Bad move. Wait list was 2 months for a new patient appointment. When I got there I checked in at 10:10am. At 12:10pm I gave up and walked out. You only get one chance to make a first impression. If you have an APPOINTMENT, you should not be having to wait over 2 hours without being seen. Complete waste of a morning. Gave the extra star since the Urgent Care was nice and the employees I dealt with seemed nice.

Confused not really sure what to do or how to start this lady has the nerve to tell me I "dropped the ball" yet... I'm there in her office, "ball" in hand already feeling defeated by the situation and in to addition the leg braces he has to wear that make him immobile ..this no help, she was incredibly insensitive and highly unprofessional. Single mom taking time off work to address my son's health, doing the best I can with what I got and some lady decides to tell me I'm not doing good enough?!? I've dropped the ball?!? Where is she to help out? People love to judge a situation but offer no help or understanding. I was in office to obtain professional guidance, support assistance and instead got a rude so called doctor who barely even examined my child and was more concerned with my insurance situation then giving a complete physical. He was supposed to call in an allergy medicine and he forgot to do that, eventhough he sure got those pap appointments lined up for me. Today I found out I have pneumonia. Could have been prevented. So its a big no and possible law suit because thw last two months has been torture for me. Whwn I called to tell them there was no prescription called in he went ahead and called in a script for vertigo...what? Really. That place stinks and they need to shut it down. I've had a few issues coming here…read more I'm in my 20s with normal Pap smears and he'd want to do them every 6 months! Every doctor I've asked said that's completely unnecessary. He'd also want to do blood work every 3 months. Again, I'm healthy. Staff is rude and unwelcoming. Last year I went in after not seeing Dr Say in a couple years, medical assistant asked if I had kids yet. I said no, and she responded "oh, I thought that's why you gained weight." Thanks for the reminder that I gained 20 lbs. Also, you get billed over and over again even after you've paid your balance. Just seems like a money hungry practice.

This doctor has 40+ years of experience…read more Medically speaking, there isn't much he hasn't dealt with over the years that he has been practicing. He is about as close to a family doctor with a black bag as you can get today. In my opinion, he a is very caring professional. He is old fashioned, in that, he hasn't bought into the Obomacare BS and spent thousands of dollars to computerize his practice. Many of his colleges with their own private practices have closed their doors due to the burdensome and unnecessarily expensive requirements of Obomacare. His refusal to do this has allowed his office to remain in business and for him to give his patients quality care for more than 5-15 allocated minutes each visit. One of the requirements for his patients is that everybody must have a complete physical every year. I have had other doctors tell me that they don't even get annual physicals as complete as Dr. Say gives. They were impressed. My wife and I have been using his services since 2012, when I was diagnosed with multiple myeloma. Since 2012, my wife and I have had some life threatening illnesses. Were it not for his help and effective referrals, I do believe my wife and I would be dead today. I dread the day he closes his practice! Then I waited in the lobby for 35 mins before being called back to see Dr. Kano. I then waited in the back room for another hour. No contact from any of the staff to tell me what was going on, it was very frustrating. I ultimately left the appointment and said I did not want to be charged for this appointment or want my insurance company charged. We'll see what happens with that. I have had this problem at this clinic before. I tried switching from the Merced location to the Atwater location with no better treatment. I do not recommend Dr. Kano as he never listens to my heart with a stethoscope. I was diagnosed with an irregular heartbeat last September 2024 from a different Dr. I was concerned, & immediately reached out to my primary care Dr Kano. His staff he could not see me until December of 2024 . Clearly no regard for my health. I asked for a referral to a heart specialist & was told they don't do referrals? Dr. Kano never listens to my lungs, even when I came in with bronchitis? So many concerns. I'm very let down by Dr. Kano. He has had me on a high blood pressure prescription for about 15 years. I have had fainting spells, and my blood pressure from my doctor visits have always been low. When I became alarmed to my lack of care in Merced County, I went to a different doctor in Southern California, they immediately took me off this medication. My blood pressure is now within regular parameters. I have had no more fainting spells. Run screaming from this doctor he is completely unqualified & uncaring.
