The bathrooms are on the front porch that is accessible by no overhang, there are 2 and half bathroom, half is just a urinal. It's not very handicap accessible. Our table was picnic table by the kitchen on the back porch. We couldn't see the party at the head table. There were no fans near us. The bar/ water station was a good walk. Bring a seat cushion since you're sitting on log benches. Let's talk about the crazy drive to find this place. We took the 1-49 directions which is a 2 lane road with no side for miles. Make sure you fill up with gas otherwise it's miles until you find a gas station. We went home via 1-69 which felt like a safe/less crazy road way. There are no street lights either. There is no wifi when on the property. The property grounds are well taken care of and nice. I couldn't image how the event would be able to take place if it was raining.

Seating indoors and outdoors for this wedding and dinner created intimate experience while affording plenty of space for mingling during cocktail hour. Definite connectivity between ceremony/cocktails/dinner/dancing. Small play area for kids and unique, discreet fairy theme was very cute. The only downside to this place is I live too far away to use it for my daughter's weddings!! Book this space it, is really special.

Due to the natural beauty of the barns interior, we didn't have to do a lot of decorating. We couldn't have been happier choosing this location for a new chapter in our lives. They also allow your own vendors for your event which is now to have that flexibility. There are few requirements that differ from other venues as this place is a registered historical site, but they are nothing major or very costly that makes or breaks your event. As a heads up, this place is rented out hourly so it's challenging to decorate for a wedding the same day of the event, but it can be done! We highly recommend this place!

The facility offers meeting and wedding space for up to 200ppl and can be booked through the City of Lenexa which keeps the cost affordable. We booked the wedding on a Friday evening which saved even more costs. Saturday weddings book a year out so you'll need to contact them early or camp out to book a spot with the City. Many images can be googled online to show you the facility's offerings. We didn't need to do much for decor as the facility is so clean and classy with brick walls, exposed beam ceiling in the main hall, a full kitchen, meeting rooms for the wedding party to get ready etc. An outdoor courtyard can be used for the ceremony also although it's along I-35 for traffic noise. We did experience problems with the set up, AV equipment and evening staffing but these issues were addressed satisfactorily when we brought them up to management. We'd definitely recommend this air conditioned barn to any bride and groom.

Just wow. Close this…read moreplace or get a manager. In short. A Sunday evening. Stopped in for a bit of food. And let's give the food the 3 stars it deserves. It was OK. Exactly what you would expect from any fast food place that turns over cooks as fast as it turns over burgers. But this is a restaurant. Yeah, it is a country-themed, big, and wooden hunting-style restaurant. With absolutely nothing Big, Hunted, or Country on the menu. There is no heart here. Just whatever you could pick up for quick reheating from Sysco or Costco. And service... well, the most service we received was when one person stopped by long enough to ask us if our server had been by to get our payment. When we told her no... she didn't take our payment... she just said, "it figures" and presumably told the kid waiting on us. After she finished what she was doing with her tables, of course. Moral of the story... just go somewhere else. It will be a long drive to get to the next place. But you will enjoy it more.

Menu was mostly classic midwest/southern fare (not my personal fav). We split the pretzels and queso appetizer - so good! My husband had the chicken fried steak with mashed potatos and broccoli. He enjoyed all of it, but found the roll very bland. It also came with a cup of the soup of the day or salad - soup was a white chicken chili which was surprisingly delicious! My dad had a hot beef sandwich, which he enjoyed. Mom had sliders and onion rings and brought some leftovers home. The onion rings were very tasty! Service was amazing, staff was very attentive. We were there during a lull between lunch and dinner and there were maybe 3-4 other tables. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves!
