She never indicated that these were a separate purchase, leading us to believe they were included in the purchase. After installation, we found out the leaf guards were not installed and were told they were not included in the contract. When questioned about the misrepresentation in the sales presentation, we were offered a 30% discount if we wanted the leaf guards installed - an additional cost of $1,300. Feeling that the misrepresentation by the salesperson - whether unintentional or not - should have been covered by the company and not merely discounted by them, we cannot in good conscience fully recommend White Pine Renovation.

Lynne and her husband, John, came in with a VERY reasonable bid for a large bedroom, with heavily damaged drywall from the removal of wallpaper. One other bid was more than twice as much. They had advice on help choosing a paint color (design ladies at Douglas & Sons are great), and did an oustanding job repairing the drywall damage and painting the room. They were here two days and left me with a beautifully finished room. I'll be calling on them again when we redo our hall/stairwell later this year. They're also the nicest people to work with. Zach seems like a great guy. I hate to slam the job he did but so many things could have been…read more improved. Like finishing the job. The shower curtain door only had sealant on the bottom. The grout wasn't sealed. Water didn't bead and soaked right in. The shower control handle was mounted at an angle. I paid him around the 6th of January, he didn't start work until the 20th. There were several delays of wich some were the responsibility of my wife and myself, others were snow, flat tire, had to replace the brakes and had to replace a starter. I had to clean up after his crew everyday. Grout equipment had been cleaned in the bathroom sink causing a clog. He sent someone to run a snake down the pipe and that kid said (after I'd removed the trap and poured out sand) that the pipes were just rusty and it wasn't their fault at all. I had to clean up after him. By February 25, I gave up, sealed the grout, caulked around the shower door, filled in some holes and started working on the drywall. Update, March 7th. Zach was out of town when I posted the review. He did come over, review the room and agree with most of what I pointed out. He will send over folk to complete the bathroom and is being more than fair about it. Don't make the mistakes I made (not contacting him with problems or concerns) and I know you'll be satisfied with his work.
