It's not that different from any other service station, but it is the closest thing to a grocery in about 10 miles, which makes it important. Given the small population of Gilpin and the subsequent lack of grocery stores, it is very much necessary. Until Black Hawk figures out how to get an actual grocery store in town, this place will continue to factor highly into the lives of Gilpin residents, particularly those who do not pass through Nederland frequently.

He came the the vehicle and the pump wasn't working. I myself went back in explained what was going on out at the pump and she's like what pump gave her the number and she then tells me " Well the pump timed out so there's your reason" I told her dang that's pretty quick for him just coming out for it to timeout that quick and then she says well he purchased more stuff. But within maybe 6 maybe 7 mins of being in the store all together the "well that's because the pump timed out" . I've never experienced such horrible customer service!
