I have seen Dr. Hunter for over 5 years. She has been very careful to listen to what I need and want and has adjusted my treatments to meet my wishes. She has always treated me with respect. She is very careful to make sure that her work is both aesthetically and functionally superb. She explains the reasons behind her recommendations. I have had many times when there was nothing needed but a cleaning and a time when I was having pain and needed a specialist. Dr. Radtke was literally the most expensive dental check up I have ever had in my life. She maxed out my family's dental X-rays for the year, charged over $100 for "fluoride varnish" that was not covered by my insurance and she just comes off as fake, intense, aggressive & financially motivated. If you want to pay over $600 for a dental cleaning and X-rays, this is the place to go. They also demand a copay before you leave. You can't possibly wait to see what your insurance will cover first and then pay the approved amount...they want as much money as they can get from you up front. read more

I love Front Range Dental Center. The staff have always been very pleasant and professional. I would like to point out however, these are pretty stressful times and the staff may need to remember that everyone's comfort level is different. "Corona Etiquette" should include asking patients what their comfort level is with conversation, especially since staff is working so closely to patient's faces (usually with their mouths open. Even though the dental hygienist had on a mask and face shield, I was not comfortable with the amount of conversation she was having with me the entire time she worked on my teeth. I appreciate her wanting to make it a pleasant experience, but talking constantly just inches from my face did just the opposite for me. I would have been MUCH more comfortable with her asking just the questions needed to complete the work. read more

I love this dentist office so much. On my first visit, the hygienist talked to me face to face for at-least 5 minutes just getting to know me. I had a small cavity and the procedure was so quick and painless. I really appreciated how the doctor said "no worries, this won't take long"! I've had other dentists say "bad news...you have a cavity" which makes me feel so anxious and guilty. Overall this is the best dental experience I've ever had and will be loyal to this practice. read more

My husband and I got our first cleanings and annual check-ups about 6 months ago here and were not that impressed... mainly because we felt like the hygienists and receptionists were constantly trying to sell us something (i.e. during my cleaning, the hygienist said over and over again how I should buy this one particular toothpaste they sell, so I bought it. Then later in the week, my husband had his appointment and they tried to sell him the same toothpaste. Even after he told them that I had just bought a tube, they said to buy another one.) We were actually going to look for a new dentist in town, but I got a reminder email that my next cleaning was due. So I thought I'd give Front Range Dental Center one more try - AND I made sure to ask for Dr. Radtke (I had seen Dr. Kollard during my 1st appointment, didn't LOVE her, and thought I should try another doctor in the practice). I had my appointment this morning, and this time, I have no complaints! My hygienist, Kim, was very friendly and made sure to look through my records as she was starting to do my check-up. And Dr. Radtke was also very friendly and knowledgable about some concerns she had with my gums. This time, no one tried to sell me anything! read more

Yesterday I went to Front Range Dental for the first time because I had a capped molar break off with the post still in the capped tooth. The dentist cemented the crown and post back on. I thought it was great my tooth was fixed with no pain. However today when I ate my first meal the third bite into a sandwich and the tooth again dislodged. $245 for something that in retrospect I should have known was too good to be true. The repair didn't even make the 24 hour mark. Asked what the alternatives were and was quoted exorbitant prices. Guess they got my money for a bogus repair but I will never go there again and will continue to discourage others from going there. I guess their reputation must be worth less than $245 read more

In the past they have always been great but my most recent visit to get a filling was with Dr. Eckhardt who I hadn't met before. Everything was great except it felt like he and the assistant were more entrenched in their own random conversation than focusing on the task at hand which was occurring in my numbed mouth. After choosing a new dentist in town, I was severely disappointed with how I was treated as a patient here. I have always had healthy teeth (no cavities, always floss, etc.). However, when I was accepted as a new patient here, I was told I had early onset gum disease, and they recommended a deep gum cleaning. They told me my insurance would cover it. After the procedure, I learned that my insurance did NOT cover the pricey procedure. I did not come to my "follow up" for this elective procedure. When I scheduled my next regular teeth cleaning, I was in the chair as the technician started doing the "deep gum cleaning follow up." I told her I absolutely did not approve of that procedure being done, and I was only there for my regular cleaning. She argued with me and then finally, rudely, just cleaned my teeth. I never heard from the office again. I just visited my former dentist of several years, and they told me there were no issues with my gums, and that they were very surprised by the findings at this office. I would absolutely not recommend this place--it's very dishonest. (Looks like the same thing that Steve experienced 10/2017.) read more

Having come from what I believe is one of the great dentists in Southern California, I was a bit concerned that my wife and I would not find a top notch dental office when we relocated to Ft. Collins. After much research we identified Front Range Dental Center as a possible replacement and even had our CA based dentist call Dr. Brad Eckhardt and make an introduction. Our CA based dentist was very pleased with what we found, made the introduction and encouraged us to become new patients of Dr. Eckhardt. Had my x-rays and cleaning done yesterday and felt very comfortable there. Quality staff, nice office, and attention to detail is what we sought and what we found. Spoke for a few mins with the doctor following the cleaning and am convinced he will do right by me. Feeling great about this new find. read more

