Dr. Garrett an exceptional dentist who has a genuine compassion for people, especially children. He values his patients which is evident in the way your child and you are treated as soon as you walk in the front door. My Sam, Fonz and Bella Bean has been under Dr. Garrett's care for 3 years now. My positive impression of him has only grown throughout the years and so has my respect and trust for him. He is like that "Good" uncle we love having our kids around...he is pretty funny, too & most importantly - KIND to my kids. I know that WE will all be sad when that day comes and my kids will outgrow his care :( Dr. Garrett's office is fun, clean, cozy and oh so inviting. His friendly staff are welcoming and professional - featured here is Louisa who assisted with the kids during today's visit. She's a doll btw :) His beautiful wife manages the business which to me adds that magical stamp and feeling that my kiddos are in excellent hands of family. If you are looking for that perfect Dentist to treat your child/rens dental need...LOOK NO further! If you are not satisfied with who you are currently taking them to...consider switching over! Trust that your child will be taken care of when they become part of Dr. Dr. Garrett Pediatric Dentistry family as his little patients. They will love him as much as mine do!!! Thank you Sheryl Ann Beltran for the referral from years ago!! So glad I listened to you! Hahhaha

We've been seeing Dr Garrett for 6 years now since my son was 10 months old! He's amazing! His staff is amazing! Because they established a friendship so early on, my son is so comfortable with treatment and cleans! Dr Garrett and his staff set such a high standard in pediatric dentistry that's it's remarkable! I'm so thankful that we chose Dr Garrett back in 2017 when my son was only 10 months old. One of the best decisions we've ever made! The staff is so patient and Dr Garrett is so knowledgeable and walks you through everything that is happening! Thank you Dr Garrett and Staff!

I honestly suggest everyone reading the reviews before bringing your being kids here. My brother had a lot of trust in this dentist and after the last experience (see photo) he wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt and bring his son back. Now he totally regret that he didn't listen. The other reviews mentioned there same issues we experienced. The crown he placed on came off and now he's refusing to fix it. As a pediatric dentist you should really consider the age group you are working with and be more understanding. I finally made an appointment for my nephew with another pediatric dentist in GREENHAVEN. Please avoid this place at all cost. I will work with the BBB on this business.

What an amazing place. You walk in and it's completely decked out with bright colors and everything is kid friendly. My immediate thought was man where was this kinda of place when I was a child . My 6 year old son had a very traumatic experience at a different place so I requested to be sent to another location. My health insurance found this place for me . I am overjoyed with the patience and professionalism every person that works here has. The second you walk your greeted by name which I love . The kids have books and tablets to play on . The place is extremely clean! Just all around great ! My son loves to go to The dentist now! We had 4 appointments for him all done within a month. They are very caring . From making sure the children are completely comfortable . Reassuring them with jokes and child conversation . To calling and checking in on the kids the next day ! This is one happy momma and I look forward to coming here again with my other children!

My 7 year old had me do my research before she trusted anyone to work on her mouth :p Many reviews and recommendations later we chose Dr Garrett. We are glad we did! Wait time has only been a few minutes both times we have gone. The visits are always super friendly and quick. Dr Garrett goes over the X-rays and explains the recommended treatments. He showed a few tools to my daughter and even let her hold them. My daughter had to have a capped molar extracted and a spacer put in to keep her surrounding teeth in place for the future permanent molar to grow in. The procedure was very relaxed and very quick! Less than 30 minutes we were in and out. Dr Garrett and his staff create a friendly, funny and calm atmosphere leaving kids confident to handle the current and future procedures. Thank you Dr Garrett & staff!

I really wanted to leave Dr Garrett a good review but I am here to report back otherwise. My daughter had a cavity the size of a pen tip.We saw several dentist for this and ultimately picked Dr Garrett because he seemed the most confident in filling the tooth. His price was higher by 20% but I was willing to spend the additional money because he made me feel confident in the work he was going to provide. The initial filling lasted 3 days. Within a 3 month period she had her tooth fixed by this office 3 times. Finally he decided that these fillings don't work for children of this age and has completely stopped fixing them. Awesome right? He realized what he provided to my family at a 20% higher cost than other dentist in Elk Grove doesn't actually work. I requested a refund because I did not receive the services I paid for and to top it off a portion of her tooth is gone from all the times "fixing" the initial filling they chiseled away at the tooth. No other dentist has interest in fixing my daughters tooth due to what is now left. What was once the size of a pen tip is now the size of a pen cap. No refund, waste of money, traumatized my daughter due to the frequency of the visits and now I have to find someone else to fix this!

Good choice, keeps your kid occupied.

