    Over the years, I have purchased 4 pairs of glasses from Lenscrafters. Each time I purchased…read moreTransitions lenses with no-line bifocals which were very expensive. The last pair were made incorrectly. I had to bend my head back too far to use the lower part of the lenses. I went in 3 times within the 30-day period trying to get them adjusted to work properly. The salesman tried to help, but the last time he had me meet with the manager. The manager couldn't "fix them" either so I asked the manager to remake them. He was gruff and told me I would have to use the insurance replacement to have them remade. Unfortunately, I let him intimidate me and i just lived with the messed-up glasses. I didn't realize I could have complained to the company and have them remade or I would have done so. Last year, when I went in to buy another pair of glasses, I mentioned my problem to the salesman. He went to the back and circled where I was looking through and immediately saw the problem. He stated they should have been remade, and he would talk to the current manager about this situation. Unfortunately, the new manager didn't want to take responsibility for the prior manager's incompetence. I understood this so I asked who I could contact at the company. He gave me the name Mel as the Administration Supervisor and her "contact number". Unfortunately, this was a bogus name at the 800 number. That manager is no longer there. I ended up sending a letter to Lenscrafters and that's when I found out they had a lawsuit against them for this very problem, and they reached a settlement (Ariza et al v. Luxottica Retail Case 17-cv-5216). This is a warning to others that you need to demand that your glasses are made correctly and don't let anyone intimidate you into accepting an inferior product. The last manager I met there was very helpful in giving me information. I hope he stays there! They have lost my business forever, but I felt others should be warned. Peace.

    Had an appointment today. Arrived, found out one doctor is on vacation, the eyeglass specialist is…read moreout sick. Ok, I'm understanding - but this is about it. Every visit ends up being hours long, planned for that today. But this was going to be all day and not be able to get glasses which is the whole point of the visit. Why wouldn't you call the patients scheduled and explain the situation? People take time off work. It's just a bit disrespectful of people's time and effort. I was contacted by the office after this review. Appreciate that and the explanation of the unfortunate timeline of events. I have bumped this up a star (ok) but overall my experience was still what it was. I explained that this is an experience of over 10+yrs of my wife and I as patients. I was told the practice no longer operated as it once did which is great but not reflected the day of my visit. Willing to give them another chance and again appreciate them reaching out to me.

He was very thorough, showed us all our pictures and explained any questions we had. I feel very comfortable to recommend this doctor and the whole office staff is very welcoming. Also, another plus is the frame selection is really good too, some offices I've been in the past I couldn't even find a frame I liked, so I was really pleased.

I called to follow up and they never called me back. I figured they would call me when the contacts came in. Another month later I called and they would not call me back. I called my insurance company and they said a file was never claimed and there had been no pre-authorization. I finally had to go to the office because no one would return my phone call. They were apologetic and said they would get right on it and gave a few sample contacts to try until my scleral's came in. I tried the samples and called and told them which one it was and she said they would give me a few pairs for the holidays. I told her and sent a picture of which contact it was. When I went to pick them up she gave me the wrong contacts! They STILL have not returned my call, I have no contacts, I'm in glasses and have to start this process all over somewhere else. Dr. Gindi is a good OD (although I've left several messages for her and she still hasn't returned my phone call) but the place is absolutely TERRIBLE. I would definitely recommend finding another place to go to to avoid the headache.

    I had my annual eye exam at Clarkson by Jay Rosenfeld in March of 2026. This location was…read morerecommended by my health insurance company. I felt rushed and not comfortable throughout this exam. After dilating my eyes, he said "Oh you have sunglasses" so he let me leave but he should not have. There was also a person waiting in the lobby with the extreme dark shades that he should have provided for me. I only live a short distance from this location but my vision was severely impaired. Since I was feeling so wary about his competence I went to another firm for glasses. After picking them up I realized that there was no way I could possibly use them. They are reading glasses. To use them, any reading material had to be right up at my face. It was a gross over correction. I went to this company because my insurance paid for the exam. I'll not be back and I hope others will consider this review before booking an appointment. I wish YELP would have a "no" stars option, it fits this office.

    The thing is, yes Dr Rosenfeld has the personality of a potato as one reviewer said, but he does a…read morereally good, thorough eye exam. However, I will never go back. It's a shame he sold out to some big corporation. I have/had an upcoming annual exam and they just sent me a bill for the exam I had 12 months ago. My insurance pays for exam and retinal scan. Now I get a bill for...something. I don't know what. Apparently they are charging $258 for that eye exam and retinal scan and saying the insurance only paid $50. But eye exam and retinal scan are covered. So.... I don't know. To my understanding, that is "balance billing" which is illegal in Florida. And to wait a year to say I owe money??? And not saying which "service" it is for. I wonder how many people just pay it. Seems incredibly dishonest to me. Not to mention a bad business practice to send you a bill 12 months later. If you do decide to go, be sure to save your receipt saying you have paid in full. For years, if you have to. And yes, I opened a "chat" to query the bill. But they are "assisting other customers". For an hour so far.
