Do not come here. They wouldn't pull the records from our old dentist office to know we had other claims pending for the insurance. They sat my husband down and said the dental cleaning should be covered in full. We later get a bill for almost 500 and they were able to bring it to a little under 300. However, we really can't afford a bill like this. If we were told ahead of time, we would of waited to be seen or stayed with the old office. We wanted the whole family to be in one place. It took weeks to get ahold of somebody and they wouldn't answer my calls. Supposedly somebody left a message - never received. When my husband went in they were hounding him about getting extra procedures done and that should of been the red flag this place is only after money and aren't very honest humans. Kathy was very snarky and let me know they aren't "mind readers" when it comes to billing or pending claims from the insurance...however if they had been nicer and more willing to take my husband in for an apt for his cleaning for the cap, then this wouldn't have been an issue and she wouldn't need to be a "mind reader" about pending claims. He also had told them he had a cap done before he was seen. Regardless, you are better off going to a different office. These people do not have any empathy. Kathy was eager to get an auto pay debit card on file asap and did not care that this 300 is what we budget for food for our children for the month since we are two students trying to make ends meet. We came here because they have weekend appointments and we want our kids to love the dentist and they actually loved going here and it's unfortunate this is the way they treat the parents. The extra drive will be worth it to be at two different offices to avoid this type of situation. read more

My family moved here from out of state about a year ago. After reading good reviews of this practice, I made appointments for each of my family members. My appointment was first. After my exam, the hygienist recommended services I did not need. My son was also given services he did not need and scheduled for another appointment that was unnecessary. I'd give minus 5 stars if possible for Dr. Ball's disrespectful treatment. Office very aggressive about collect8ng deposits as well but takes a week and a half to refund them when they admit they take them in error!! His office took a depisit for a root canal, then when I took a day off work for it, he wasted my time, made up some story about not being sure if he could do a root canal or not, convinced me to go elsewhere. I went elsewhere then received a dismissal letter from his office AFTER they took a 2nd deposit from me for yet another procedure he apparently had no plan on doing. The letter stated I was disrespectful to his staff. 100% untrue. I thanked his staff profusely for their help. It is far more likely Dr. Ball didn't like hearing I'd have appreciated a phone call cancelling the root canal he didn't want to do, so I didn't miss a day of work. I am not sure if I should laugh or be pissed. I am the formal manager of 3 years at dr c family dentistry. Since leaving the facility I have chosen to continue my children's dental needs and mine and my husbands dental care at this facility because we love dr ball. However I scheduled my apt for the 17th of this month with the manager, then I got a confirmation call on Thursday the 10th that my apt was on Monday the 14th which it was never changed by me or even asked. The next day I get a text message Friday the 11th from and employee asking if I am Coming in to my comp exam apt that day. Neither of these Apts were scheduled by me. I am appalled that due to lack of communication with their staff and proper scheduling that they would send me and my family a dismissal letter. It's actually pretty disgusting that I as a former employee still pay full price for all services just like a normal patient and because no one wants to take accountability it's just easy to dis miss someone. This is another reason so many of their employees have left. We will gladly take our business someone else read more

My mom, husband and son all started here earlier on.. I started last year in Fall of 2021. My most recent procedure was in May 2022. I do have high anxiety with dental stuff, they have been good about it (which I very much appreciate). I have Dr. Lansing, and he has quite a calming manner. I also appreciate that he was listened to my input. I like all the assistants and technicians I've met so far. I do agree with other commenters that the billing is strangely aggressive, BUT I also know they helped out an older lady I know (on a very limited income) and I appreciate them more than I can say for that kindness. That act was actually the thing that pushed me to come in and finally see someone. We also started our daughter with Dr. Amy (who was awesome with our kiddo, as was her assistant). I love Dr. C Family Dentistry! I hate going to the dentist and they literally have me looking forward to my appointments now. I came here twice this year already, once for routine cleaning, second for a wisdom tooth extraction. Each time I have been there, the staff was lovely. They make you feel welcome and always greet you by name when you come in. My dental hygienist was so friendly and made for excellent conversation. I hate having my teeth cleaned because I've always had a bad experience. She did so well that it didn't hurt like I remember and my teeth felt so clean for weeks. She even made me realize that flossing is something I love to do now. My teeth have never been cleaner this many months (4 months) after a teeth cleaning due to their recommendations. And the dentist that examined me that day, Dr. Ball, went to the same school for Dentistry that I went for Optometry! That's rare considering I went to school in Florida. I came back to get a wisdom tooth extracted, which I dreaded because I've never had a tooth removed. Dr. Cochran was very relaxing in his tone of voice and kept talking to me throughout the procedure. They even had Netflix on so I could pay attention to that. Only thing I needed was nitrous and local anesthesia and I didn't feel a thing. Even after the procedure, I had minimal pain. This place put to rest all my fears of going to the dentist and I look forward to coming here for my next checkup. read more