My daughter is autistic and non-speaking and also has some medical trauma, so being in any clinical setting is understandably upsetting for her. She is petrified from the moment we walk in; she cries on and off, clings to me like a koala, and refuses to open her eyes from the second we enter the building, but is still pretty compliant with her (very basic) exam. We usually have to wait 15-20 minutes before being taken back, which doesn't help either, but I get it. Today we got some of the usual stares and eye-rolls when my daughter started getting upset, which I don't like but tolerate. We are used to it. My daughter's exam began first, and the hygienist was wonderful with her. She finished before my son was done, so I took my daughter outside to grandma and then returned for my son. When I came back, my daughter's hygienist was huddled up with my son's (he was halfway through his exam, still in the chair) having an animated, whispered conversation that switched topic as soon as the one facing the doorway saw that I had returned (she all of a sudden started pointing to a picture of three kids at my son's hygienist's work station and started more loudly talking about them). In all honestly, they might not have been talking about us or my daughter's behavior during our visit, but it felt like they were. And they obviously knew that they looked like they were, since they so obviously changed the topic and manner in which they were speaking, and then abruptly ended the conversation. And as a nurse, believe me I get it. We all need to vent after a difficult assignment. But as the parent of a disabled child, it stings. I've come to expect this kind of behavior from average people when we're out and about, but in a professional/medical setting I expect better. It caught me off guard. We will probably continue to come here, because we have had mostly good experiences and I know everyone has an off day. It's also entirely possible that we were not the topic of conversation between these two hygienists, but it certainly seemed like we were, and it continues to bother me. My daughter does the best that she can, and it usually isn't "good enough" by most people's standards, but I am very, very proud of her and her progress. Maybe save the personal conversations about your patients for when they've left for the day.

After finally getting the procedure scheduled, I paid the required deposit. When my child received the necessary services elsewhere, I canceled the procedure approximately two months before the scheduled surgery date. Despite providing significant advance notice and the procedure never taking place, the office refused to refund the deposit. The staff wasn't just knowledgeable they were professional, caring and kind. They took they time to fully evaluate my little guy even though he was trying to elope and scream through their building. They were totally understanding that this was just out of his little wheel house of remotely ok and they strove to figure out how best to sooth and connect with a child who will do everything in his power when hurt to not do that. They also knew when to lay off and let him be. It was all really impressive. When I became over whelmed and started to cry the doctor made me feel human and that she saw I was a mother doing the best I could while my son was rolling on the ground in the parking lot refusing to come in. We told her that and she was like welll.. so I then intervened and said well can you reschedule the appointment then or is there any other availability for today... I didn't understand why I had to ask her to be more helpful?? She got an attitude and then the girl behind her said there was availability for 2pm so I responded yeah can we rebook that time since we're already here? Then the First Lady at the front we originally spoke to said she needed to speak with the doctor first to check his availability. When he came out she whispered but I overheard her immediately state "they came in but their appointment is cancelled. We have an appointment at 2pm but should we scheduled them?" He looked at her confused and said "What, yeah.. why not. If we have an opening at 2pm book then at 2pm" She looked like she didn't want to do it and with an attitude started handing him his paperwork. We all love Dr. Min, and their previous hygienist Ari who was phenomenal--knowledgeable, compassionate, and truly exceptional. Unfortunately, our experience today was very disappointing. I brought my 82-year-old father, who has dementia, to his appointment. He has been a patient there for years. As soon as we walked in, something felt different. There were several new staff members, and the person at the front desk was rude and lacked basic customer service. We were then taken for X-rays. I mentioned that my father only has X-rays once a year unless there is a specific concern. He has never had ongoing dental issues that would require them more frequently. When we were taken to the treatment room, the basic hygienist, Carina Sanchez, came in. I was finishing an important phone call from my father's doctor's office that lasted less than 10 seconds. Instead of waiting a brief moment, she abruptly said, "I'll come back when you're off the phone." I ended the call before she even left the room. It quickly became clear that she had not reviewed my father's chart. I explained that he has dementia, is 82 years old, and that I am his Power of Attorney, so I would answer any necessary questions. She insisted he answer for himself. Even after I explained his condition again, she continued to speak down to me. During the periodontal probing, my father was clearly in pain. He has never experienced pain or discomfort during this part of a dental exam before. I told her she was being far too rough with him. Rather than adjusting her technique, she insisted he needed to be numbed before the probing and cleaning. Again, I explained that this had never been necessary in all the years he has been treated there. Her bedside manner was insensitive, and she showed very little patience or compassion toward an elderly patient with dementia. I asked to speak with Dr. Min. When she came in, I expressed my concerns and mentioned the recent negative reviews I had been seeing about changes in the office. Dr. Min was empathetic and listened to my concerns. I also made it clear that I did not want this hygienist treating my father. I was offered another cleaning appointment at 2:00 p.m., but that did not work with my father's schedule. I then went to the front desk to reschedule his cleaning. I waited for over 20 minutes, and no one acknowledged me or offered assistance. This experience was completely unlike the care we had come to expect from Strawberry Creek Dental. My biggest concern is not simply customer service--it is the lack of compassion, patience, and respect shown to an elderly patient with dementia. Healthcare providers should take the time to review a patient's history, communicate respectfully with caregivers, and treat vulnerable patients with dignity. I sincerely hope the office addresses these issues so that other families do not have a similar experience
