Very tasty, artistic all-vegan food in a super comfortable, homey and inviting little cafe/restaurant, with exceptional service. Great experience. My wife & I stopped in for a late brunch. We each ordered a cortado ($4) and a benny: I got the standard "sweet & smoky bacon benny", and my wife got the special benny (which rotates) (each $22 -- a little steep but worth it for the artistry of the dishes and the great decor). The standard benny comes with two scrambled tofu "eggs", seasoned wonderfully, with plant-based bacon, a bit of spinach, tomato, and cashew hollandaise, all served on top of stringy hashbrowns. The special came with 2 Yo eggs (I believe), which leak out "yolk" when you puncture them, like real eggs, served with plant-based bacon, cabbage, and micro greens. Both very tasty. We would have both preferred the bennies to be served on standard English muffins. As is, the hashbrown base is a bit too oily/fried and lacking that hearty feeling, and the waffle base was simply too sweet (a more savoury waffle might work better). But still, both dishes were very enjoyable, artistic, and thoughtfully constructed. If it were up to me, I'd add some healthier options to the brunch menu -- maybe a brunch bowl, give the option of an English muffin base for the bennies, and items with more veggies. I enjoyed two meals here on Wednesday and plan to return again on Thursday for at least one more. This is a 100% vegan establishment. For lunch, I ordered their Meetball Sub. The D2E meetballs were so satisfying. The topping of spicy mayo complimented the sandwich well. The Sub is well worth the $18. Because I enjoyed my lunch so much I returned for dinner. It exceeded my expectations. I started my dinner with an aperitif, one of their signature cocktail, Mezcal Fizz. It's cranberry, soda and sweet rosemary. It's worth the asking $13. It was light and very refreshin, making it the perfect pre-dinner cocktail. I'm a huge carbonara fan and seeing it on their menu I had to try the vegan version. I'm not going to lie and say you can't tell a differenc, but I'm also not going to lie and say it wasn't good because it was great. It was very flavorful and creamy. The vegan bacon even had a nice smokey flavor. At $25 I would for certain recommend and even enjoy this again myself. I ended a pleasurable dining experience with a serving of cashew strawberry ice cream. OMG for someone who isn't a fan of strawberry ice cream to begin with, this is one I could get behind. It's a beautiful cafe with very unique tasting vegetarian dishes . Now I must say that they have really played well with soya and vegetarian meat. Very flavourful and presentable. Coffee and drinks are in abundance . For us the drumsticks were too too good but the pasta was not good. The pea paste was not our taste but it looked yummy and healthy. Lol read more

Delicious food and incredible service! We went there for lunch and had the classic burger and clubhouse, both with fries. The burger was very flavourful and held together well. The clubhouse was also very tasty. The fries came with a beet ketchup which was amazing! The waitress explained the menu to us quite well and pointed out her favourites. A fun little plant based restaurant off the #1 in Walnut Grove. Great vibe with cool decor and spacious seating. Not a lot of tables so get there early. The food is mostly plant based comfort food. We had the poutine, Mac and cheese, and the quesadilla. They were all very good but a heavier meal than I usually eat. The servers were polite and helpful although not very interactive. The restaurant wasn't very full when we were there and I would've expected more interaction from the staff. That's what lost 1 star for me. I'd go back - but maybe not in a hurry. read more

It's a small place, but it still has outdoor seating for the warmer weather, and a few cozy seats indoor. There is a large table at the front for waiting for pick up orders or large groups. It's clean and the art work is lovely. I find myself smiling and pointing out the fun animal meme photos. The service is also very friendly. I've been here quite a few times and love it. They make most of their items in house, and I love the difference in flavour it offers. The ketchup is made with beets and its delicious. They have a marvelous menu to choose from and everything I've had so far has been amazing. The have weekends for all day breakfast and weekdays for lunch/dinner options. Things I've tried: - Carbonara - -- rich and very filling. Adding the blackened chiggin is irresistible -Poutine - Crispy Chigging Cutlet Sandwich -- one of my favourites, very greasy though - Classic clubhouse -- delightfully fresh and good for a lunch or light dinner - French Dip -- they make their seitain in house and its incredibly flavourful as is the dip. The chipotle mayo adds a wonder addition to the dish - Eggs Benny -- This is filling and delicous. Served on hash browns. I do find it a bit on the sweet side. I've been following Down 2 Earth Plant Parlour on social media for some time now and finally had a chance to try out their brunch menu. The restaurant is super busy on the weekends and my weekday schedule doesn't typically let me brunch mid-week so when the opportunity came up, I jumped at it! The restaurant has a great beautiful front counter that provides you with options to dine in or take out. The dine in seating is small so I can see why this place gets really slammed on the weekends. The overall look of D2E is trendy, west coast chic. I ordered a peppermint mocha made with coconut milk and the west coast Benny breakfast. This dish was delicious, is completely vegan and does not skimp on flavour. The tofu eggs are moist and the texture is comparable to a poached egg. The cashew hollandaise sauce is to die for and I really liked how D2E replicated smoked salmon with carrots. I would highly recommend trying this featured item if you have a chance. read more