I have been going to FRDC for about 5-6 yrs after having a Denver dentist for over 20 years. I absolutely swore by Dr. King but I have to say that this group is even more wonderful. Through crowns, implants and grinding, Dr. Radtke and Kim have been supportive, encouraging, and gentile and have offered good counsel to help me through these issues. My kids and grand kids are now customers as well. Can't give them enough kudos. read more

I had stayed away from the Dentist for a bit because of a few past bad experiences. I arrived feeling a bit anxious but I was promptly put at east by the warm and welcoming staff. Everyone was friendly and knowledgable and Dr. Radtke was very pleasant. I also appreciate the time they took to discuss options as I am soon to lose my Dental insurance. I moved to Colorado two years ago and have visited several dental practices in the Windsor and Ft. Collins area. I read the reviews for Front Range and decided to give them a try. I left an email with questions and quickly received a response and it was 7:00 pm the same day. Needless to say, I was impressed with their excellent customer service. Curt was super friendly and helpful. I scheduled cleanings for my husband and two children and it was a great experience for everyone. I left a wonderful practice back in Texas and just wasn't sure I would find anything that compared but I'm happy to say this place will be our new home. Dr. Alex was very professional and explained everything in detail and answered all of my questions. The hygienist were also very professional and super friendly. If you're anything like me, you dread even the thought of going to the dentist. That's why I stayed away for such a long time since my last visit to a dentist in California. Well, it finally caught up to me and one of my fillings went south so I had to find a dentist in NOCO asap. I was able to book an appointment that same week. Best dental experience I've ever had. They were courteous, professional and disclosed step by step what was going on. The biggest plus was they were very gentle. I'm glad I found these guys. Let me preface this by saying my husband said the dentist and his hygienist were very good. Kind and seemed to be skilled. Here's the issue - I asked the staff at Front Range if they took Blue Cross/Blue Shield Federal insurance. They said they did. I told them they don't pay much, however, they do cover exam, x-rays and teeth cleaning. They agreed. When my husband went to check out, they asked for payment. Normally, a doctor or dentist files a claim, then bills. My husband was clueless and paid the 400.00. I received a statement from Blue Cross and they paid about 25 dollars and stated Front Range was not in their service plan. I was really upset. I have emailed Front Range twice about this. I think they need to at least admit they made a mistake or possible reimburse us for a portion of this bill. Funny, they emailed me back quickly concerning my husband's appt, but have ignored the two emails concerning this issue. I waited and gave them a chance. I feel they are dishonest and I would certainly make sure to have them bill your insurance before you pay. read more

I have always been one to put off going to the dentist until absolutely necessary, but I actually enjoy going to Front Range Dental Center. Dr. Radtke, the dental hygienists, and the office staff are all very friendly and accommodating. They provide sunglasses during cleanings and procedures, which I appreciate, because my eyes tear up under bright lights. The hygienist also gave me lip balm for my dry lips when I was having a crown placed. It means a lot to me that they go the extra mile to ensure that the patient is as comfortable as possible at what can be an uncomfortable time. read more

I recently moved to Fort Collins and was looking for a new dentist. After some research online I thought this was a good place. I went down to their office to check it out and ask a few questions while I was there. Less than a minute into talking, the blonde lady at the front desk said that this office does not take Delta Dental insurance and will not be taking it for quite some time. This seemed to conflict with what I had just read on their website. Delta Dental insurance is clearly listed on their website. So I left and double checked their website. Sure enough, it was there. I went right back in and asked the other lady at the front desk if they take Delta Dental insurance because I was just told that they don't and I had the website pulled up on my phone proving that they do. Due to the incompetent people at the front desk, it makes me worry about them trying to rip me off as well as the quality of workers they hire at this business. I absolutely cannot recommend this place if they don't even know what insurance they take. The blonde lady at the front desk is extremely unknowledgeable and has probably turned away lots of potential customers because she claims they don't take their insurance when they probably do. If this is the type of professionalism I can expect, then Comfort Dental will probably be a better bet than this place. read more

I am always very appreciative of great customer service and the office staff was welcoming, professional and very efficient. As a nurse, I place high value on an excellent clinical experience and have high praise for the hygienist, Kim, and the dentist, Dr. Radtke. Kim was very kind, patient, respectful of my needs and gave me the best cleaning I have ever had. She took her time, was thorough and explained everything. The dentist, Dr. Radke, was also exceptional, giving me an extremely thorough exam, explaining her findings, recommended next steps, and incorporating my input regarding how we would proceed with the treatment plan. My recent visit to Front Range Dental was mostly pleasant, the hygienist was very friendly. The issue was Dr. Kathryn Radke, the dentist herself. I am not sure if she was having a bad day, but she came across as very rude, insulting and talked down to me the entire visit. Honestly, her face was kind of scary-looking when she spoke. When I asked questions, she was very clear her opinion was the only one that mattered. I found her to be quite abrasive and kind of a "know-it-all." That is too bad, because I wanted to like her. I have never been to a female dentist before, I think I may see the male dentist next time. Sorry to give them 2 stars, but this is my honest answer. I don't care how nice the office looks if the dentist is nasty. read more
