I was very pleased to see they have done some renovation from the photos I searched for through their Facebook page. According to the young lady giving us the tour they have added tile flooring to the building as opposed to the previous carpet they had. Parking: Parking is available in front of the building (limited) and down the street as well. They do not have a parking garage or designated parking area for this center. Exterior: The exterior is well maintained by the city of Stockbridge. There is a railroad track directly across the street from the center. Interior: Upon entering the two double doors the floor plan is pretty open. There are two sets of restrooms with approximately 3 stalls per restroom. There is a storage and a janitor closet. Kitchen: They offer a kitchen with the following: Refrigerator, Electric Stove, Food Warmer, Small Ice Maker, and Sink **I will update this review once my event is hosted here**

The building was clean and a lift for a wheelchair was available for the lower event area. The Center is surrounded by beautiful plants and trees. Parking was not bad if you can walk across the street. Also handicap parking was right by the entrance. Actually the building had more than one entrance. This place is worth checking out if you are looking for a event venue.

From the time I made the first call to Lee, who handles the events at the center, I appreciated how friendly and helpful he was. He explained the rates of each room, how pricing works, what is and is not allowed in the event space, and let me know when I could come in for a tour. We stopped by a little after 7 one night to see the room and the guy working the front desk was more than happy to show us the room we were interested in reserving and answered all our questions. The next day, I spoke with Lee and reserved the space. It was a super easy process and I appreciated that he always responded very quickly if I had any questions. There were plenty of room options to host an event and the cost was very budget friendly. On the day of our event, things were flawless. We had no problem getting access to the room when we arrived on the day of our event and the room was already setup just as I discussed with Lee. The rooms are nice and spacious and the center has recently undergone a renovation so the rooms and bathrooms are updated and look much different than they do on their website. There is plenty of parking nearby and it's pretty easy to find the building. A really good experience and if I ever need a space for an event, I'll be sure to check out the community center first!

I admit, I have mixed feelings about this town. They are definitely way behind the times, but in a…read moreway, it's charming. On the other hand, they could do a lot with modernization and facelifts of businesses. I've noticed over the past few years that it does seem to be getting more family oriented, and there are new businesses popping up like Family Dollar. There's an area right down by the railroad tracks where there are some businesses, and they could really do a lot with that with bars and restaurants and mixed use. During the holidays, especially Christmas, they do a nice job of decorating the town and making spirits Bright. One of the coolest additions in recent years is Volkstuin. https://www.volkstuin.us. I have been to a few gatherings there, and it's a really cool vibe, community garden, Dillon's restaurant, great patio for parties, and office space. Last, but not least, Dough in the Box donuts are in downtown Austell - amazing. Definitely worth a trip all on its own. The chocolate cake donut with chocolate frosting is my favorite. They have awesome fritters also. They usually open quite early and everyone who works there is super friendly.

Really nice diving boards, Lanes so you can lap swim Huge shallow area perfect for kids Lots of comfortable lounge chairs and shaded areas The lifeguards are on point as well. They are always walking around the pool and don't seem to ever slack off. If I had children who couldn't swim I would feel secure knowing the lifeguards were around.