I wound up in Langley on a Saturday and made it a point to check out their vegan virtual kitchen: Nonna's Vegan Cucina! Note: this is only open Thursday to Sunday from 4-7. Ok, first off, this place is super cute. Of course, thanks to covid, I couldn't stay to enjoy the meal, but the spot is so bright and airy! I was immediately greeted by a chef. So freaking friendly! The staff that helped me with my order was also incredibly personable. Great customer presence. I ordered the ARANCINI (3 Large Arancini with Arborio Rice, Marinated Artichoke, Vegan Mozzarella, Pomodoro Sauce +Basil)! Crispy balls loaded with artichoke and broccoli. Didn't need much sauce with all those flavours. I have no idea what mozzarella they use but it was so good! I also ordered the 3 CHEEZE ALFREDO FETTUCCINE GFO (Seasonal Cream Sauce With Tomato + Parsley Gremolata). Holy cow!! This was the piece de resistance! So much flavour and perfect amount of tomato/parsley topping. The portions were also huge! I have enough for 2 more servings. My dairy eating friend couldn't tell these were vegan! This is my second time to Down 2 Earth Plant Parlour. The first time I ate in the restaurant and had the French dip, which was delicious. This time I ordered to go and I tried the burger for a late lunch and then had the Carbonara for dinner. Surprisingly the Carbonara heated up well in the hotel microwave. It was tasty! Staff was friendly and helpful both times. When placing my to go order they gave me an eta when the food would be ready and it was spot on! I recommend this place if your looking for yummy comfort food that is all vegan! I went back and had brunch Saturday and Sunday. I tried the Sweet & Smokey Bacun Benny on Saturday and then on Sunday I had the Buttermylk N Waffles. The Buttermylk N Waffles was the best in my opinion because the flavor of the cauliflower and waffles had a little spice and sweetness. I came out from Vancouver to visit a friend and was keen to try this delightful little gem. The ambiance and décor is fun and lively. Be sure to grab a comfortable booth. I love the design of this place! Their decor is super cute and the staff are friendly as well. The price is a little on the expensive side at $20 a dish for brunch, but everything tasted good and each item comes with a complementary immunity shot. This week's flavour was pomegranate, orange, lemon and ginger. It was really sour, but it wasn't bad. They ran out of their brunch feature and all their desserts when I came which was a shame, since I don't know when I'll be back as I live an hour's drive away. Their plating is really nice, and the portions are decent. My parents really enjoyed their mocha with oat milk as well. Buttermylk Cauli N Waffles (5/5) These were so good! The breading on the cauliflower was absolute perfection and my dad said it was the best cauliflower he's ever had (on par with Heirloom's). Personally I prefer Heirloom's just a little more since the seasoning on this was a little too salty for me, but trust me when I say that this is a damn good cauliflower. The waffles are nice as well, but I wish they were crisp instead of soft. The corn succotash was a mix of corn, edamame, bell peppers and onions, and it was decent. The corn and ginger puree was more mild in flavour, but still enjoyable. I liked the vegan butter, but I didn't like the bourbon syrup, which tasted like alcohol. I would've liked the option of maple syrup instead. Sweet N Smoky Bacun Benny (4.5/5) This was really good as well, but more mild in flavour as opposed to the cauli n' waffles. The bacun was super flavourful, and I'm guessing it's the brand Plant Base? The potato rosti at the bottom was super crispy and the spinach and teardrop tomatoes were fresh. The sauce that looked like ketchup didn't taste like ketchup and tasted like bbq sauce instead since it was pretty tangy. The hollandaise was creamy and the tofu scramble had a good consistency, but both were slightly lacking in flavour, which I made up for by dousing it in the ketchup-looking sauce. Overall, I really enjoyed the food and ambience here, and I would definitely return if I'm in the area! I should probably come here earlier though to avoid disappointment since their items seem to sell out fast. Vancouver needs more vegan places like this! read more

So excited that there is finally a plant based cafe in Langley and it did not disappoint. Beautiful interior and atmosphere, I think I found my favourite new local spot. I brought the meat eating hubby and he went with the grilled cheese and tomato soup and I tried to order the cheezy mac with kale Caesar but they were unfortunately sold out so I decided to be adventurous and tried the 'rotisserie chicken' Caesar wrap which had bacon tempeh and jackfruit. I've always been reluctant to try jackfruit as a meat alternative but I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. I loved everything we had including a marshmallow chocolate cookie. In fact it was so good we ordered a second one before we finished the first. After our meal I messaged all my friends to share this local gem. Their brunch is luxurious! You have to try the stuffed French toast and Tofu Benny. Our son loves the kids plate - I had to tell him to slow down before he inhaled the entire plate. My friend and I went to your restaurant for the first time. We really liked the decor and ambience. You did a beautiful job. However, the food was a bit of a disappointment to be honest. I had the mac and cheese with kale salad. The mac and cheese had no flavor and was lukewarm. The kale salad pretty much just tasted like kale as there was hardly any dressing on it and not much else as far as toppings go. My friend thought the burger was quite bland and the French fries were all stuck together. The amount of food seemed very small for the price as well. The homemade ketchup was fantastic though...very tasty :) I will add that we are not new to this way of eating and we have eaten at countless vegan restaurants in North America and in Europe, so our standards are probably higher than those of people new to plant based eating. Down 2 earth literally has the best owners and staff. They also have the most amazing food I've had at any restaurant. During covid they changed their menu weekly, which who does that?! How much work and care they put into it and it was all amazingly tasty! Their burger is my favourite of any veggie burger hands down. Their deserts are so yummy.
