However, we too experienced failing cement several times, most of the time less than 48 hrs after an appointment. So frustrating after all the $$$$ shelled out. They push this "earn points on your card" pretty hard. My son, seeing that he could get a Target giftcard just by doing the things on the list, went the extra mile. I think maybe twice they added points to his card. He asked me about the gift card and I said they'd probably put it in the mail. It's been 6 months and nothing.

They literally went above and beyond to get me fitted, make new retainers and get them delivered to me. I was extremely satisfied and so happy to get new retainers. Okay. So I am torn between two stars and three…read more I had my braces on years ago, and had them removed in 2002. I am in the United States Navy and they put a top bar on my mouth before I left for Boot camp in 2007 so I wouldn't loose my retainer. Well about 4 years ago my top bar broke and I had it fixed and with a new permanent retainer the female of the two orthodontist's (I believe dr. Paxton) did not charge me much I think it was less than 200.00 also including the clear retainer. Well I was home 4 years later visiting for bloomsday and schedule an appointment because my top bar broke again, I was quoted 160.00 on the phone, well by the time I was done they took the cement off my bottom bar, did my top bar then gave me a retainer. I was about to leave and one of the ladies that works there said "oh that's going to be 375" and the male orthodontist said you shouldn't have been quoted over the phone, we will fix that internally. well I obviously couldn't not pay it. But when you're quoted 160 and it comes out to 375 that's a pretty big difference. If something happens again I will not come back, which is sad after literally 15+ years. There's plenty of orthodontist where I live (San Diego) that I'll get it taken care of.

Staff were rude when rescheduling appointments and unnecessarily chastised me for missed appointments, offering no compassion or understanding for a busy lifestyle. Despite the fact that they had to reschedule my appointment time at least once due to my retainers not being delivered. I did not receive consistent reminder notifications for my appointments which would have helped a lot. Additionally the care was subpar. I needed more appointments than originally planned because at least three times the staff could not attach the bracket for rubber bands to my teeth properly. They fell off the same day I got home. Then I had to deal with the scheduling nightmare all over again. All of this and my teeth are only mostly fixed but I honestly can't deal with trying to schedule more appointments here. I don't recommend anyone waste their money here. Find an office that has better hours and more providers.
