Not the greatest portions ever. The food taste alright for fast food. If you want a lot of choices that each person in your family may want, come here. Burgers are normal size. The ordering is kinda confusing so be prepared or you'll feel rushed by the staff. This isn't their fault. It's just rough for first time people. The ambiance seemed laid back and like people are just working here. Didn't seem to care that we didn't know what we were doing. I do want to try some other stuff on the menu so may come back. I've stopped at Cook Out now a few times for their grilled burgers. Moved here from the land of butter burgers but I don't eat much red meat myself so I may be a bit pickier with fast food. The grind of beef here is very good and tastes fresh. Patties are always nicely grilled and they have a vast selection toppings. Service is always quick and friendly. For the price, this is a good burger and fries. My favorite is the hush puppies. It could however use a little cleaning. It makes you worry about food poisoning when you see how nasty window and inside is from drive through window. read more

Great southern fast food chain. Menu is a bit confusing but get a tray for the best deal. Got the double cook out style with cheese. It had added chili and slaw and onions. Great fastfood burger, onion rings were a little light and I subbed drink for a banana shake and it was less than $10. Shake was thick and filled eith banana. From out of state where Cook Out does not exist, so we were not sure what to expect. I can't say it was "fast food", as it was anything but fast. On the road from Atlanta to Jacksonville and saw a billboard for milkshakes and bbq -- no further convincing needed. I was surprised at it being a fast food place and almost aborted the mission because I normally avoid such establishments , but the average review was high (4.5) and I was already there so why not. The menu selection is insane and it took me a minute to decide what to get. Luckily, the cashier was patient and had the type of kind sweetness you're only going to get from a small southern town. They had all the milkshake flavors but I stuck with simple strawberry. It was just above average, very thick (didn't get thin enough to drink without struggling for about 30 minutes), and the best part of the meal. I got the bbq sandwich, fries and hush puppies. Never tried them before so we decided to give it a shot. Only drive-up and walk-up (maybe due to COVID-19), but was told no inside restroom. The menu is a bit difficult to navigate due to lots of choices and seemed confusing to employee when ordering also. I got the "Tray plus 2 sides: 1/4 pound steak burger with A1 sauce, grilled onions and mayo, cheese bites, onion rings and a Reese's Shake all for $6.00. What a spurge, but it's vacation! Everything was delicious and the burgers are grilled and flavorful! We will stop on again if we are close to one! read more

Picked up 3 meals at the newly opened Cook Out yesterday evening, cost just over $16. Nobody had any complaints whatsoever- food was fresh and tasty. Service was very friendly and eager to get the order right. I had the single burger meal with fries and a bacon wrap. Burger was cooked well and the lettuce, pickle and cheese were good. My wife had the BLT - she said it was good. My son had the chicken fingers - also said it was cooked well and fresh. I go here all the time, and it's really good but the staff is very rude. We just went through the drive through and the lady was very rude, we waited 20 minutes on our food and when we asked for sauce the lady told us we were very rude for no reason. There's no reason to stop anywhere else in the Cordele area. On a road trip from Atl to FL and was able to feed the family quickly and deliciously. We tried the cookout burger which was awesome but a little messy so beware if you're trying to drive while enjoying it. The Chargrilled Chicken sandwich BBQ style was perfection in its simplicity. Kids tried corn dogs and hot dogs and fries and were all happy. The hush puppies and onion rings were hot fresh and way above what you'd expect from a drive thru. If you're offered cook out sauce say yes as it is perfect with the puppies and rings. To top it off the employee at the window was polite and accommodating. What a disappointment! I've been to other Cook Out Burgers in the past & they have been good. This was not the case at this particular one. We went to the walk up window & the lady who waited on us was so rude. I asked if it would be possible to have a couple of ice waters with our burgers & shakes and her response was to roll her eyes, groan and then turn to the next customer to ask what he wanted.
