We went to recharge our Tesla so walked across the street to DQ. Clean bathrooms, fast service same great ice cream, nice folks

I was going to buy either a snack or a blizzard to go while traveling from Atlanta to Orlando during the last week of December 2020. After seeing the long line of customers that wasn't moving and the overall dirtiness of the restaurant, I decided to not get anything to eat. I chose to use the restroom here. This was the dirtiest restroom I encountered at any time during my roundtrip road trip! Good thing I only had to do #1! No paper towels were available in the restroom either. On an interesting note, there is a huge cow statue standing near the edge of the parking lot under the Chevron and DQ signs. This didn't motivate me to increase my rating of this DQ. read more

The restaurant itself smells bad but I didn't really mind. However, we ordered the food and made it VERY clear that the kids meal burger should not include cheese/dairy, and we also asked for applesauce. We received a CHEESEburger with fries. Now we have a hungry child on a roadtrip with a few hours to go. I usually don't leave complaints because I think everyone tries their best but this service was laughable. Food was Fresh! Cashier Sabrina was rude. She gave my order to another customer and then brought out my food later with the wrong sauce. She asked if I had honey mustard, I replied and said buffalo while on my phone. She comes back out with tenders that has BBQ sauce on them. I told her that's not my order, she replied with I thought you told me BBQ, I could have just changed the sauce. She walked away and as she is going around the corner, she rolls her eyes. I could hear her in the kitchen saying I asked her and she was on the phone. First of all, when I placed my order I wasn't on the phone. Yes I took a call as I waited for my food. It was even after she gave my order away. However there was no reason for me not to be on my phone. Check the order and give it to the right customer. While I was eating my food finally I saw the other employee (white girl) probably the drive thru cashier, holding an order and say once "ma'am" the lady didn't turn around and she huffed and slammed the box on the counter. The staff has bad attitudes and bad customer service. read more

Two stars because the food was hot and acceptable. -3 stars because the front was dirty and we only found one table that was somewhat clean, the service had issues, and the bathroom was DISGUSTING. The lady making ice cream desserts didn't acknowledge anyone that came in the door. The cook had to come up front to take orders and appeared annoyed she had to take care of both. The cook was very polite while taking our order however. The lady making the desserts and ignoring customers walking through the door moved at a snails pace. I saved the worst for last. The men's bathroom clearly had a drain issue because it smelled like the septic system had been venting into the room for at least a week. It really helped get my appetite going. The sink looked like all of the local car mechanics stopped there to wash the car grease and filth off of their hands and no one at the store thought it would be a good idea to degrease or clean the sink. It was a white sink but colored dark grey due to the grease film. I see the manager is actively replying to reviews but hasn't done anything to fix the cleanliness issues. This appeared to be the least clean Dairy Queen I have ever been to. I'm genuinely surprised there aren't more food safety issues reported if the back of the restaurant looks anything like the front. WORST DAIRY QUEEN EVER!! They have a sign on the door that there are no restrooms, they are in the hall, then when you go to the hall the womens restroom is out of order and the men's is disgusting. I wouldn't buy gas or eat at the Dairy Queen. When I tried to talk to the manager, Janell, she said she doesn't have a problem with that! I would avoid this place all together. Dairy Queen has lost me as a customer across the board. This place has been without a bathroom for years. I can't believe the health department has let this disgusting place slide. Why give them a single dollar if they can't offer any kind of hospitality for their customers? I wanted to buy ice cream for my grandchildren and myself, that's why we stopped. This Dairy Queen was disgustingly filthy!!! We stopped here because it was always one of our sons favorite Dairy Queen's because Of the large cow out front. We were disappointed that the cow is now gone but even more disappointed with cleanliness or lack of cleanliness at this restaurant. The front door was so dirty you could barely see through it. Every trash can was overflowing! The sinks in the bathroom looked like they hadn't been cleaned in months. After we left my husband and I are praying we don't get sick from the food!! If the kitchen follow suits with the rest of the restaurant we may be in trouble. The only positive I can comment on is the cashier was very friendly. The manager /owner should be embarrassed to be running an establishment in this condition. read more

