When we were done with the evening, we hopped on the events streetcar and were entertained by the lovely notes of Adriana Nevarez. She sang a variety of songs for the occasion. It was pretty awesome. Liz and the kids were dancing, I got into it as well. We were distracted with the Nevarez tunes, but I know that the Wi-Fi was up, if I needed it The streetcar was clean and the riders were super respectful - all there for a good time. Told me to arrive early, which I did, so I wouldn't miss it. If bus isn't going to stop long for you to get on nor wait at stop until its scheduled time, and if customer service is going to blame the rider for missing the bus then I'll choose not to use this service anymore. So much for being a public good.

Customer service: Not that good. There was one lady at the main counter to give tickets so there was a wait. There could've been a much longer wait if there were more than two people in line though. She wasn't straight up rude, but she was definitely in a hurry and wanted to move us along. She also wasn't helpful at all when we needed guidance about how to travel appropriately. There also was literally no one around to help us when we were confused except the lady at the counter. Facility: The facility was decently cleaned. There were crumbs, rocks, and soda spills but nothing else too big. The trash cans weren't full which is a plus. They had a good amount of seats so that almost everyone could sit. It was very convenient that they had a lot of TVs that we could watch playing CNN. They had a decent game room for kids and a food station. Overall, it was a subpar experience but I wasn't expecting anything more from a bus terminal. This place needs better customer service, or at least someone around to help people who are confused. The facility is okay, a little dirty, but has some TVs and a game room.

Now Ms. Pena is here from Cuba, She arrived in 2023 & was given asylum paperwork, a work permit, & a future court date. She was traveling just fine & made it all the way to St Louis bus terminal & boarded a transfer bus to Dallas. After arriving in Dallas she needed to transfer again to another bus to El Paso. Well between St Louis & Dallas they make multiple quick pick up spots usually 15 or 30 minute stops. At one of the stops armed ICE Agents boarded the bus & told the bus driver they were performing a ID check. Then proceeded to ask random people for their Identification. upon removing a couple of people already, Ms. Pena showed the officers her paperwork, then they removed her off the bus & sent her to a detention facility & now nobody knows where she is. 1. Why is a Grayhound bus driver allowing ICE agents on a bus just to perform random ID checks without a warrant. This is illegal, there is no probable cause. Especially in the middle of the united states, nowhere near a border city or town. Ms. Pena is a caregiver, not a criminal. My advise do not take a Grayhound bus anywhere, they are working with immigration at major bus stations all throughout the US & allowing ICE to board buses at random places with no warning & without warrants and just taking people off & disappearing them. Very disappointed with Grayhound.

I haven't ridden a whole lot of public transportation since living in El Paso, but I do now ride…read morethe UTEP Shuttle on a daily basis. Obviously this shuttle says around the UTEP campus so if you have to park around the Don Haskins center or the end of Sun Bowl Drive, but you need to get to the center of the campus, you can hop on any of the buses and you'll be there in about 10ish minutes. There are four different routes (West, East, Campus Loop, and Campbell) so consult the map and bus routes if you're trying to get dropped of as close as possible to your destination. All of the drivers are nice, but some are better than others. My biggest complaint is about half of the drivers are too quick and too hard on the brake. This is super sucky when you're stuck standing (which happens a lot on the West shuttle). They do have larger shuttles that tend to have enough room for everyone to sit. Definitely the fastest mode of transportation if you're coming from the outskirts of UTEP. There's only about a 5-10 minute wait between each shuttle. And really anyone can take the shuttle, oh and it's free (so you know... its for me).

Buses operate in both directions during the early morning and in the afternoon as this is intended for commuters. However, the bus might be worth utilizing for a day trip if the timetable works for you. Took a trip from Downtown El Paso to Las Cruces. The fare for the ride is cheaper than driving as it is $3 one-way for the 45 mile commute. The ride takes a little over 1 hour and was a smooth commute. It was not crowded either. There is one stop between the cities in Anthony, which is located near the New Mexico-Texas border. The buses used are tour-style buses. No Wi-Fi on the bus, but I saw a power plug onboard to charge. If the timetable works, I would recommend this service as a cheap way to travel between El Paso and Las Cruces in ease.

Luckily I found Intermex and these guys were able to accommodate me within minutes. Our trip to Houston was amazing & the drivers friendly. Thanks again for making our annual trip run smooth.
