While the final outcome was achieved, the process over approximately 2.5 years was marked by persistent communication failures and lack of transparency. Key issues I experienced: Lack of attorney communication: I did not receive direct responses from my assigned attorney (Eleazar D. Kim #297876) despite numerous emails and calls over many months. Repeated follow-ups required: Basic status updates required multiple emails and calls, often with no response or delayed responses. Inconsistent information: I received conflicting explanations from different staff members regarding settlement terms and process details. Limited access to knowledgeable staff: Most updates came from support staff who often did not have specific information about my case. Settlement clarity issues: I had to repeatedly request written breakdowns and explanations of the financial terms before receiving clear information. Delays post-settlement execution: After signing the agreement, there were extended delays with little visibility into the status of surrender and payment. To be fair, certain individuals on the team eventually stepped in to help move the process forward, and the matter was ultimately resolved with a completed surrender and payment. However, the path to resolution required significant persistence on my part. I am also aware of publicly reported concerns involving affiliated or related entities, which, combined with my experience, made the lack of communication and clarity even more concerning. This experience fell well short of what I would expect in terms of communication, responsiveness, and client service.

Long overdue update…read more Quick caveat, I lease my cars and intend to keep them for 3 years, but occasionally life gives you lemons and CLLA helps you turn them into lemonade. Since my original review in 2017, they have actually settled two different issues for me. Reminder that these buyback settlements usually include some kind of NDA so I'll keep it vague. The lease that replaced the buyback from my original review was a good car but had several small but nagging issues they couldn't resolve. CLLA was able to negotiate a "cash-and-keep" where I completed and returned the lease, but received a settlement check that more than covered the inconvenience. The following lease was flawless and actually bought-out at the end for a family member, and they still love it. The lease after that, a 2023, was nothing but software problems: not shifting into park (which is now electronic), problems with the safety systems over-alerting or just going offline (usually 1hr+ into a road trip). After about 3 months of negotiations, the manufacturer wanted me to do a cash-and-keep, but I didn't feel the car was safe. CLLA (Jeeho) was incredibly supportive of whatever I wanted to do. During that round of negotiations I held-off taking the car in again, since every time they did a software update and claimed it should fix the issues, but it either didn't fix those issues or traded them for another. With my attorney's support, and coordination with my Service Advisor, I took the car in again, the dealership had it for three weeks and found no issues (I reproduced them the day I got it back). Jeeho went back to their attorneys and persuaded them to buy that car back. Believe it or not, I ended up leasing a car from the same brand. Before I did, I asked Jeeho if I was crazy and he assured me they see very few issues with that brand. I'm very happy with the current lease so far, but I'm even happier with the results CLLA has been able to get when something has gone wrong and manufacturer is unable or unwilling to diagnose/resolve that issue. Based on the ordinary meaning of that term, I expected to speak with an attorney regarding the facts of my potential case and have an opportunity to ask questions. Instead, I spent approximately an hour with an intake representative named Jessica answering a lengthy series of scripted questions. While I understand the need for an intake process, the interaction felt more like data collection than a consultation. Any questions I had about my case could not be answered because I was not speaking with an attorney. What I experienced did not match my understanding of a consultation. The appointment consisted entirely of me providing information and answering questions, without any discussion with an attorney or opportunity to receive feedback about my situation. Following the intake, I was asked to provide additional documentation, which I promptly submitted, including Right-to-Sue notices from both the EEOC and California Civil Rights Department, along with other requested records. After providing the requested documents, my case was ultimately declined. When I inquired about the reason for the decision, I was told that the attorney did not provide one. I was also never informed which attorney reviewed my matter, so I do not know whether one or both attorneys evaluated the case. What disappointed me most was not that the firm declined the case, but that after investing significant time, providing detailed information, and submitting the exact documents requested, no meaningful explanation was provided. Individuals seeking employment counsel are often dealing with job loss, financial uncertainty, and significant emotional stress. Taking a few moments to provide some level of feedback or context would demonstrate a degree of professionalism and empathy that was absent from my experience. As a result, I left the process with essentially the same understanding