What can I say about Rose and Tim that accurately captures my experience with them? I've been pondering this for a few weeks as I've worked on my ability to talk about my dog without having a breakdown. I initially reached out because my sister wanted to gift me with some professional photos of me and my soul dog, Champ, for Christmas. Rose responded to my inquiry almost immediately and we were taking about arranging a time for the shoot when Champ, at the age of 16, suddenly took a turn for the worse. I tearfully let Rose know that Champ wasn't going to make it to the weekend. The vet and I could only really count on making him comfortable for one night so that my Mom could be there for us as he went to sleep. Rose and Tim found time in their schedule to fit us in early. When they arrived it was like welcoming friends into my home and Champ was happy to see them and work with them as best he could in his condition. They were warm, kind, and understanding. Their warmth kept me from having a breakdown during the shoot and they caught some beautiful pictures of my best boy that really captured what a sweet soul he was. I will forever be grateful for these two. I have beautiful pictures that have been such a comfort while I'm grieving the loss of my best friend. I can't recommend these two enough. I used to think photography was simple, until I met true professionals. Tim and Rose take the time to get to know you and more specifically what feeling you want to capture before they get to a location. We have used this team for headshots and family photos and were delighted with the results. Furthermore, other family members have used them for their big day events. What impressed me is their ability to scout fun locations, as well as putting in time to get to know a recommended site. And funny! I had the awesome pleasure of being photo'd by Downeast Photographers this past weekend....and as someone who constantly finds a way to be the person taking the picture, I hate pictures of myself, unless it is one of the series of a thousand selfies from my own personal sesh, with all the: right angles, heavily filtered to my satisfaction for your, and my viewing pleasure...anyway, I forgot where I was going with this, Oh yes! These people are professionals. For someone who is struggling with MANY, MANY insecurities, that I will not point out on this forum, I'll save that for Instagram *ahem*, it was such a blessing to connect with photographers who were not only able to empathize, but were able to help me feel at ease with the camera in my face. Rose has an incredible eye and an incredible vision and I'm so honored to have been able to work with her and Tim. I now have beautiful images that will bring me smiles for a very long time, and I can bust out when my nephews want to see what I looked like "back in my day".
