These guys worked on my father's computer and they did a stand up job. They communicated well, were knowledgeable and kind.

I would leave a half a star if allowed, they only want to cater to large businesses and not help the blue collar hard-working businesses. I was traveling on business when my laptop CD RW drive failed. Its an old laptop, 2009. I explained I was in a bind. They made time to replace the CW RW drive and it has worked flawlessly for 90days. I'm send a co worker there today to buy a used computer. They earned my business. read more

This was my most recent experience with Downtown Computer...I took my computer in for, what seemed to be a simple repair... the first quote was $250. I agreed but when I called back that turned into over $400. The management tries very hard to please customers, and I applaud that effort.... after my first experience, I received a call after posting an honest review. The manager convinced me to change my post and offered me a pretty good deal. But the 2nd visit was even WORSE. The technician overtalked me and as stated, doubled the cost to repair. I picked up my computer (having to pay a service fee, even tho the computer was NOT FIXED). Subsequently I took my computer to a competitor where they offered the BEST DEAL ever. They fixed the computer, I received in-home repair services, a new anti-virus program, all for almost a third of what Downtown Computer was charging. I will NEVER go back to Downtown Computer and my advice is for management to provide customer service and sensitivity training... and provide better competitive pricing. read more

These guys are clueless! I was told a computer would be ready for pick up one afternoon. I sent an employee (who was still "on the clock") off to drive the 27 miles down to get it. The staff on duty couldn't find the computer-- my guy eventually had to go in back and identify it and found that it had not been put back together. I got make the long trip down the next day to pick it up, and they refused to give me a deduction from the bill for wasted staff time. Wish I could give 0 stars! read more

Called ahead about a Lenovo gaming computer charging adapter. Told was in stock. Drove 90 minutes 1 way to find out it was the wrong one (we were very specific with model # etc so this should never have happened). Told they would order. They kept computer so they could check adapter when it came in to make sure it worked. A week later called them since we had heard nothing from them. Told it was in so drove another 90 minutes 1 way to find out not only was it not in but it was never even ordered. Then to top it off they charged us $35 for "working" on it. NEVER will do business with again nor do I suggest you do. VERY unprofessional!!!!!! read more
