Now the school removed my child because they don't have enough resources to handle typical toddler behavior. My kid had 4 incidents during the last 8 months (kicking, throwing things, etc.) and apparently that is too much for them to handle. They expect kids to be socialized before entering their program.

Instead of protecting students, certain staff members contributed to an environment where bullying and emotional abuse were ignored--or worse, encouraged. When issues were brought to the attention of teachers or administrators, they were often dismissed, minimized, or turned back on the student. Some staff spoke in demeaning, sarcastic, or intimidating ways, which made students feel unsafe and powerless. Rather than intervening, adults in authority sometimes sided with aggressors or treated students as if they were the problem for speaking up. The lack of accountability was extremely damaging. Policies against bullying seemed to exist only on paper, with little to no follow-through. Students were left feeling unheard, anxious, and afraid to attend school. A school should be a place of learning and growth, not fear. Until this institution takes real responsibility, provides proper training for staff, and genuinely listens to students, it fails to meet even the most basic standards of care and safety.

Family movie nights, jog a thon festivities, beautiful school murals, Best Foot Forward reading program, Book Fairs, Red Ribbon Week and Art Masters it is truly amazing! Reading is a huge priority at Moffett!!! They are always helping foster a love of reading in kids through their one of a kind BFF reading program (I can honestly say my kids LOVE for reading started with this program), their outstanding and caring librarian and from all the Teachers! I always see kids with a book in hand, it is wonderful. The art programs at this school are nothing I have ever seen at an Elementary level. The choir and music teacher puts on the most incredible performances, including a full Musical at the end of the year! The lion King, Aladdin, Dr Seuss, and Finding Nemo to name a few! Her dedication to making music fun and giving kids a chance to gain confidence through music is so inspiring and she is loved by all the kids! Their art program and art room at Moffett is so unique and gives kids a place to create and experiment and really foster their creative brain with pottery/sculpting, painting and printmaking. My 6th grader still goes back and visits his teachers from time to time. Every single teacher is amazing. No requests needed. I'm going to miss this era of their education. As a parent there were so many opportunities to volunteer on campus and in the classroom. The PTA hosts so many extra circulars too. Made it easy to get to know the other parents and families at the school too. Thank you Mr. Holbrook, Mrs. Brady and the entire staff for teaching, loving and mentoring my boys.

I went to this school when I was an 1st grade and I had tons (and even mean tons) of experience of going there and having fun and talking to other kids. I still shocked that I still remember the memories that I had in this school (it been 5-6 years). After all that experience is gone when I went to move to Harbor View (which that school is okay at best), I still prefer going to this school. Overall the school is kinda quiet and very very nice (yes I caught myself typing "very" twice). The teachers were outstanding at teaching and caring for other students that are needed for help and I never caught my teachers ever being mean to others. The students are... will... the same, they are very nice and caring for others and easy to make friends. The people that worked at the administration office (or the office in general), are very nice and easy to talk too (there were never strict to kids). But however if you are looking for an kid elementary school, I recommending you to pick this elementary school due to very nice environment and nice people!!! There is one teacher for every ten kids in the classroom, allowing for individual attention. Any behavioral problems are quickly addressed and resolved in a constructive manner that equips students with tools to handle future conflicts. I hate to admit this, but when I compare the way Pegasus first graders interact during free play to the way his public school friends interact, I see a dramatic difference. Pegasus kids are problem solvers; they calm conflicts and seek solutions. Maybe it's a selection bias at the admissions level, but in the end, who cares? I'm proud of my child on the playground and of what he has learned academically. Fingers crossed this continues in his future experiences.
