I have been going here for over 2 1/2 years. My previous Doctor retired. I called them got an appointment in very reasonable time. I never wait more than 5 min. to be seen. They have taken very good care of me. My Doctor even called me at home to check up on an important test I had to get. I am very happy. I had my other Doctor for 30 plus years. Over a month after first calling them for a new patient visit. Filed out the online form as requested on their portal. Contacted them multiple times to follow up. All for nothing. Few responses that led to nothing (screen shots below). Don't waste your time they don't need any more business or patients from the look of it. Last message was from me on 10-1. Meadowcrest says they return calls within 24 hrs. My experience is not so... after waiting a week I finally called their office myself.

I have been with Dr. Alex over 10 years and never had a bad experience. I send a text about a medical question and he responds quickly. He diagnosed a blockage in my Carotid artery by just looking and feeling it, there was a 90% blockage and he probably saved my life. I will continue to see him as long as I'm able. I have always been treated with great respect due a person of my age (79) and never had a bad experience with any of the staff. Mike Hudson read more

Front staffing is absolutely horrible(the new scheduling women); very rude and should not allowed to work in healthcare. I have worked in healthcare for over 10years and I would never speak to a patient the way she did. And now refusing care because I made a personal compliant about her. It's so sad because I heard the doctors are amazing but terrible front office service. So beware make sure you let them treat you like trash and if you stick up for yourself they will refuse your care! Will be reporting to the medical better bureau! read more

Made an appt. drove my sickly Mother there, 88 years old. They said you don't have an appt. I said I just called Alisha this morning she told us to come in that's all that's available take it or don't , They refused service after their mistake and yes its true they don't give a damn about their patients, YES do yourself a favor and find another Doctor, talk about uncaring, no empathy, just plain stupid!!!!!, UNWELCOME AT MEADOWCREST Crystal River. 2025. i enjoyed going here very much. they have a same day care building with a blood draw area! never have i been disappointed with them. I see Megan and she listens to me and follows up! They switched insurance companies so I can no longer afford them and wow this is a hard decision for sure. The office staff has always been good to me and polite. My husband and I are patients and have been so for a few years. I find that the staff is wonderful and friendly as well as efficient. At various times I have seen most of the PAs as well as my regular physician who is Dr. Ryan. We love him and find he has been supportive and a great listener. Save yourself some trouble and steer far away from this office. They are not 8n the business to help people although it may look that way. The business is unprofessional and derogatory to patients especially if the are older. They do not listen or care when a person has issues, instead choosing to interrupt, cut you off repeatedly even if asked to stop and even sunk so low as to call the police when confronted with frustration. AGEISM exists in this office and they thrive on disrespect and bad manners. This comes from the office Doctors ad well as the staff. Unprofessional and lacking in simple human kindness toward patients. If you value yourself, steer clear of Meadowcrest Family Physicians. read more

My husband and I were patients here for a long time. Then it became quite strange. They would not complete forms for my insurance, would order lab work to be done elsewhere but refuse to send a referral to my insurance and to Quest. Would not go over my lab results after they finally sent the referral. Refused to help with paperwork so I could get my diabetes medicine cheaper. They were treating my depression but yet causing me stress and more depression. It made no sense to treat a 64 year old in this manner. Thankfully we both have a better local general practitioner now. I receive referrals and my diabetes medicine is at no cost now. We are pleased to have a physician that puts our health first. I was on an HMO with this office but switched to a PPO thru AARP. If you have great insurance they like and do not require referrals or paperwork this could be your place. Otherwise they treat you horrible if you have an HMO or just Medicare. read more
