TL;DR: Waited 3 hours (two in reception, 1 in test area), and was subsequently told there were still two people before me. Although "Emergencies" get priority, there were just four or five people before me, shirts. It itched a little, but did not hurt when I blinked. Fast forward to Monday and now it is beginning to hurt, in addition to show a small puffiness around the lid. No release, but it does not mean much.While driving back from falling off family in the airport, I still have my wife call my insurance to locate a listing of urgent maintenance around our flat. We move in and I put my name back on the sign in sheet, so being told there is 1 walk forward of me. Fine, maybe not a huge thing. It is about 5:00, so I am thinking maybe we will get out by 6. No issue. She says that my policy was confirmed and that I must be called soon. Soon being a relative term, as I waited another hour and a half prior to being called in, granted a fast exam from the helper, then advised to wait and go back at the lobby since they're short on chambers. Wow. Alright, so I wait for yet another 10-ish minutes and they phone me back in. It is now near 7. The practice is formally closed, today (7:30pm closing time), and I am wondering if they'd forgotten about me. Nope, my graph is at the doorway. So, since the nurse moves by, I ask if it's going to be more. Now, both my spouse and I had been done waiting. While I know it is good policy to deal with "Emergencies" first, I had been in for what could be pink-eye. It might have taken the physician less than 5 minutes to examine my attention, decide exactly what it is, and then send me on my way without or without a prescription. The simple fact that they were utilizing the "active Monday" justification was unacceptable, since their workplace did not seem very active. US Healthworks on practically every day has three times the amount of individuals, and their wait times are rather low. In actuality, I have been to a different little practice in Simi Valley with a comparable amount of individuals, and I had been in and out in under one hour. While I really do love being granted a refund for not being viewed, I'd have appreciated it even more if they'd been upfront and honest in their wait. When walking through the doorway, I had been told that the wait could exceed two hours, I'd have called my GP's office (that was still available for an additional 10 minutes) and requested to see him immediately. read more

I hope that they are nothing like the doctor I experienced and the staff that worked there. No response. I called them the next day, one person told me they would send the prescription over to the pharmacy, she was then interrupted by a doctor who told me "we can't refill prescriptions on the weekend because your doctor isn't here to prescribe it to you". I thought that was strange that they couldn't have another doctor prescribe it to me (by the way it's a topical solution for Acne, not a narcotic or anything harmful or that could be abused). I said ok, and I would try back on Monday. Monday rolls around and I have the pharmacy FAX over a request because they wanted a fax. The pharmacy called MULTIPLE times, faxed MULTIPLE times, I called MULTIPLE times and spoke with several members of the team, including the doctor. This went back and forth for a while, saying they faxed the pharmacy (even though the pharmacy received no fax). Since the pharmacy received no notification that they could refill my prescription, the head pharmacist called the doctors office and then called me to leave this message. "they can't refill your prescription because: 1. they are an urgent care facility and 2. you have to go in and schedule an appointment" Some people may think that's dumb, but first of all I'm from out of state and just moved here. I also think this could have been resolved if THEY HAD JUST TOLD ME THEY COULDN'T REFILL MY PRESCRIPTION IN THE FIRST PLACE. They wasted my time, their time, and most importantly office patients time. DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR UNLESS YOU WANT INADEQUATE AND UNPROFESSIONAL SERVICE. I expect that they're nothing like the physician I experienced along with the team that worked there. No reply. I called them the following day, 1 person told me that they would send the prescription over to the drugstore, she was subsequently interrupted by a physician who told me "we can not refill prescriptions on the weekend as your doctor is not here in order to prescribe it for you". I thought that was odd that they could not have another physician prescribe it to me personally (incidentally it is a topical remedy for Acne, maybe not a narcotic or something damaging or which may be abused). I said okay, and I'd try back on Monday. Monday rolls around and that I possess the drugstore FAX over a petition since they desired a facsimile. The pharmacy named MULTIPLE occasions, faxed MULTIPLE days, I predicted MULTIPLE occasions and talked with many members of this group, for example, physician. This went back and forth for a little while, stating they faxed the drugstore (even though the pharmacy obtained no facsimile). Considering that the drugstore received no notification that they may refill my prescription, the mind pharmacist called the doctors office and then phoned me to depart this message. "they can not refill your prescription as: 1). They're an urgent care centre and two. You must go in and schedule a consultation"Many folks may think that is dumb, but first of all I am from out of country and only moved here. I had great experience here. This clinic is a lot bigger than it looks from outside. I had gone to see the doctor because i was having some back and stomach pains for the past couple days. My primary doctor was booked for few months so i decided to go to urgent care. The receptionists were very polite and friendly with big smile which is very rare at doctor's offices or hospitals. Receptionist gave me papers to fill out and I asked her how long before i will be called in. She told me as soon as I am done with my paper work I should be called in, sure enough i was called in within 5 minutes and seen by the doctor 5mins after checking my blood pressure and all that good stuff. Doctor was very nice, professional (hand some guy). After examination he told me that he would like to me take a urinalysis to make sure i did not have any infection. The nurse instructed me about the test. After the urine test, i came back to the examination room, while waiting for the results doctor came to complete his assessment, nurse comes into the examination room without knocking on the door with a piece of paper in her hand i guess those were the urine test results and started saying something to the doctor in different language which scared the heck out of me I thought there was something really bad with the results. the doctor told her to leave the results there and he will explain it to the patient (he said to her in English) but she still kept on talking in her language all i heard was the word "infection", i was freaking out. she finally left and doctor apologize for the interruption. that was only thing i thought was very unprofessional. If i had to hear that for few more minutes i might have had anxiety attack (another condition to be treated). Other than that everything was great. I would definitely go back but hopefully i wouldn't have the same issue again :) read more

