I brought my Kids to get their routine eye exams The staff are very helpful and attentive usually my kids get scared going to any type of doctors but they were very relaxed here. My son has to wear glasses he likes these blue Oakley frames so I told him I'll get them on our next visit. I hope they are still available on our next visit. Big thanks to the assistant Denise she is very helpful. the location is very clean inside they have parking in the front depending what time you go there the front parking slots might be full but they have free parking in the back area. read more

Came in for a new pair of sunglasses. Yamilex was amazing. From the minute I walked in, she was very welcoming and showed me a selection of sunglasses that would compliment my face shape. While I was trying on different styles, she went ahead and pulled my insurance which was very time efficient. When I made up my mind, she went over the benefits and I finalized my purchase. About two weeks ago, I walked only to be helped by Yamilex. She inspected my current frame and recommended a new frame and lens. I am thankful for her because she was very honest and informed me that the frames may be too delicate to only swap out the lens which would be more costly. I chose some new frames out and received my new glasses shortly after placing my order. When I went to pick up my glasses, Yamilex provided excellent service, taking my measurements and make sure the bifocals transition were perfect. read more

The doctors are great, very thorough. However the technicians are horrible. Every single tech I've had the misfortune of interact with recently (Dec. '24 - Jan'25) had the ugliest attitude. Which is such a shame since they use to have the friendliest staff and it was the primary reason i continued coming to this place year after year despite the location. Management needs to check their staff . I can understand being tired of interacting with people all day long but it's literally part of their job - Do better. This place is ridiculous. They make you wait 40 minutes just to pick up some contact lenses, the girls in the front desk are too busy chitchatting to attend the customers they're just talking about what they ate rather than attending the people that are coming in. Maybe you guys should start telling the girls in the front to start doing something instead of just chatting all day and start attending the customers and that way when someone goes in they won't have to wait 40 minutes to pick up a pair of contact lenses. I love this place. Dr.Hernandez is very attentive and down to earth. I've only had pleasant experiences with all of the staff. The wait time can sometimes be a little long, but in my case I have needed to dilate my pupils. The wait time comes from the waiting for my pupils to dilate. I don't understand some of the bad reviews complaining about too many family members being in the waiting room. And my last straw has been drawn, I've been trying to fix my sons glasses for over 4 months each time I go in there's a issue that the computers are down that there's no one who can fix them. For a community based optometry I love the great selection they have. I went in and they accepted my medical (not many places accept it in the area). I've been to other optometrists and they would charge me 300+ $ for a pair of glasses with hi index and anti- glare, here I could get two pairs for that price. Also the staff is amazingly sweet and patient and even with Covid19 any one can try on frames. They have a young lady that sanitizes the frames, seats, doors, tables, and checks patients temperature. Edit: My sister's case has been resolved and has received a partial reimbursement for her glasses. Hugo was very understanding about the situation and tried his best to help my sister out. My sister has been trying to get a pair of glasses from this establishment for nearly a month now. After her first eye exam, she received a pair of glasses that were not the correct prescription. She had to go for a second eye exam, only to later receive a pair of glasses that did not include a feature (anti-glare) that she paid for. The office allowed my sister to keep the glasses with the missing feature in the meantime while the third pair arrived, but she has been getting headaches because of the lack of anti-glare (she's had recurring headaches since the first pair of glasses). Furthermore, the office's associates claim that their supplier is to blame for the glasses' shortcomings, though they refused to compensate my sister for the inconvenience. Essentially, this renders their clientele as collateral damage because of this office's poor taste in suppliers. I understand that we are currently in a pandemic, but I believe that we've had enough time to adjust, especially when a billion dollar company like Carl Zeiss is involved. Overall, I'm very disappointed with this service and regret referring my friends and family to this place. read more

This place is not what it seems. I went to the optometrist with my mom and found many problems. When we got our glasses, they needed to be fixed in terms of the glasses. They were loose and different from how we paid for them. Not to mention their measurements on the glasses had to be double-checked due to their team's faulty examination. I grew up coming to this location for over 10years, when they were located between Saturn on pacific. I recently moved and changed insurance plans. Since it was time for my check up I called on Monday 11.4 to make an appointment Gloria made my appointment even after I told her my situation of a different insurance. Once I got to my appointment 11.6. As always wait time is over 20mins, I get my name called after a 20plus mins waiting to be told that my insurance isn't cover!!! Wait, I call Monday and told the lady over the phone I was with kaiser if I still went with them to check my eyes and was told yes and proceed with booking me in. Of course once I said I wanted to talk to a manger the front desk girl said she was manager (typical) and I said well what can we do about this situation cause I spend over half an hour here and pay parking . She told me to sit while she talk to her supervisor. Another 20mins pass , and I got up to be told , supervisor had step out if I wanted to continue to wait. Wow , MANGER did it occur to call me up to let me know and not just have me waste time .NOPE. I said well your management and can't do anything and supervisor is no where to be found. Who do I need to talk with the doctor? Now this is where is got creepy . I was send to a room in the back with no light , only the light just nearly coming from the hallway. I told the doctor as soon as I saw him. Dr.Hernandez , I didn't feel comfortable what where we going to do there. He then just went on explaining me what I already knew and the reason I called on Monday while booking the appointment. He said all he can do was offer me a discount on a pair of selective glasses meaning the knock offs. And for me to pay the exam. I then told him to explain to me, why would I pay for an exam when I just found out to go to my kaiser Facility . What would be the point of me paying ? All I wanted was to get Reimburse for my parking because of his staff Disclaimer. It wasn't fair I had to do a drive from pico Rivera . And well you can guess he didn't .
