So I had called on Friday (the week I did the exam) to follow up and said can I send them from my portal directly to you and they said no they had to receive the results directly from quest. So I had to call quest and tell them to send the results to them and even quest said that it is not my responsibility to be doing so and that del valle clinic should've been the one to call to do it on my behalf. I should not have had to be the middle man in this process ESPECIALLY with how much I paid. Every. Single. Day. Counts. When we are under the current presidency of Trump so it's so crucial that things are pushed through in a timely manner because laws change from one day to the next and I should not have had to wait on a medical exam for this long given the current times. I started noticing changes around 48; my moods were off - patience was fragile which is not like me; eventually, terrible hot flashes started, and pretty much everything else started going sideways: mental fog, exhaustion, terrible sleep, and absolutely zero libido. I tried everything to find relief, the natural remedies, the over the counters, relaxation audio, yoga, massage.. omg what haven't I tried. I waited longer, did more reading and research and finally decided I had to do something - I was tired of feeling.. tired. Tired of whatever was causing me to feel definitely not me. My "pellet" ingredients were manufactured based on this report and how we wanted to approach treatment, ease in, or full board, and I anxiously awaited my next appointment to get them. I was a bit nervous when I went back; I didn't know what to expect... and honestly, the local anesthetic was more "scary than the procedure itself. But, now that I've had my second, it was a piece of cake. The incision itself is very, very small, covered with a surgical strip and then another water proof bandage over. General mood/energy - I felt like a frickin' tiger about 3/4 of the way through the first three months (and before your next pellet session) in which the hormones start naturally tapering, and each upcoming load generally increases baseline, so you begin to keep a higher base level. She continued to "educate me" on the "why" and "what" reasons and coverages set by my insurance, not the facility. She was still grossly incorrect in the information. She explained to me that I first have to satisfy my deductible and or maximum out-of-pocket limits Anthem set and that is the "why" the estimated out-of-pocket of $811.45 was accurate and that $800 of that amount is going to satisfy the deductible. I was already under stress, fear, and uncertainty about the dates radiological procedures because my paternal aunt just died of metastasized breast cancer which also engulfed her bones. So now I've got an employee lecturing me at length as to "why this information of $811.45 is absolutely correct as per my health insurance and the mandatory deductible due". I have a soft spot for this Emanuel Cancer Center and have been having my female health needs done here when I could go elsewhere. I have just always felt as safe as I could while here.
