These three people are so compassionate, empathetic, knowledgeable, intuitive, and genuinely care about their patients. Dr. Beau is definitely a genius when it comes to cosmetic dentistry and porcelain veneers. I spent countless hours researching cosmetic dentists to find the perfect dentist to fix the porcelain veneers I had done by another dentist, only six months before. Not only were my porcelain veneers, (done by another "cosmetic dentist") chip, brake, crack, had multilayered discoloration, were bulky, dense, and bulbous, they also crated, my controlled mild TMJ, to be extremely symptomatic. The porcelain veneers I had were so troublesome, that when I would bite and chew, my bottom jaw would literally shift to the right, intensifying the TMJ problem. With all these negative issues I was experiencing, my endless search ended with Da Vinci Dental and Dr. Beau. During my consultation, Dr. Beau spent so much time explaining the E-Max porcelain veneers he uses and why he uses E-Max vs the multilayered powder material that I had. He further discussed the entire fabrication process, the shaping and contouring he does specifically geared towards the patient's individuality, and why he spends an enormous amount of time perfecting the bite pattern, because he understands how critical it is to have the ideal bite. After our consultation, I knew, FOR A FACT, Dr. Beau was going to remove my crummy porcelain veneers (that I was ashamed of) and apply E-Max veneers that would make my smile beautiful, something that would regain my confidence. He did just that, my smile is radiant, my veneers perfectly compliment my face, but most of all, he corrected my bite pattern and now my TMJ problems, have drastically declined. Dr. Andrew is wonderful at applying the final E-Max porcelain veneers. He is so gentle, and kind, and always checks in with you to make sure you're doing okay during the process. He does not want the application to be uncomfortable and painful. Believe me, that's fantastic, because with my past experience, the dentist basically tortured me and I was in so much pain, even causing bruising, due to the roughness. Dr. Andy is the exact opposite; I was totally pain-free and comfortable. Amica is the soul of Da Vinci Dental. She is one of the kindest people I have ever met. She is wonderful with communicating with you and making sure you are informed every step of the way. She answers all questions you have intelligently, honestly, and openly. You are never hit with a surprise or unexpected financial cost, everyone and everything is transparent. Every time I come here, he gives me a hug and says that I've gotten taller (well, I am 23 now but I've been coming here since I was 11! Seriously!) So I have always had a permanent bottom retainer, since Dr. J closed a gap after I had a bad tooth pulled at 11 years old. The retainer recently broke and I had to have it fixed. I live in Los Angeles now, and went around from ortho to ortho looking for a quote. Dr. Paz in Marina Del Rey quoted me $125 to fix it and $400 to replace it. I decided to wait until I got back to Bellevue to have Dr. J fix it. And guess how much it cost me? $0! Even though I haven't been a regular patient for about 9 years now, which means I haven't paid him a dime since 1999 (yeah I'm a rapper), he still treats you like a lifelong customer and gives you the benefit of customer service even after you have long forgotten about the painful and awkward teenage years when you had braces. AND... to add icing to the cake, my only available time to come into the (new) office was on a Friday, immediately after my flight landed. But alas! They are closed on Friday! No problem. He comes in on his day off!! Can you believe this guy?? Both himself and his technician, Lori, who is amazingly nice and talented, came in to fix my bottom retainer. And it feels great now. Their new office is spectacular. Seriously. They've got the same layout, like 10 chairs lined up next to each other looking out over lush Bellevue greenery, oh and they have these ENORMOUS flat-screen TVs! Like 52-inch screens, seriously. And the parking situation is MUCH better at the new digs. I love Dr. J and to anyone looking for a family orthodontist (both my two younger brothers also got their braces from Dr. J) who will be there for you (who would've thought you could have an orthodontic emergency?) when you need him, he's your guy. Oh, and I say he's famous because when I was looking for a quote in Los Angeles they were all like "Oooooooh you're a patient of Joondeph's? He's the President of the AAO... let me see your lower bite!") Hahaha... anyway, he is a HIGHLY recommended orthodontist and has the best staff ever. Dr Bockow identified that I had a significant tongue tie and thrust and referred me to one of the best myofuctional therapists in the area. She knew by referring me for myofunctional therapy, it would delay my ability to start treatment with her but she always puts her patient's best interest at hand first. After getting the tongue tie release I started ortho treatment 9 months later. I have the highest praises for Dr. B and her entire staff. Her expertise and bedside manner is beyond amazing. SO, when I checked my mail I found a postcard for Dentistry in Bellevue, offering new patients $100 credit for any dental work or a free whitening case. Sounds intriguing enough, right? I was easily able to schedule an appointment online where Laura e-mailed me soon after, to schedule an appointment for a day I requested. EASIEST PROCESS EVER! Can't all appointments be this easy? The day of my appointment I was treated with the upmost care by all of the staff here. Dr. Jiwon examined my teeth and could not have been more friendly. He was also very personable and for someone who hates going to the dentist, it was a painless process. I was able to get a teeth cleaning and exam for an hour and a half where I walked out with some free goodies, which was not provided at my last dental office. Plus, since I came in with that promotional postcard/reference and didn't need any dental work done, I was able to save that $100 credit for a future visit, just in case. Waited for a long time and no any staff greeted and welcomed us. First, thought it was a very busy place, so we waited patiently. Then went back again and same situation. Sat on the floor for more than half hour, no one offered a chair to sit. When called for some good advice, the staff started to laugh and said they had no time to see us. We were very shocked to hear that. In addition, it always took so long to get a phone call reply when there's a question. Took a tooth out without any explanation and never asked for the permission. Never provide any legal paper to sign before the procedure either. To prevent any further misunderstanding, we wrote an appropriate letter to Dr and hope to have a clear and better communication before any necessary procedure. We were very shock to receive his very nasty reply. Included the Dr, no one apologized for their mistake. All they cared was $. It was a very sad experience because we never met a Dr like that before. We would highly recommend go to find a different Dr who is more patient and likes to take time explain the details well before starting any dental work. In addition, he/she would open his/her heart kindly and willing to listen patients' thoughts not blame everything on patients. That's not what a good Dr or a good customer service it should be.
