Karla Brown indeed has her office Downtown in a pretty interesting antique mall. But her real place of business is on the roads of Natchez. It is in her large and comfortable van that she spins her tales of the history of Natchez, tells about ghosts and spirits, and visits the grave of its most beloved cat (the esteemed Tripod). She has a variety of tours to suit your interests. Ghost tours are evening affairs and visit the famous Natchez Cemetery. History tours occur during the day, and visit points of interest. Ms. Brown is very personable and you will immediately feel comfortable with her. She has a wealth of knowledge to share with the visitors, and is indeed happy to do so. The comfortable driving tour is a good way to learn about Natchez and see a variety of locations. They range from a hour and a half to about three hours. The pricing is very reasonable for this type of guided tour, and we all enjoyed our time with Ms. Brown. read more

It is obvious, the minute that you meet Karla that she loves this town and by the time the tour is complete you will love Natchez even more. Such an interesting small town with both good and bad history (like all towns). But it is truly unique and you end the tour wanting to buy local books to learn even more about this fascinating place. I'll be honest and say that I thought this tour was a little sketchy at first but once it got started it was nice. I would say that this is more of a "ghost TOWN tour." The tour guide talks more about the history of the town and what used to be. It was a great tour, the only thing "creepy" was at the very end where we went into the old jail. The only reason I give this 4/5 instead of 5/5 is because we were expecting it to be more of a haunted aspect of the town. It's great if you're wanting to know more about the history of Natchez. Our tour guide definitely accommodated for our group. We called earlier that day and she said she was booked. I told her that it was our last day in Natchez and she let us drive our own vehicle and listen to her tell the stories over a phone call with a discounted price for the inconvenience. She was very passionate about the town she loves and wanted us to be able to experience it with her. read more

Natchez, MS, Tuesday (Covid19 Timing) Opps‼ Most landmarks were closed until the weekend. I left messages in more than one spot asking about tours. We had popped into town with only our housing reservations, thinking that we would hop onto a tour and "see Natchez". Not so. Since the Pandemic, almost everything now opens only on the weekend. Karla would pick us up at our rental cottage and show us all of Natchez, or just the parts we read about in the Greg Ile's best-selling books.. We wanted it all and we got it! My 14 year old daughter and I came to Natchez for a girls weekend and the Spooky tour was our first stop- My daughter, whom is highly autistic and normally very introverted was set immediately at ease by Ms Karla- it was the most social I have ever seen her with strangers. Horrible tour guide who tells dirty jokes and will only take You by a house with junk On its porch and a cemetery not kidding! Save yourself time And money and thank Me later but never go to this town. They hate tourists, it's a run down dump like a horror movie. We were used To Charleston and god we were let down. Downtown Karla Brown is a unique individual with an amazing life story. I went on her Natchez Ghost Tour and thought it was excellent. We went to the old Natchez Jail and visited death row as well as the old cells. We found orbs in our pictures and spoke with a parapsychology who was studying the location. He had a picture of a shadow person in the jail! We had been in Natchez 4 days and the tour took us to places we had not seen (or overlooked). Karla was informative and entertaining. Absolutely amazing!! My friends and I went to Natchez for a girls' trip and wanted a ghost tour!! Found Karla and she had the most unique and interesting stories! It was not just her saying "this was built in 1809". It was more like "this man was buried upright in his rocking chair". She knew so much information!
