She checked back on us several times, and recommended we stop back in on our way back to Florida. Spouse ordered the smoked pork chop lunch with mashed potatoes, green beans, and cornbread: it was all delicious, especially the chop! I ordered the pulled pork lunch with fries, squash casserole, and cornbread. My favorite sauce was the Sweet & Tangy: I used it on the pork as well as my fries. The squash was flavorful (yum) but I did pick out some of the breadcrumbs in order to get straight squash flavor--so good! Finally, I'm in love with their cornbread! When we do come back in our travels, I may just order cornbread and butter as my dessert! While yes the food is better than fast food and it's nice to stop for a family lunch during a long drive at a place with lots of options, not sure we'll make this stop again. The chicken finger platter is a plate of concession stand chicken fingers, nothing special (or good). The ribs are dry while simultaneously wet but not in a rib winning competition way. Mac and cheese is on the menu so that pleased the younger crowd. Kids cheeses burger was a sad thing Pattie with unmelted cheese on top. You know you're in a legit Southern restaurant when the Ranch dressing is served in a pitcher! And it tasted like it'd been made from scratch. This was for my salad that I had upgraded to as one of my sides and it came with a basket of captain wafers. My other side was the fries and these were coated and fairly crispy. My entree was the combo platter that came with a pickle spear, toast, and two meats. I chose the pork chop and ribs. The chop was flavorful and both meats were a good portion. The ribs were fork tender and came right off the bone. They had a rub on them, and I added sauce which was also good. They appear to have two varieties: sweet and sweet-and-tangy (the latter being my favorite). Service was good on this busy Sunday lunch and we never lacked for drink refills. It was the Sunday following Thanksgiving (i.e., lots of holiday travelers), but I could tell there were a lot of locals as well. We managed to snag a parking spot without issue, but there were many vehicles parked all along the road near the restaurant as testament to its popularity. Despite the crowd, we were seated with hardly any wait. Most of the wait was at the end of the meal since you pay at the front, not the waitress. They offer a mix of tables and booths for seating and a room has been added to the back which looks like it can be opened up as a covered patio in nice weather. I was told beef patty is cooked from frozen, so should not have been surprised that my burger came out well-done...barely edible. Yellow onion rather than thinly sliced Red Onion. Seasoned fries and BBQ beans were VG. Is fresh beef cooked to order too difficult? Disappointed no choice of draught beer...simply inexcusable in a BBQ restaurant. Oh my goodness! Don't miss this place if you are passing through Tifton, Ga. A family owned barbecue and steakhouse that hit the mark. My husband had the smoked pork chops and said they were the best he ever had. His sides or coleslaw and baked beans and said both were delicious. I had a 12 ounce ribeye, medium-rare, cooked perfectly. It came with a side salad and baked potato. Both entrées came with a nice piece of Texas toast and a slice of orange on the side. The side salad was amazing. See photo. First of all, it is huge. It's not your typical lettuce cheese, cucumber salad that most restaurants serve nowadays. It has egg slices, green pepper, black, olives, banana peppers, carrots, cheese, onion, croutons. They make their own ranch and 1,000 Island dressing. I can't say enough good things. I stopped in on my way back from Florida and just as the other reviews, I was beyond pleased. I had my two dogs with me, so outdoor seating was the only option. The hostess was kind and understanding, and went over and above to assist me with getting my food to my table. She offered to bring a bowl of water for the dogs and she even helped me clean up, knowing I couldn't go back inside with the dogs. They were busy and it was the end of the night and not many places would've been as welcoming as they were to me. Customer service is everything and this experience was great. Stopped here for a BBQ lunch because we moved to Florida and don't find much BBQ down there. We had a very good lunch and I enjoyed my chopped pork sandwich and my husband liked his 1/2 roasted chicken. My sandwich had a great heated bun that they filled with yummy chopped pork and they added fresh pickles on the side, also the sweet sauce was just right. The fries were hot and delicious as well. We were greeted by the sweetest, friendliest hostess ever! I should've gotten her name...she's a definite asset to this establishment. The beef platter, however, didn't come close to the anticipation we had upon arrival. It has an off color (grey-green)and no flavor at all. After one bite, we gave up on it as inedible. The Brunswick stew and sides were good which made up for the beef. Our grand daughter had the chopped pork sandwich, which was good. A different hostess was up front when we left and she didn't offer any compensation for the beef when we mentioned the very poor quality. Stopped here on my way to Jacksonville and was thrilled to see a BBQ spot. We weee welcomed by the friendly staff and sat almost immediately. The restaurant was fairly full yet relatively quiet and relaxing. The food.... Well I was really disappointed which is really hard for me to be because I'm usually open to different tastes from different regions and cultures. Yet I was not satisfied at all. Shared my husbands sides so I ate the cucumber salad which was crisp and not too sweet or vinegary. Husband got the half rack of ribs and they were good. He liked them more than I did- they were not fatty at all but I thought they didn't taste smoky so not my favorite. 3 sauces were on the table- hot, mild and sweet. They were all very good. Hot was just a little spicy not overpowering, and the sweet was not cloyingly sweet. He said the cole slaw was ok- he put bbq sauce on it which he said improved it!