The food was very good. There was also a gas station near it which was very convenient. The reason am giving it a three star review was because nobody was wearing a mask. Even the workers were not wearing one. If they would've worn masks I would've given it a higher review. If you want to go to a place where people wear masks I would not recommend this Dairy Queen. First of all, I had very low expectations since this was a middle-of-nowhere DQ attached to a gas station. I stopped by to use the restroom and get a milkshake for the road. There weren't too many folks there, but there was only (2) visible workers, one in the back & one at the cashier. When I ordered my milkshake, the cashier said, "Hmm-UNHH." I said, "...but why not?" Service that can only be described as soporific. All the help seems to be wandering around in a daze. Very dirty inside and outside. I ordered a chicken club sandwich, and the chicken was really overcooked and dry, and the sandwich itself was saturated with mayonnaise, dripping out of all sides. It had so much mayonnaise that the taste of it overwhelmed everything else. When I complained to the cashier, she motioned to the cook, who then came out from behind the kitchen area counter, and fixing me with a glare, spat out, "Whatsa matter?" I told her about the surfeit of mayonnaise, and she looked at me like I was insane, and told me that all the store's customers liked a lot of mayonnaise on their sandwiches, and so did she. Now I'm getting anger from both of these young women, washing over me in waves - they don't like being told they might have done something wrong, or, how to do something right, it's obvious they both have some oppositional defiance issues going on here, and I, somehow, in this brief moment, represent the crystallization of everything they feel has held them back in this world. At this point, I realized anything I said was not going to move the needle in this situation. Two surly young women, both with bovine-like intelligence, that hate their customers, their jobs, and probably their lives as well? And I'm going to change their bad behavior? Doubtful... What kind of Dairy Queen in Georgia lacks sweet tea?! Although it may be a corporate decision, the absence of honey mustard dipping sauce for the chicken tenders didn't sit well with my wife either. No drive-through, even though it's close enough to I-75 that Granny could throw her teeth clear over to the other side. And not nearly enough nearby parking on a freezing-cold night, though there's loads of spaces that are a bit of a hike from the front door. I must be getting soft in my old age. The food is decent, but the service is lackluster. The owner also works the register and will then jump back to the food line with no apparent washing of the hands. I have never gotten sick here although I thought I might. Stick with burgers, chicken strips, and fries. They do not offer jalitos (those fried Jalepenos) and they do not offer gravy as a dipping sauce. The blizzards are NOT the normal experience. If you go for a butterfinger blizzard you will be ok, but don't get any specialty blizzards. Any blizzards with fruit or cheesecake will have frozen fruit and cheesecake (not the normal kind at other dairy queens) in them, and it is not tasty. Also, the owner has a picture of whatever god he worships right above the door which is a turn off to many. read more

One of the machines was broke so instead of ordering food we left. Two spots on the roof are broke. And jutting out. The light in the men's bathroom was out so I could barely see when I went in. The women's bathroom had no paper towels and one of them was disgusting so there was a long line waiting for the stall that was cleanish. Giving this place one star is generous. We walked in and the first thing I noticed was the long line, one cashier and one person filling the orders. We finally got to the counter and began our order. We were told immediately that they could not make any sandwiches or burgers because they had no bread of any kind. No burgers at a burger joint! I have read the numerous reviews. I am a subcontractor for this location. I want all of the readers to know that this location is about to be under new ownership. The couple that will be taking over this establishment in the near future, also own the Blimpie and Chevron gas station in the same complex. They currently are managing this DQ until the transition is complete. Several changes have taken place. Numerous upgrades to the location, to include equipment, have been completed with more coming up. Cleanliness is improving daily. DISGUSTED!!!! I stopped here on a road trip and ordered a blizzard. The employee stopped mopping and came over to help me (DID NOT WASH HIS HANDS) and rang me up. After he handled the money he went over to the food station grabbed a banana and started cutting it for my blizzard (STILL HAS NOT WASHED HIS HANDS AND DID NOT PUT ON GLOVES). I said, "excuse me, you didn't wash your hands"... He walked off into the back and came back wiping his hands off and continued cutting the same banana. I said, "sir, can I just have my money back" and without hesitation he opened the drawer and started to give me money back. I asked him if he understood why? He said no. I said "you were mopping and then handling money and then touching food. That's disgusting and unsanitary! He laughed at me!!!! I asked him why that was funny to him. There are hardly words to describe the disgustingness of this place. My recommendation is that it should be closed. The fact that it is open and sports a "95" inspection rating makes me doubt that the inspector even inspected. Where to begin? The two completely full bags of garbage at the front door at 2PM? The food stuck to the food on the floor? But the restrooms are the most disgusting restrooms I have seen in my life. First, they are literally down a filthy dark alley OUTSIDE, Dead roaches are mounded ub the corners, unnameable substances stuck to the walls, no latches on stall doors, no DOOR on the bathroom allowing outside view of the urinals (which appear to have never been cleaned). There is no running water in one sink and a trickle of cold in the other. No soap or any way to dry one's hands. The service was hostile. One young woman looked at us malevolently then went back to what she was doing as if we did not exist. The soft serve machine was dripping from both taps. I peeked behind the counter and instantly regretted my decision. Clearly the food on the floor was old and there was filth and trash everywhere in the prep area. We were standing in line and saw the employees walking in food, and saw trash and things thrown on the floor. I don't even know where to start. The first thing you walk into is a face full of gnats. The bathrooms are beyond disgusting and need some major cleaning. The French fries we horrible and soggy along with the bread. The employee messed up the order a couple times. I've eaten here a couple of times. My most recent order was a Blizzard. I had to have a friend pick it up for me again. My co-worker had a banana split. I asked for a Butterfinger-Snickers blend (I didn't know I could do that!), because my friend said they would do it for me. They did! It was also filled with probably the largest amount of candy I have ever had in a Blizzard. I've eaten here approximately 3 times in about a year and a half (I don't eat much) and I haven't had a bad experience yet. read more

