Emily is truly amazing at what she does! She has a great eye for detail, is more than responsive/accommodating, and makes everyone feel comfortable/at ease. Our time in her lovely studio was fun for everyone, even my 7 year old daughter (whom she coaxed beautiful expressions out of vs the usual awkward kid smiles, lol). In addition to having a gorgeous selection of wardrobe for women/children, and a myriad of backgrounds/props, Emily even provided snacks, drinks, and entertainment to keep everyone happy during prep and between poses. If you have kids, you know how helpful that is towards having a good experience. We also so appreciated her safety precautions during these pandemic times, and thought them totally reasonable. I cannot sing high enough praises! The turnaround for the reveal of our photos was lighting fast, and she's very thoughtful in helping you decide what products will best suit your needs. Emily was not only a true professional, but her work is absolutely spectacular. She froze moments in time for us that are truly invaluable. As a photographer myself, I have the utmost respect for her talent behind the camera, but what impressed me the most was the incredible care she took with our two-week-old. The fireplace was glowing at the perfect temperature, she was unbelievably patient, and the beautiful poses she was able to create--and gently hold--were amazing. She's truly a baby whisperer! I'm SO happy I took a chance when I saw Elusive Photography's popup ad. I don't usually pull the trigger on something like this, but when I saw Emily's portfolio of pictures, I just knew she was the photographer I wanted to book for my kids' first professional photography shoot. Her Reverie pictures are otherworldly! So beautiful and imaginative and unlike any pictures I've ever seen before. She gave my 7 and 9 year old artistic license for their ideas (I loved that!), and because of that, the pictures came out amazing and better than we could have imagined! We've worked with Emily many times over the last 5 years and the memories of those days hang in every room of our house! Most recently we did a Studio shoot with our 3 kids (2 energetic boys, 6 & 4yo and an 18mo toddler - I mean COME ON what was I thinking). She is more prepared than you can ever imagine with extra clothes, toys, books, snacks, and her energy! Having Emily create portraits of our newborn is one of the BEST decisions we have ever made as a young (growing) family! Truly, she is a master at what she does, crafting photographs with carefully styled sets, swaddles, and props. All of these were thoughtfully curated by her after she tuned into our preferences and our baby's personality. She knew exactly how to work with our baby to achieve such sweet poses. I was so impressed by how patient and gentle she was with our daughter, while taking perfect shots. She was also incredibly respectful around our needs for privacy when it came to not showing our photos in her portfolio -- and they are fabulous photos, too. I can't say enough about Emily and what a wonderful experience we had! Emily photographed our 18 month old twins in her studio. I kept telling her it might take a little bit for them to warm up after getting there, but immediately the kids felt comfortable, were laughing and having a blast in her design studio and she was able to start photographing them right away! She had the most adorable wardrobe for them to use, some cute props and made us feel right at home. The end result was amazing... each and every photo captured their individual personalities perfectly! She provided same day reveal. We ended up ordering more than we thought we would because it was too hard to decide between all the amazing moments she captured. We were lucky enough to work with Emily twice in the past year. She was our wedding photographer and she took newborn photos of our daughter. Emily is so professional and kind. I was nervous for the newborn shoot because my baby was so young and we hadn't gone anywhere since bringing her home. Emily made me feel so relaxed in her studio. She was extremely good with calming the baby. My husband and I got a chance to sit back and enjoy some coffee while she did all the work. We chose Emily to shoot our wedding this past May and she was unbelievable! She was great to work with, and remembered all the special shots that we wanted. Had an amazing photo session with Emily, I actually won the session for free at an event and she was so gracious and really made it a special time for me and my dog. My dog has a lot of anxiety in new situations and sometimes around other dogs and I wasn't sure how well she would do with the outdoor photo session at Portland Head Light, but Emily really helped to calm both of our nerves and make it a relaxing and fun time!
