As a millennial, it is very important to me to feel nostalgic about things that I never experienced, so I took the needle off my vinyl record, prepared my typewriter to draft a Yelp review, and set to travel down memory lane on the brand-new classic El Paso Streetcar! And what a nifty ride it is! It is a leisurely trip through downtown and uptown El Paso with stops in the Cincinnati area, UTEP, the hospitals, EPCC, Southwest University Park, the main library, the bridge, and all the historic sites in between. It's definitely a cool experience, the cars themselves look great and are modernly fitted inside. So grab a nickel (and an extra $1.45) and check out the El Paso Streetcar! (Just don't be in a hurry)

Most of the stands were closed and it was dark and depressing. They took us to Juan Gabriel's house so that was pretty cool. My favorite part was the museum and the burritos! They started by picking us up at one of 5 stops at the hotels around the consulate between 10am and 11am starting at City Express Jr. Ciudad Juarez Consulado. Expect this to take about 45 minutes. Flor, our guide, was super friendly and very knowledgeable about the area. We drove around downtown in the open air bus while she explained about local history. We visited the Cathedral, the home of Juan Gabriel, the Museum of the Mexican Revolution, went to a market full of Mexican artesanía, had lunch, and got to taste Sotol, a local liquor. There were other small stops as well. The Archeological Museum was closed today, but that is normally on the agenda too. The tour takes from about 10am to 5pm, and is super reasonably priced at 140 pesos!!! Thank you Turibus for a great day, and for changing our opinion and our experience of Ciudad. Juarez!

Before we left I used the restroom and it did not have water to was hands. I was informed by host (Tony) he had "germ x" if needed. The ride from the time we left felt as if we were on a roller-coaster. I was unable to get up to use the restroom or stretch my legs because the ride was dangerously unstable. One of my accompanied friends did go to restroom and ended up hitting her head and unable to balance herself (she has a previous neck surgery with pins attached). I am recovering from shoulder/arm surgery 6 weeks so didn't want to take a chance of getting up. We finally stopped right before albq. For 10 min. The host sat down and never got up for any announcements or gave us information as to events or things to do and see. Only what time to board. Upon arrival at our destination Santa Fe it took me and friend 3 hours (lost) to be given a room (that was supposed to be arranged by the tour as all was paid for). One of the person's in same room (name on room) did not attend due to medical reasons). This friend called the company person Sandy to cancel. Yet Sandy knew the names and person's in the same room. Yet the hotel refused to give us the room because Sandy never informed hotel of the change. The host called Sandy until he got hold of her while I was informed unless my friend transferred room to me it was impossible and there were no more rooms available . I continously called friend until I did get in contact because of her medical issues. Not to mention the hotel manager and staff were extremely rude and disrespectful. After an awful ride to the destination we still had to put up with the hotel issues until a room was found. To find out in the evening room 2201 sliding door that lead to the grounds did not lock i took video of this. Due to the lateness and room issues we decided to pray and put chairs fir safety in hopes no one would cone in. We had to carry our valuables throughout the stay. My other friends room was supposed to have double beds and was given one bed. This also took time toget as the host exchanged rooms with my friend . Again in Santa Fe the host did not make no announcements as to what a tour guide would do just sat down. My mechanic friend informed driver the bus tires looked over inflated. So the trip on day of return was somewhat less of roller-coaster. However, it was pouring rain all the way home and driver had to open his windows , drive with one hand, and use other to wipe windshield with his jacket while driving. Talk about major safety issues. In T&C stopped and not raining. A relative of host and driver bought driver a blanket to continue wiping windshield while driving. On the road back from Santa Fe water seeped inside the bus from the rain, even leaking from the top inside. Dont know if it would have been a pleasurable trip if a bigger, more equipped, and better serviced bus used. But it wasn't and trip was horrible like a scene out of a movie. After prayers from me and many on board we arrived safely. So a warning to all you go at your own risk!!!

Customer service: Not that good. There was one lady at the main counter to give tickets so there was a wait. There could've been a much longer wait if there were more than two people in line though. She wasn't straight up rude, but she was definitely in a hurry and wanted to move us along. She also wasn't helpful at all when we needed guidance about how to travel appropriately. There also was literally no one around to help us when we were confused except the lady at the counter. Facility: The facility was decently cleaned. There were crumbs, rocks, and soda spills but nothing else too big. The trash cans weren't full which is a plus. They had a good amount of seats so that almost everyone could sit. It was very convenient that they had a lot of TVs that we could watch playing CNN. They had a decent game room for kids and a food station. Overall, it was a subpar experience but I wasn't expecting anything more from a bus terminal. This place needs better customer service, or at least someone around to help people who are confused. The facility is okay, a little dirty, but has some TVs and a game room.

DONT TRUST GRAYHOUND FOR SAFE TRAVEL. My name is Wm…read moreBissell, We bought a ticket for our family friend to go from Harrisburg, PA. to El Paso Tx. ( Booking Number 329 582 1507 ). Now Ms. Pena is here from Cuba, She arrived in 2023 & was given asylum paperwork, a work permit, & a future court date. She was traveling just fine & made it all the way to St Louis bus terminal & boarded a transfer bus to Dallas. After arriving in Dallas she needed to transfer again to another bus to El Paso. Well between St Louis & Dallas they make multiple quick pick up spots usually 15 or 30 minute stops. At one of the stops armed ICE Agents boarded the bus & told the bus driver they were performing a ID check. Then proceeded to ask random people for their Identification. upon removing a couple of people already, Ms. Pena showed the officers her paperwork, then they removed her off the bus & sent her to a detention facility & now nobody knows where she is. 1. Why is a Grayhound bus driver allowing ICE agents on a bus just to perform random ID checks without a warrant. This is illegal, there is no probable cause. Especially in the middle of the united states, nowhere near a border city or town. Ms. Pena is a caregiver, not a criminal. My advise do not take a Grayhound bus anywhere, they are working with immigration at major bus stations all throughout the US & allowing ICE to board buses at random places with no warning & without warrants and just taking people off & disappearing them. Very disappointed with Grayhound.

Obviously this shuttle says around the UTEP campus so if you have to park around the Don Haskins center or the end of Sun Bowl Drive, but you need to get to the center of the campus, you can hop on any of the buses and you'll be there in about 10ish minutes. There are four different routes (West, East, Campus Loop, and Campbell) so consult the map and bus routes if you're trying to get dropped of as close as possible to your destination. All of the drivers are nice, but some are better than others. My biggest complaint is about half of the drivers are too quick and too hard on the brake. This is super sucky when you're stuck standing (which happens a lot on the West shuttle). They do have larger shuttles that tend to have enough room for everyone to sit. Definitely the fastest mode of transportation if you're coming from the outskirts of UTEP. There's only about a 5-10 minute wait between each shuttle. And really anyone can take the shuttle, oh and it's free (so you know... its for me).
