This is a rather large place In terms of square footage…read morebut it seems like maybe once upon a time it was a hospital or office building but they aren't making full use of the space. I was in and out in less than an hour. Seems many are there for drug tests. I was there due to strep. I didn't feel like the doctor was very attentive - kinda matter of fact and brief. I had to ask him for a prescription- he didn't want to give me meds. I was literally in so much discomfort...he said it wasn't strep- Ran the test- I have had strep before and knew that was a wrong diagnosis. I took the meds I asked for and I was fine- not really any thanks to this place. Basically I was grateful that he gave me a prescription because he didn't do much else.

This place sucks. I've been here two times and both times resulted in crappy experiences…read more 1st time: Getting a physical done for a clinical rotation. There was maybe 2 other people ahead of me. Waited about a hour before I got called in to a room. Waited close to 2 hours while in the room for a total wait of 3 hours. I expected it to be slow based off reviews and I was okay with that. Finally, an Asian doctor finally came in and was so rude to me. She threatened me that if I didn't do as she said she would fail my physical. She literally would give me a second to react. She made me feel so stupid and would tell me incorrect things when little did she know I knew what she was doing since I'm in the healthcare profession too. 2nd time: Needed a TB test done but could only go after work and they were the only option. Everything was fine till I needed to get the test read. The staff looked at my arm and questioned if I have a positive test. I told her it's always a little red but there's never any bump or issues. She got a second opinion and I got cleared, no biggie. The problem began when she couldn't find my paperwork to clear me. Are you kidding? You would think reading a TB test would be quick, but no, I had to waste my night here waiting. She tried to tell me she would send the results to my job, which was a cop out to get me off her hands in the mean time. Ended up waiting 45+ minutes for her to "look". She came off as if it was a honor for her to look for my paperwork to clear me. BS place, will never be back.

While every member of the ICU staff treated my brother with compassion, professionalism, and dignity, I would like to especially thank nurses Eric, Randy, and Olga, ICU physician Dr. Kakal, social worker Heather, and the entire ICU team for the exceptional care they provided throughout his 44-day ICU stay. Each person brought something unique to our family's experience. Olga was a source of comfort and reassurance whenever I felt overwhelmed and needed guidance. Eric showed extraordinary patience and gentleness with my brother, even on the most difficult days. No matter how challenging the situation became, he treated him with kindness and respect. Randy had a special way of connecting with my brother and earning his trust. When my brother wasn't listening to the rest of us, Randy somehow always knew how to reach him. Heather, our social worker, helped guide our family through difficult decisions and conversations with compassion and professionalism. Her support during an incredibly challenging time was deeply appreciated. Beyond providing excellent medical care, these individuals supported our family through an incredibly difficult journey. They reminded us that healthcare is not just about medicine, it is also about humanity. I would also like to recognize the volunteers at the visitor check-in desk on the first floor. They were always welcoming when I arrived to visit my brother, and after his passing, they showed our family tremendous compassion and kindness that I will never forget. My experience in the ICU made me proud to be a UCLA alumna. I will always be grateful for the care, dignity, and respect shown to my brother and our family. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Rushing people through security clearance without a care and aggressively as 'we' were wasting his time. Geraldo Cesar Chezz was on phone, unprofessional to patients/families and immediate co-workers who complained to other security staff on site. Geraldo Cesar Chezz went back and forth to the nurse's main secured area erratically as if playing like a child foregoing service to humans... He engaged in flirty personal conversations with nursing staff. Terrible! *** Dr. and work staff of visit were good. Communication to patient was a bit off and not clarified....Understanding that their is prioritization, severely extended wait time went unexplained until patient had to ask status. The two males in the imaging portion of the hospital told the elderly patient to put her necklace in her mouth? It could have broken inside her mouth and she could have choked, not to mention a daily wear necklace is dirty most of the time. The two males were confident in their request and acted as if I was out of line, when they went against a standard procedure for many years!

Venue 4 stars: They share a 3 story building with Facey Medical, a bunch of smaller medical offices and a pharmacy. UCLA Health occupies the entire 3rd floor, which is accessed by elevators. Staff 4 stars: Professional, friendly, efficient and helpful. Services 2 stars: They used to be a full-service one stop destination for a routine medical visit. However, as of recently they have permanently shut down their on-site lab, and now you have to go to a different UCLA location for lab work such as blood count, etc. This essentially doubles your effort for the same outcome! I'd like to quote my fellow Yelper Francis L on this: "It's like if your bagel shop said, we don't carry cream cheese any more, you are gonna have to drive an hour to our sister store to get the cream cheese." :D I am still at a loss why they did this... The lab was always very busy whenever I was there. Appointments 2 stars: Some physicians, usually the better rated ones ;), do not accept new patients. Also, getting a routine appointment can take months. The physician however will usually try to accommodate if you are an existing patient and have an urgent need. They also do Tele-Health. Billing 4 stars: They accept Medicare/Medi-Cal and most PPO insurance plans. The Bottom Line 3 stars: Would have been a 4, but the lack of an on site lab brings it down a notch. Still the most convenient option for me.

I was finally getting close to that appointment date when I was called and informed the doctor will not be in office on that day. When I called to re-schedule my annual physical, the soonest available appointment with that doctor was not for 4 months! I asked for any doctor at a sooner time and the soonest available was not for 2 months. Also, UCLA Porter Ranch's handling of my insurance is not correct. Verbally by phone, I confirm my insurance with every phone call. I was referred to physical therapy in mid-April 2026. My referral never went to my insurance because UCLA stated on the referral that I do not have any insurance. This prevented me from getting scheduled with physical therapy for a painful and debilitating condition. When I asked how I can voice my concerns, I was told I can be called back but I cannot directly call the clinical manager at a time that works in my schedule. This is the kind of care you can anticipate at the UCLA Porter Ranch location for primary care.

Each of them took the time to listen carefully to my concerns and made me feel genuinely cared for throughout my visit. What impressed me the most was that they did not rush the process despite the high patient volume. They made sure I received the proper evaluation and testing, while also explaining everything clearly so that I could fully understand what was happening and feel confident about the care I was receiving. Their attention, patience, and compassion truly gave me peace of mind. It is clear that this team takes pride in the care they provide and truly values their patients. The receptionist was amazingly friendly professional courteous and helped a lot to fill out the paperwork, but The nurse and the practitioner Lin didn't seem too enthusiastic to be there or show any care, He did attend to my infected finger but it was or I felt it was a very quick fix just because it was before closing. I have attached picture of my finger two days after he attended it supposedly he cleaned it and it was all to be okay but this was the result after 2 days. I tried going back when the infection came back much worse but come to find out I had to pay again to be reevaluated for the same finger that they worked on 2 days ago so I decided to go somewhere else where they were amazing The amount of time they spend on my finger to make sure it's clean and administered antibiotic cream on it then wrapping it nicely so it doesn't repeat itself, not like EXER where the nurse practitioner just squeeze it a little bit made a quick job didn't put any antibiotic lotion on it and just a quick lousy Band-Aid. Do not go to this location.
