The owners, Haley and Leah, and all the staff are so sweet and so genuine. I felt confident that they could love my grandpa almost as much as my family would. The house felt like a home, very similar to the first level of the house I grew up in. It's not at all the sterile environment of some nursing homes. When I visited, I felt welcome to use the kitchen to make food for my grandpa and enjoyed spending time with some of the other residents. It is also clear that this is a family project. The family, spouses and kids of the staff are all involved with getting to know the residents and being involved in their lives. We will be forever grateful to Silver Linings for loving on my Papa David.

My last and final entree for Grasslands Estates Retirement Living a (Holiday Retirement Community)…read more My mother was diagnosed with Stage 4 Cancer in July and given 6 months life expectation. With the Management and I'm sure Corporate, Holiday Retirement, knowing this in October her rent was increased another $130 per month. Since her moving in at Grasslands in 2009 it has incresed about $400 per month. This should be proof that this Corporation is completely Profit based and has absolutly NO Impathy for the Resident. MANAGEMENT HAS BE VERY CONSIDERATE AND HELPFUL .THEY HAVE MADE IT POSSIBLE FOR FAMILY TO CARE FOR THEIR MOTHER AND PROVIDE VERY NEEDED SUPPORT. Even though my mother has less than three month of life they are concerned about their rent increase. Really?????? On top of that there is also a 30 day notice they require for termination of Rental. So, if you die, unless you know 30 days in advance, your going to be charged another Months rent. This seems greedy over kill seeing as how they already have 20% of their rooms open because of people leaving because of rent increase. It's not as if they will loose rent from that room. The local Managers have shown consideration for her illness and made family visits more comfortable. I do think it wrong because of past complaints to Corporate and Managers about the way illness and lockdown at the facililty was dealt with they refused to even neogotiate the rent increase this year. Because I stood up for my Mother at a tme when they told here she had to remain in her room, missing meals if she was asleep and didn't hear the knock on the door. She has Alshimers and for her being in the room with nothing to do was nothing short of torment. Her routine was disrupted and her health quickly declined. We had to take her from the Facility for over two weeks to avoid further health decline. Because I took action to get the lock down dealt with properly my mother is now being punished by refusal to neogotiate rent increase. I realize the Managers are limited on what they can do because of the Policies set by Holiday Retirement Corp. This is a purly profit base business with no care about what they do to their customers. Proven by their treatment of a terminally ill resident.

Park West Assisted Living - Excellent Staff and care. My Mother lived there for over 3 years,…read moreuntil a Staff Member gave her Covid while they were in lockdown. My Mother was hospitalized and then she ended up in the Manor. Park West Manor aka Nursing Home - If you want your parents to lose their teeth and receive irregular showers, so that their skin breaks down on their buttocks, this is the place for you! For $6k/mo private pay! You will also receive lots of excuses as to why proper personal care isn't being provided. Please note, zero to minimal oral care is provided to these patients, if they are not independent. Also make sure your Family Member is receiving a shower 3x/wk. If they are not receiving a shower, then they should be receiving a bed bath. The Administrator of Park West and the Director of Nursing in the Manor changed in approximately 01/2022 and this totally changed the care being provided to "Poor". An extra charge of $1500/mo on top of the regular fee of $5k/mo, was also added to our bill without prior notification, not to mention they billed us retroactively. This was based on patient's level of care, which after closer examination was inflated. They charge every patient for "supervision" in the Dining Room per the DON, even though supervision may not be warranted. In addition, they charged my Mother for receiving 4-5 meds per day, when she was only receiving one. Sadly, Park West is no longer providing the excellent care they provided prior to 01/2022.