of my case that I had before the intake call, despite spending approximately an hour providing detailed information and then gathering and submitting the documents the firm requested. Jessica was professional and courteous throughout the interaction. My concern is not with the intake staff, but with how the process is presented. They did all that they could so that I solely could focus on my recovery. But It's currently 2026, so why am I writing this now? Let me explain. A year after my settlement was completed, I was getting mysterious calls for collections for my ambulance ride. However, the bill was never sent to me to verify the debt. Michael assured to me that the paperwork they sent was not the right paperwork to verify. But me being skeptical was still afraid and overly cautious because I'm a person who pays all his debts, and didn't want my credit score affected. So Michael suggested that he can hold some of the settlement money as a "just in case" fund until the statutes of limitations expire. I think I can say that for any normal person, this would also seem to be a kind of sticky situation to take on as an alternative, right? Because this agreement requires trust. But in the end his team wrote a contract and I agreed and signed to hold the money. Now to why I'm writing this now; it has been years past since the settlement. To the point where I forgot the statute of limitations timeline. I was contacted by Michael late December of 2025 to schedule an appointment first week after the new year. It was our final appointment and I just received the last portion of my settlement that I forgot about! So trust was definitely earned and received. Excellent customer service.

Mr. Valero helped me identify a recent recall going into effect for my issue and by May 28th, 2026, he was able to get Jaguar Land Rover North America to cover my prior costs entirely. I truly didn't think I would ever receive any compensation for this issue but thought I would give Mr. Valero a shot and I'm very glad I did. Even after starting the process with him I figured it would take several long months before finding any resolution -- never did I imagine he would have this taken care of within a matter of weeks! I give this firm a 5 star rating for professionalism and integrity. They have won me a lot of money to be straight forward if I may. They only problem I have is the communication with the people that answers the phones. It seems as if they can't speak proper English. And it's hard trying to converse with someone that seem like they're not understanding what u saying or you can barely make out what they're saying . It's a language barrier and it's extremely frustrating.. if they had someone that answer these phones that can speak clear proper English it will be no issues with this firm whatsoever. Like I said the lawyers are A1. And I'll trust this firm before any other on any given day. But the process of speaking with someone that speaking broken English. Is a hassle. I'm beyond disappointed with my experience with DTLA Law Group. I reached out after being hospitalized due to mold exposure from a previous apartment. This was a serious health issue, not something minor. Instead of support or guidance, they made me dig through endless emails and submit a ridiculous amount of photos and documentation, only to respond with rude, condescending, and demanding communication. After all of that, they basically disappeared. No follow up, no updates, just silence. Then I was passed off to another attorney, Lorena Corrales, which made things worse. Once it became clear that I am mixed Latino and Caucasian, her attitude changed and she stopped helping. It felt dismissive and discriminatory, and it was completely unacceptable. If you are dealing with something serious and need real legal support, I would strongly recommend going elsewhere. While I was a student at UCLA, I was rear ended by a driver who wasn't paying attention. I drive a Jeep Wrangler with a heavy duty bumper, so at first glance it didn't look like there was much damage. Unfortunately, my back told a different story. After the accident I spoke with a few attorneys, but most of the conversations felt rushed and impersonal. Then I spoke with Michael, and right away I could tell he actually cared about the details of my situation rather than treating me like another case file. What impressed me most was the result he was able to get for me. The settlement covered my medical expenses, the damage to my vehicle, the time I missed from work, and then some. I remember being genuinely surprised by how much he was able to recover on my behalf. Throughout the process, communication was excellent. Whenever I had questions, I received clear answers, and I always felt like I knew what was going on with my case. I had a consultation in end of May/June of this year and filled out some forms for a potential…read morecase. I hadn't heard from them so I thought I would check in now mid July. Turns out the person I was working with is no longer with the company and they won't take my case now. Trying to figure out what's going on and to talk to someone has been an ordeal. I have gotten two emails telling me that I need to contact another lawyer and better hurry up because time is limited. It would have been nice if someone would have contacted me directly and explained the situation in more detail. Not really sure what was going on with them. Was employee turnaround the reason why? Not good with customer service, follow up and professionalism.