My family meets here every other weekend -it's the halfway drop-off point for my ex husband to pick up his children for the weekend. We tried eating lunch here, tried eating just dessert here...and now we won't even use the bathrooms here. The bathrooms are consistently NASTY- often the handicap stall is out-of-order, with various and sundry bodily fluids dribbled about and throughout the other stalls. Ladies: hover and DON'T TOUCH ANYTHING. The lighting is poor in the bathrooms and very creepy..."Saw"- like. Flies everywhere, the food tastes stale and the employees...are always mopping it seems like, but the place is never clean. Also, the employees are unprofessional, unkempt, and completely uninterested in any kind of customer service. That just actually made me chuckle because it really is quite incredible how despondent they are. They stare blankly at you and seem unsure of how to fullfill the purpose of the red DQ on their uniforms. Black dirt all over the floor with flattened napkins stuck to it- i mean really you have to work hard to have a restaurant this icky. I don't let my children go inside the DQ anymore, although my ex-husband still lets them use the outhouse style, even more "Saw"-like alleyway bathrooms outside by the gas station...much to my shagrin. Those "bathrooms" are a real treat. They'd make an awesome set for filming the next Rob Zombie movie. The giant random cow outside is entertaining, but curiously placed. All in all, exit 84, GA I-75 is probably the most depressing and sub-par collection of dingy little bathrooms and businesses I've seen in awhile...with a large fly population and an even larger Cow. read more

AWFUL service. We got there at 7 because the sign on the door says they're open until 9, and they said they were closed while there were many people inside and outside still eating their food. 0/10 would NOT recommend. Also, their bathrooms are out of order and the only available bathroom is in a sketchy alley next to a nearby gas station. Don't make the mistake of stopping at this DQ. The bathrooms are nasty (dried feces on the stool, puddles of urine on the floor, yuck!!!!!!!. Makes you wonder about the handling of food. If you really want to be turned off visit the bathroom located at the Chevron service station attached to the DQ.......toilet doors missing, urinals leaking on to the floor and lose from the wall, no toilet paper etc. I made the mistake of ordering my food before visiting the restrooms. I gave it one star because there is not a minus star rating Restrooms where disgusting the smell of urine was gagging , toilet paper urine all other the floor, and that was the men's the ladies was worse to the point that my wife got sick because of the smell. It was part of a Subway and a chevron gas station all the rest rooms the same. there was 21 of us that stopped off of I 75 we started ordering but when we discovered the conditions of the rest rooms we left. the gas station was .50 cents a gallon more then other station down the highway, a total scam. Over all this location was so bad we would not tell anyone ever to go to DQ every again. read more
