long story short my wife and I separated for about 6 months and a month before we got back together, she sold her engagement ring to downtown goldsmith. she told me that she had done so, and I asked her witch store. she told me and my search was on. I called the store; they were very helpful. after a couple of days, they called me and said they found it still in inventory. I went to the store the next day and pick it up they cleaned it and boxed it and sold it back to me for a lot less than what they could have got for it to anyone else. I surprised my wife that night and she started crying and couldn't believe it. I have had a few fantastic experiences with Downtown DeLand Goldsmiths. I had 2 Buck knives engraved , ON THE BLADE , as wedding gifts !! The bride and groom were brought to tears. That's the kind of service you can expect. When I needed a wedding band I knew who to see. Sure enough , they walked us through several ideas , we had a plan for the stone and a beautiful one was produced in a setting that is just magnificent. The price was great , everyone wins on this. This is an owner and his very knowledgeable Wife. They are great people who talk to you , learn what your wants are and make it happen. It's great to be able to have that relationship. They are , DeLand place for goldsmithing , jewels, engraving so good it's trusted do engrave the trophy for the Daytona 500 3 years running I believe. I brought mine and a friends AG Russell Sunfish knives in for engraving. Now , you can't buy those , anywhere, there are none on the secondary market. That is trust. This is a place you can trust with your family jewels! We had a diamond that we needed a new setting for and I couldn't be happier with the whole process working with them. They expertly helped me choose a setting and accent diamonds. During one conversation (of many), she said, "I was thinking about your ring last night, what if we..." Which just illustrates how much attention and thought that was put into it, that she was thinking about it after hours. They just wanted me to be happy with the finished product. Which I am! It is GORGEOUS! Best of all, we could trust who was handling the diamond that we already had. My mom and I both needed our rings brought down a size (mine is white gold, hers gold). They both turned out great, no sign of the modification. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