Instead of taking accountability for continued and unwanted communications for 3 consecutive years that I view as harassments - I believe her response is aggressive, defensive, manipulative, ridiculous and highly revealing. Based on my experiences, this is another example of Amy Vahdat's DARVO responses in addition to my experience explained below. This review is what I believe to be true based on my experiences, opinions and impressions. Truth about experiences are protected by law. Retaliation and harassments, however, are ILLEGAL - especially after I have repeatedly asked to cease communications. I've been beyond clear numerous times to cease contacting me - yet V&A Law Firm has continued to contact me for 3 consecutive years on my birthdays causing continued, repeated and tremendous emotional distress. At this point, I will seek therapy due of the tremendous effect these repeated and unwanted communications have had on me. I believe Amy Vahdat has now continued what I view as DARVO even about these repeated and unwanted communications which I have direct evidence for. To reiterate: I never received birthday emails before I wrote a review. 1. I received communication through LinkedIn with certain details which I viewed as harassment within 3 hours after writing a Yelp review in 2024. 2. I sent a Cease and Desist letter to Amy Vahdat, Rodney Yashouafar, another attorney who works with them and her ex partner. 3. I further told Amy Vahdat to stop harassing me in emails after she repeatedly demanded that I remove the Yelp review. 4. Then she said to stop harassing her and her ex partner. She also falsely accused me of lying when I only stated truth and I FIRMLY stand by every single statement I've made about everyone. I also have emails, texts and witnesses to support my statements. 5. She threatened me with calling authorities and a lawsuit after I simply responded to her demanding emails and refused to remove the review. 6. Again, I asked her to stop harassing me. 7. I received a notification from a highly inappropriate website within 30 minutes after her last email notifying me that an account had been created with my personal information. 8. I was contacted 2 weeks later by V&A Law Firm wishing me a Happy Birthday for the first time even though they had never sent me one before. 9. I was beyond clear that these birthday emails were unwanted in my initial review. I even wrote a blog and reiterated how I viewed the email as unwanted communications and continued harassments. 10. Their first email did not have an unsubscribe option. I have direct proof. 11. Their second email last year had an unsubscribe option and I opted out. I have screenshots. 12. V&A Law Firm contacted me again this year with yet another unwanted birthday email communication that, in my opinion and based on my repeated experiences, appeared intended to further annoy and harass. This feels incredibly intrusive and harassing especially that I have significant injuries which they know about since they worked on my case. Original Review: I believe this is THE WORST personal injury law firm. I believe they were neglectful with my case and I had to stop working with them because of it. Additionally, based on my experiences I believe they have been harassing me year after year after I wrote a Yelp review. Amy Vahdat started harassing me in her emails demanding that I remove the review. I didn't remove the review and told her in my emails to stop harassing me. Then, in my opinion, she used DARVO in an attempt to turn tables. Additionally, V&A Law Firm started sending me unsolicited Happy Birthday emails approximately 2 weeks later even though I had made clear in to cease contact and to stop harassing me. Additionally, I noted in the review and a blog that I consider this harassment. V&A Law Firm contacted me on my birthday against my consent in 2024 at 8:00 AM on a Saturday, in 2025 at 8:01 AM on a Sunday and yet again in 2026 at 11:02 AM. I have experienced all these as highly intrusive, harassing and bullying. I believe an attorney with integrity would not keep contacting a former client especially on her birthdays against her consent. The previous review stopped showing on their main Yelp page shortly after I wrote it and this one is also not showing and doesn't reflect in their rating. It's showing under Not Recommended section. I wonder what the reason is. I'm taking legal actions due to their repeated and unwanted communications for 3 consecutive years, which based on my repeated experiences, appear intended to annoy and harass. In my view, these continued and unwanted communications specifically on my birthdays year after year are because I have simply exercised Freedom of Speech sharing my experiences with the public.
