want to see a specialist? Get ready to call twenty times for that referral they lost. Did you think that copay was only $20? Get ready to start arguing with Anders' secretary. Oh, and your appointment -- sorry, they overbooked today. But I'm twenty minutes early! No dice, sweetheart. Come back another day. The most egregious thing about this place is when they have to order you something through your insurance that you desperately need. Let's say you need an insulin meter. Good luck on it showing up. They're so incompetent that if you call enough like I did they'll fork over the details so you can do it. And you'll find out pretty fast that in 99% of the cases, you can't. Now, I'm sympathetic to doctors like Anders who run their own practices. But when you need a life saving device and it doesn't show up, or when your appointment is canceled because the office clowns overbooked, or when you only see the doctor for a few minutes because he's trying to squeeze too many people in, you start to question if you are going to get better. Anders needs to address this. As it is now, his staff is incompetent. And I hope that changes. read more

Please do yourself a favor and do not choose this doctor. We were auto-assigned this office as our PCP and didn't question the assignment because it was so close to home. Our special needs daughter was given an appointment one month out even after explaining the urgency of the need, she was running out of g-tube supplies and her formula; this is her ONLY source of nutrition (eats nothing by mouth). I was ok with the appointment date because Bianca, the receptionist 'seemed' to understand the need and had us come in to fill out the new patient packet so they could get her supplies authorized. NINE days later I found out from our medical group that nothing had been done, no authorization was submitted; it just sat in their office! The explanation I as given by Bianca was, "theres other things that were urgent too" (actual quote) Apparently, she DID NOT understand how urgent running out of food was for this fully g-tube dependent patient. I had to step in and make phone calls to my medical group, insurance company and the supply company to push things along. I was able to get a box of formula overnighted just before running out of food! This past Monday we had our first appointment with this awful man (Anders). His hostility was unmasked from the moment we stepped into the exam room. He didn't like that I had to, as he put it, "make phone calls". Yes, phone calls were absolutely necessary and truthful explanations to all parties involved were necessary to get my daughter's feeding supplies on time. I unapologetically admit that I made these phone calls and I had to tell my insurance company, medical group and supplier that this office sat on this case without doing anything. Anders told me I had submitted 'incorrect information' to them and that is why nothing got done. This is COMPLETELY false! The information was correctly passed on to them from our previous supplier of 6 years who graciously faxed the information to them to avoid any delays. This physician's world is small, so small they can't handle necessary medical needs of patients. My advice: If you need or think you might need extensive medical care, DONT choose this office. This doctor is really rude. You will regret it. read more

Dr. Anders is an excellent Doctor. Very compassionate and caring Doctor. He listens to you carefully, spends a quality amount of time with you. I had an infection, Dr. Anders personally called me with my lab reports. Very rare to have a Doctor personally call you. read more

LET THIS BE A WORD OF WARNING!!!!!! Do not be late - not even one (1) minute. The staff will cancel your appointment, without a second thought of what you've had to do or go thru to get there. Prime example. I work at a hospital, so I understand how time / punctuality matters. One "late" appointment can potentially set a physician back hours and all of his patients that day will suffer. The medical plaza is currently undergoing renovations on the parking lot and therefore you may have a slight delay with parking. I enter the office at 2:05pm, I see the clerk and state I'm there for my 2 o'clock (NO ONE IN THE LOBBY). She says one second, immediately returns and states flippantly "your appoint has been cancelled the Dr. cannot see you because your late." I look at the clock and say "really" to which she reply's "yup". She then proceeds to tell me if you wanted to be seen you should have been here 10 minutes prior to exactly on time - Granted they go to lunch from 1-2 so they've just opened back up from lunch and thus it would have been impossible for me to be "10 minutes" early. I spoke to Dr. Anders and explained my upset and here's the kicker, he said well I've got a schedule to keep. Even the tightest ran offices allow for transportation time - so if you are lame, disabled, and or unable to physically walk fast be warned A.) don't schedule at 2, B.) arrive 10-15 minutes prior or risk losing your appointment. Unfortunately as time went by I discovered serious problems. All I can say is run for your life, literally. The worst problem... my dad was 4 minutes late to his appointment and Douglas Anders refused to see him though ZERO patients were waiting. My dad didn't get the antibiotics he needed and ended up in the hospital 3 days later. Not as bad but still dangerous... he wouldn't prescribe needles for my dad's insulin pen. After trying to get needles for MONTHS I took him to Redlands Yukaipa urgent care and he again told them not prescribe needles BUT, unbelievably, gave me a prescription for more insulin pens!!! I filed a complaint with the state of CA and got needles the next business day. Now I'm the "bad" guy according to him. read more

Dr Anders appears to be a good doctor and is highly recommended. The problem with his office is his staff,it appears to be only one girl and she has no idea what she doing. She never follows through on any patients requests. She is unprofessional and can't seem to answer even the easiest question. He needs to hire someone else. read more

Really disappointed in my experience. I placed two phone calls and visited in person to request the doctor's interest in joining the medical network I belong to so I could be one of his patients. I was requested to come in for an appointment to discuss it with him. My wife and I went for our appointment and waited about 1/2 hour to only find out (told by the receptionist) the doctor stated he is not interested at this time to be in the medical network. Really? Not respectful of my wife and myself with regard to our time. A phone call would have done, but to have me come in for an appointment and then have your receptionist tell me instead of the doctor. Again,, two phone calls and two visits to the office. A waste of time for my wife and me. read more

Dr. Anders is a very good doctor. He is kind and patient. Unfortunately, I can't get anyone from his office to call me back after 3 weeks. I'm sick of waiting for his office staff to return my calls. If he is so busy then he should not be advertising all over town that he is accepting new patients. Last year I tried to get an appointment for a routine colonoscopy and after 3 attempts, I finally gave up. Because I am a health insurance broker I have referred several patients to his office, but I can assure you, I won't be doing that anymore. I'm moving over to Beaver Medical as soon as my insurance carrier says it's okay. read more
