This dental practice is not what it used to be over 10 years ago. Dr. Wuerker has lost all interpersonal skills. I was an idiot for giving him a second chance. After walking around to cool down, I found a homeless guy who lives behind the FNB who offered me a cleaning and he did a wonderful job. Yeah his hands were a bit more shakey than Dr. Wuerker but he gives you a little hi chew when you're done so it works itself out in the end. He also accepted many payment methods including multiple brands of cigarettes (open and unopened!) Dr. Wuerker has a cool dog that gave me a boop outside when I needed it so thankful for that small moment but that's about it. Find another practice. Save yourself a TON of stress and $$$. They get you in the door then will drop all the extra $$$ during the visit when none was discussed on phone. Second time. I wish the dog well but that's about it. In truth that was my last time trying to go any dentist. I've given up on all hope at this point which shatters me.

I had been experiencing some blinding pain and scheduled an appointment for a dentist to look over my teeth and help identify the cause - this insurance coordinator booked me 10 days out full well knowing and approving me paying out of pocket. Less than a day before my appointment, she called and left me a voicemail simply stating they would not be able to see me tomorrow or ever. When I called back to inquire, the receptionist and insurance coordinator became agitated and defensive going so far as to raise her voice over the phone with phrases such as "are you serious?" and "I don't know what to tell you". I did not once raise my voice or speak disrespectfully to the staff. Shame I never got to interact with the dentists or hygienists as they come highly recommended. Would not recommend this dental office to anybody due to the unaccommodating nature and overall lack of ethicality handling a situation with an individual experiencing extreme distress due to dental related pain.

The doctor came in and he considered all of my concerns after checking my medical history. He did a cancer screening and checked my gums in addition to evaluating my xrays. I never felt rushed, yet I did see their concern for my dental care. The dental hygienist, Jamie was super gentle. My husband, daughters, their family members all go to this office. She only has one other dentist for competition, and that is my childhood dentist, who was just as good. Growing up, I thought all dentists were good with patients, knowledgeable and did their best to make you comfortable. After learning this was not the case, finding someone like Dr. Ray is just awesome. I've been seeing her for close to five years now, both at the CSU clinic and her private practice, and I received the same excellent care. She is also very good at what she does- she often does her own cleanings, is thorough and although I don't want to admit my cavity history, awesome at fillings. I had a previous dentist not give me enough Novocaine, causing some anxiety during this process. She was very understanding and kind and worked with me to make sure I was okay during the entire process. To give you an idea of how much I like her as a dentist, I live in Denver and drive 60 miles to see her. Last year, I attempted another dentist due to some unfortunate dental insurance and he tried to replace a lot of stuff that wasn't needed. Dr. Ray is honest about what you need, and will work with you on your schedule and payments. Six months later I was told by another dentist that I had severe bone degeneration because of a failed cavity procedure (done by her) that was infected so bad that it caused an infection which ate through my jaw bone and now I need oral surgery to scrape all of it out and possibly a bone graft! All of this could have been prevented if she had given me an x-ray that day I went in. She would have saw that the previous cavity filling failed and I had a raging infection. As I said I had lost a crown over the holiday and wanted it replaced quickly. I made a call was greeted by a friendly understanding receptionist who assured me they had the capability to do it in house and was able to schedule me for 2 days later with the assurance they could get it fixed that afternoon. She took a few pieces of info set up the appointment and then sent me an email/text confirmation along with new patient paperwork to save time. When I arrived I was pleasantly surprised at the facility cleanliness and design and after a short wait had Dr. Dan Holmes himself greet me and bring me back to the treatment area. I noted how clean and well set up the place was which put me immediately at ease but then I became even more relaxed as we had a pleasant chat because here was a dentist who appeared very unhurried and genuinely interested. We then began the procedure which I must say was one of the most pleasant experiences I have ever had in a dentist office. He even invited me to bring in my pup (who was patiently waiting in my car) while the crown was being fabricated! I got to meet his wife Nicole who is also a dentist and business partner and several of the staff and everyone was really pleasant and professional. The procedure got finished about hour later as promised and I must say it seems to be a great fit. The office is both immaculate and has all the latest technology (which really appeals to a discriminating tech geek like me). Even the prices seemed very fair and they also have a membership plan that seems to be equivalent (if not better) than some dental plans like delta dental. If you are looking for a new dentist office give these guys a try and I'm sure you will be pleased!

(The other staff is wonderful, too, I just haven't interacted with them as much.) I had to get crowns throughout my entire mouth (long story), and they nailed it!!! They were so sensitive to my anxiety issues, and Dr. Nicole's technique in giving shots (for numbing) is unrivaled! They even re-did a few teeth that I wanted to look a little different. They were completely understanding and accommodating about my request to have these re-done, even though they had to take out a few permanent crowns they had already put in!! Since they have STATE OF THE ART equipment, they were able to remove these easily. Honestly, it was amazing! Seriously, if you're looking for a dentist, go here. (Oh and they were SO helpful with the financial stuff! They offered unique payment plans in addition to the regular care credit plans you see other places. They are wonderful!!!)
