I've been going to Dr. James Acupuncture for a couple of months and highly recommend the office. The woman that runs the office is extremely helpful and kind. I am disability retired and have been a pain management patient for many years. It is not easy to find good offices that accept insurance as well as workers comp. I have been seeing Ary for massage and she has been great! I have now started seeing Dr. Yong Jun (aka Dr. James) for acupuncture for my workers comp injury and he is excellent! Dr. James is very knowledgeable, has a very kind welcoming demeanor, and really takes the time to learn about your specific issues. I had been waiting after a few treatments to post. Dr. James is remarkable! He's extremely knowledgeable and kind. Ample parking, office located on 1st floor, very clean location and professional office staff, everyone there is very nice. I found Dr. James when I decided to continue alternative, holistic medicine, which I've done pretty much my entire life. Dr. James specializes in treating chronic back issues and sciatica. Everything was explained thoroughly after going over questionnaires and giving responses. The rooms are very comfortable, so are the beds and soft soothing sounds . The eucalyptus applied to the back smells very aromatic and feels amazing. The treatment starts with a light massage to stimulate the body and then the rub is applied and then needles, afterwards the massage therapist comes in and helps with what feels like a lymphatic drainage massage, feels Iike but I know it's not, it feels like she's expunged the toxins. I felt amazing afterwards like in a dream state. My body and mind felt so relaxed! I felt better within a few hours, I began taking the herbals for back inflammation which help with blood circulation and inflammation, twice a day. I've been feeling the best I've ever felt without a chiropractor and the uncomfortable cracking and adjustments, I've been walking 4 miles and feeling so good! Horrible horrible horrible! I went to this office years ago before I met the best acupuncturist ever! Unfortunately, during covid she moved out of state. So I am on the search again. I visited this office and completely forgot I had been there before until...he said I'm the doctor. The first time I went, I went on my lunch hour and spent 45 minutes listening to him telling me I am a doctor and I need to drink water. Without knowing me because ALL I DRINK IS WATER! The second time I went, he started again with I'm the doctor and need to drink water. After 15 minutes I told him "I have been to acupuncture many times. My current acupuncturist moved out of state and I'm in search for a new one. I have tendinitis in my elbow and pain in my hip. I just need acupuncture to help with that." I first started going to Dr. Jun at Dr. James Acupuncture a year ago, and working with him and his staff has benefited my life immeasurably. Both my husband and I have regular treatments, which has either completely cured or lessened multiple ailments. I came in with carpal tunnel syndrome (to the point where I woke up in pain every morning and utensils would just slip out of my hands), and have not had a recurrence for over 6 months. Dr. James is amazing!! He treated both my husband and my Mom. My husband had the worst hip pain and was unable to even lift his feet to get into the showers. For IBD patients, or anyone diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis or Crohn's disease, I would highly recommend making an appointment with Dr. James. At the very least, he will motivate you towards a path of healing. Ultimately, I believe the treatment by Dr. James (which includes acupuncture, massage, and general counseling) allows your body to enter a state of healing which is necessary to improve any chronic disease. Before receiving care from Dr. James, I was experiencing multiple bowel movements involving loose watery stool, blood, and mucous. I would experience 10 or more of these painful urgent bowel movements per day. I now experience 3 or less bowel movements with minimal blood and mucous. The bowel movements are no longer severely urgent and seem to be regular. I am confident that the amount of blood and mucous will disappear with consistent treatment by Dr. James. I had very low energy and never felt like doing anything. I called the office to briefly explain my recent Bell's palsy diagnoses and to see if they could take me in last minute. They insisted my Bell's palsy was an emergency and kept their business open for me, despite being booked and about to close for the day, to come in and get a consultation and acupuncture done. While Doctor James considers himself to be "not too smart", he is more than smart when it comes to acupuncture. I had debilitating back pain. I was loosing sleep, in great pain, taking way too many anti inflammatory drugs and pain medications. I decided it was time to give acupuncture a try. Prior to coming to Dr. James I was being treated by another acupuncturist for plantar fasciitis and hand pain. I was not impressed with the other acupuncturist as I felt she didn't know her stuff and her technique was mediocre at best. I decided to give acupuncture another chance and seek out Dr. James. I felt at the first appointment he was very thorough, he asked me questions and wanted to get to know me as a person. He is very knowledgeable and advised me on some lifestyle changes to improve my overall well-being. He is very skilled as his needle insertion is virtually painless. Even with inserting needles in a very sensitive area (my heel) he was gentle and walked me through every part of it to make sure I was feeling okay. After my acupuncture treatment, he also did some adjustments and massages. I received treatments from what it seems to be the work of a massage therapist, a chiropractor, and an acupuncturist all in one appointment. I've suffered from feet pain and hand pain for too long so it will take some time and further treatments to alleviate my pain but I don't mind at all as each treatment with Dr. James is always relaxing and therapeutic.