I recently got braces and had the right side of my bumpers fall off twice now in the span of a week. I was very obvious of my concern when it happened the first time and im really disappointed I'm dealing with it again. When I called to try to make an appointment and express my concern of mouth pain and my teeth hitting my brackets I was told it would be a few days before I could be seen and no options of ways to help it until then we're given. read more

Dr. Ball at Dr. C family dentistry has changed my view on dentists forever. He has always gone out of his way to make sure I am taken care of and that I understand my treatment. I recently moved from Washington to Texas and needed his help! I called and spoke to the sweet sweet lovely ladies in his office, but there is just something about the personal call that solidifies my love for this office. So Simple. So personal. All the work he has done is with perfection. Always making sure I was at ease and comfortable. I had been a patient of Dr. C since he opened his practice about 5 years ago. Fortunately, I do not have a lot of dental problems so my interaction up until my last visit had been for cleanings and an annual check by the dentist. No work needed. On my last visit, the new associate dentist (whose name I forget), said he found a small cavity. So, I said lets fix it ASAP. That's when the problem began. When the assistant was booking the follow up appointment for the cavity fix, she asked if I would like to prepay my portion of the bill ($118) for a $3.00 discount. "No" I said, " I do not prepay for medical services". In fact this is the first time I had ever been asked to do so in 50 years of paying for my dental care. Then she said "We will need at least a $20 prepayment go book the appointment". Say what? At first I thought she was joking, but I realized she was serious. I told her that I found this unprofessional and insulting, but she said it was policy. Ok, not her fault so I gave her the $20 and booked the appointment. I did tell her on the way out that this would likely lead me to find a different dentist. After I left, the more I thought about it the angrier I got. I had never been late for or missed an appointment. If that were the case I would understand the need for a security deposit. So, after a day of stewing I called and cancelled the appointment and told them I would take my business elsewhere. In fairness they were prompt to return my deposit. So, I booked an appointment to get the cavity fixed with my wife's dentist. I told the new dentist specifically where the cavity was supposed to be. He poked and prodded and asked if I was sure this is where the cavity was supposed to be. 'Yep, I'm sure, at least one tooth one way or another". After looking for several minutes, he pronounced that there was no cavity there, that he could see. He went ahead and re-examined the rest of my teeth and could find nothing. So, draw your own conclusion. I will not go so far as to say that Dr. C's group is making work where none is needed, but that's my story. Oh and BTW, no prepayment needed to book the appointment with the new dentist. read more

I recently took my 2 year old to see Dr. Amy and I cannot say enough good things about this place. I didn't know how my daughter would do for her first teeth cleaning in the office and Dr. Amy did such a fantastic job keeping her calm. They also have tvs for each of the chairs to keep the kids entertained. My daughter was so excited that she received a new tooth brush when we left. They have expanded their office and have a brand new beautiful space just for kids. I got to enjoy the new coffee bar. All of the staff is so friendly and I appreciate the reminders prior to our visit. The office is very clean and everyone wore masks. Arrived 10 mins before my scheduled apt at 7:00am. Entered and found no one at the front desk. Could hear laughing and talking from the back so I knew someone was around. Finally at 7:05 someone showed up at the front desk. Apparently there were other priorities other than checking in patients so I advised the person to cancel my appt. Sadly this is not the first time this has happened tom me, but it is the last. I have had good experiences with the hygienist I have seen and I'm sorry to see them go. But I think it's time to find myself another dentist. read more

Let me start with they have amazing dental hygienists. Lots of appointments available and that used to be enough to make us happy. Unfortunately the last two times we have been in we have been asked to pre-pay or been told we cannot leave our appointment unless we pay for the full service because they couldn't get a hold of our insurance company. I have had the same insurance company for 14 years. I have never had to pay for dental services. Then they process through insurance and I get a refund months later. As soon as you walk in you feel welcomed and at home. The decor and atmosphere is amazing and you wouldn't even tell it's a dentistry just by looking at it! The staff is so kind, helpful, and answered all of my questions. Georgina was my hygienist today and she was absolutely amazing! She helped me learn new tricks with dental care and made me feel comfortable (because we all know how scary the dentist can be!).
