Drove from Deland to get some watch batteries changed, I was quoted $80 which is a bit pricey but I was willing to part with it. I noticed he had two chairs inside so as I was getting my money out I asked "excuse me sir do you mind if I sit here?" And he said "You can't sit there that's for customers only" (newsflash if I'm giving you $80 to change batteries I'm a customer) so I grabbed my watches and went to the jewelry kiosk right next to his shop and got the same work done by a young man that was much nicer. The young man there changed the batteries in half the time that Mike said he'd be able to change them so if you're a little short on time, want some better customer service, and want to be treated as a valued customer I recommend just go to the kiosk and speak with them. From my experience they are far more helpful. read more

I've been to Mike's twice to have three watches repaired. A Bulova, a Movado and a Kenneth Cole. Must say my experiences couldn't have turned out better. I'd describe Mike as a bit eccentric but professional. Each time he has given me a receipt for the watches and a return time for pick up. He does good work at very affordable prices. I would give him an opportunity next time you need a watch repair or battery change. read more

Ruined my Watch!! This "watch repairman" destroyed one of the toughest watches on the market. A Casio G-Shock. I asked Mike of Mike's Watch Repair if he could replace the battery on my watch. After taking a look at it, and one would assume assesessing his own ability to replace the battery and maintain the integrity of a 200 meter waterproof watch, Mike said he could do the job. I have owned this watch for 5 years and had the battery replaced twice before this instance with no problems whatsoever. This is a G-Shock, they are bulletproof... Unless someone as inept as Mike at Mike's Watch Repair replces the battery! I went to the beach one day after having the battery replaced by Mike at Mike's Watch Repair. Went into the water no deeper than 4 feet. Back on the beach, I looked at my watch to check the time and all I see is moisture under the crystal. When I took the G-Shock back to Mike, he wanted to explain to me that "the watch is old and that obviosly the seal around the crystal is bad" I have owned several G-Shock watches and have had batteries replaced multiple times on all of them. Never once has a seal on the crystal failed. I have seen the rubber cases and straps dry rot before the watch itself fails. Mike is a liar and should be embarrassed to have given me that answer. He should have offered to pay me the value of my watch because obviously his ineptitude at placing the gasket appropriately when replacing the battery is what caused the watch to be ruined. He has refused to make amends on the cost of the watch, but gave me my $17.00 back. read more

My good friend works there and he fixed my favorite watch that means the most to me it was my first one iv had since I was 16 I'm 19 now so it's 3 years old and it looks brand new but I didn't even ask him to clean it up he just did :) plus he replaced the battery and fixed the little screw thing on the side where it broke. 1-7-21 I took my Seiko watch to Mike's after it had been dropped shattering the inside of the crystal. There was a lot of small pieces and dust inside the watch but the exterior was scratched but intact. I showed it to Mike and he was very abrupt saying he could fix it and I could pick it up tomorrow. I asked if he did not need to order the crystal and he said he had one. I asked if it would require additional cleaning since the debris was inside the watch. He said he would take care of it, it would be $40 and would be ready tomorrow. After reading all of the glowing reviews I thought this would be great. He said he would call when it was ready, he did not. I called him at 4pm, gave him my ticket number and he said it was ready. I went to the mall and paid him $40 dollars, he gave me the watch in a baggie and said something about going on Amazon and coming back. I have poor hearing and he has a strong accent so communication is not the best. I left and examined the watch closer when I got to my car. The crystal was not at all what I expected. It appears to be a cheap plastic that he had ground the edges to make it fit. I believe he must have been telling me to go order the correct one on Amazon and bring it back and he would install it. I checked the time and the next morning it was three hours off. It cost me $40 dollars to be able to warn others not to use this business. I could go back and argue the point but I think it is a lost cause. read more