Took FOREVER to see a provider. I waited a while in the waiting area, which is totally understandable since I walked in to the clinic.. but waiting for forever in the exam room? Not acceptable. I have so many problems with this urgent care. They are a waste of time and clearly don't care for the well-being of the patients that come in. I saw the provider for only a minute or two, and was referred out to get an x-ray taken. I was told that the urgent care would give me a call with my results, and the radiology office told me that they send over the x-ray results that same day to the provider. Okay, I thought, that's awesome! Did this urgent care call me? NEVER. So I had to call 5 times because waiting OVER a week for my x-ray results is ridiculous. I was in pain, didn't know what my next steps were, had to continue working since I don't have my final result and it made my pain even worse by affecting the whole area. I'm now suffering from other issues because this clinic didn't care about me. The first time I called for my results, they said "oh don't worry, we'll give you a call when they're in" (which I knew was a lie, but just said okay). The next few times, they kept taking my name and number over the phone to give me a call back... they never called me. The final time, I was so fed up, I made sure they knew how irritated I was. And next thing you know, they called me back in 5 minutes with my results. With something so EASY AND obviously accessible, why are they so lazy. I had to go see another provider, and they were so helpful and efficient. If anyone is having pain and may need a long recovery time, avoid this place. Everyone around me who knew my situation even said they would never go here. Clearly, I'm never going to this clinic again. Thanks for making my situation more worse. read more

Be warned about their closing time: They close and lock their doors a few minutes EARLIER than their stated closing time, even if you have called ahead and have been told to come and that they will be open until the exact closing time. Tried to come here on a Sat. when their stated time for locking their doors and seeing the last patient is 2:30pm; got there a few minutes before that and they had already locked the doors. Finally I got someone's attention (I think she was letting someone else out the door, otherwise I'm sure I would have been ignored standing outside the doors until the end of time), and I explained that I had been waiting there for a few minutes before 2:30pm and that I had called ahead and been promised that I had until 2:30pm to get there. She left for a minute to ask the doctor but came back and told us the doctor would not see us because"the doctor is leaving". By this point it was 2:32pm; if they are supposedly open until 3:00pm then I am left wondering why the doctor "is leaving" at 2:32... I'm sure the doctor had a really important golf game or party to get to. I checked the time I had against three separate time-keeping devices and it was right on the money, so it seems pretty obvious that they set their clocks ahead by at least a few minutes because they want to leave early. I can understand that but if those are your priorities, you should not be running an urgent care practice--you should just have some 9-5 M-F general practice where you can schedule your golf games with no trouble. Clearly, patients and their emergencies are NOT a priority here. I guess the lesson for others is, do not try to come anywhere near their stated closing time because no courtesy will be extended to you. read more
